I was wandering outside Pinwheel Forest, having trouble getting past Lenora and her Watchog due to not having really strong Pokemon at the time. I decided to try and find Audino to kill to level up. I then managed to find a Sawk and I caught him.

He never left my team once, and he managed to pull off the finishing blow on one of Cailtin's Pokemon whenever I finally hit the Elite Four. (Granted, said Pokemon was weakened beforehand, but it was enough to prevent Caitlin from using a Full Restore)

This theme will forever haunt me. I came across a wild double battle, and I had three Pokemon left in my party. One of them knocked out both of my Pokemon in one hit, so I had to bring out two more. I only had one in my inventory, so I selected it. It told me to select another. I selected the same Pokemon, but it said that it was already out. I couldn't select a fainted Pokemon or exit out of the screen. I hadn't saved in hours. My whole day was ruined when I hit that power button...
