  • saw this show in memphis tn. AMAZING LINEUP!

  • fuck the sword. Are torche seriously OPENING for them ?!

  • @frostybob123 Yes, Torche and The Sword are awesome!

  • @frostybob123 - it was a Texas gig so The Sword probably had the (close to) hometown thing going for them. But I agree

  • just awesome !

  • saw these guys last night. their drummer kicked through his bass drum xD then he attempted to play the next song with his floor tom as the bass. got half way through and stopped when they brought him another bass drum.

  • @Sempart

These guys are fucking troopers. Theres a video around here on youtube where his drum set collapses during a freakout and he clutches the cymbals between his legs and bangs it as hard as he can. When I saw them open for Boris (they were better than Boris, btw) his drum stick flew out of his hand and landed directly in front of me. Didn't even faze him one bit.

Plus, they're all really nice guys.

  • @RenegadeReplicant wouldnt doubt they are cool guys. They put on a great show and i hope i can see them again soon!

  • I saw these guys with Kylesa and High on Fire Saturday night in ABQ. It was badass. They were having so many tech. difficulties, like Rick's snare shitting out on him, and Steve's mic volume was nil and his Goblin shit out, and he wanted to quit, but when we begged he relented and pressed on. Even though it wasn't the most technical show, it was still badass. Even got covered in Nunez's sweat I was so close. TORCHE!!!!!

  • Bad Ass!

  • YOU ARE FUCKING AWASOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What's the name of the song where they use the 'Bomb Drop' tuning, I'd like to hear it :)

  • @jakers1001 here's one: Charge of the Brown Recluse

  • respect!!!

  • these guys are SOOOOOO fucking loud in concert

  • @LowLevelHum Orange full stacks will have that effect hahaha

  • @LowLevelHum In SLC these guys were louder than Coheed & Cambria's pure awesomeness and also louder than Circa Survive and their frickin loud/annoying fans. Can't imagine how loud it must have been here in this little venue!

  • Pretty good video, well filmed, good enough quality

  • gonna see them again with baroness. cant wait!!!

  • same here man hahahaha. cant wait for the show here in atlanta

  • that's where it all began for me. saw 'em with KYLESA... i feed off of this concert to this very day!

  • I love this track, great band. Come back to the UK soon guys!

  • Jesu t-shirt. Nice.

    Great sound. <3

  • The lead singer looks like Jack Black minus the hair.

  • @smohan123

    It's Steve Brooks. He's a cooool guy.

  • @smohan123 and minus the black.

  • great band! i gotta say that charge of the brown recluse is THE heaviest song ive ever heard

  • juan punched the singer in the face and got booted..touring really puts people in a bad mood...

  • Sounds soooooo good with weed, xanax, and a toll house cookie ice cream sandwich via headphones. Have a nice day.

  • I don't understand why you need drugs to enjoy this music. It sounds awesome on it's own.

  • Amen.

  • Word, but I think it can compliment drug use. Particularly MARIJUANA.

  • @ChaosIgnition u don't need them, it just makes it even better lol.

  • OMG I just heard this Dredg band after reading this post and its so obviously douche rock. You can tell frat boys use it as their secret weapon when trying to finger bang dumb sorority cunts.

  • you've got that right. i commented on the new dredg single the other week, saying it was garbage and i got bombarded by defensive quiffs. "don't you say that about my favorite band!!!" i'm going to add some dredg to my arsenal and get some sorority booootay.

  • Anyone know why Juan left the band?

  • Torche and Dredg are both very good at what they do. this tour was like water and oil, it just doesnt mix. Put each of them in their own element and they shine.I'm a Torche fan that liked Dredg's music. You cant compare the two bands because they are totally different. Try putting Sabbath with Billy Joel. It wont work either. Dont criticize anyone who has the guts to bring their music, ideas and feelings to a stage that makes someone happy. I think the losers are the ones bitching about it.

  • Torche played an amazing show tonight, full body shivers :]

I'm a fan of Dredg too but Torche really stole the show with.... "Epicness".

"Fat Waves" is a beast of a track live.

  • I saw them last night in Albuquerque, and I agree; they sounded terrible. I like their music, but the guitar was overwhelming absolutely everything else. I didn't hear a single word that Steve sang. It really was difficult to even attempt at enjoying their performance. If the amp were turned down to almost half of where it was, it would have probably been really badass!

  • i think you guys had bad luck, when they playes in new orleans, it was pristine

  • you probably think john mayer is great, torche owns you

  • Ha ha ha...hell no. Fuck John Mayer. And yeah, as I said, Torche is fucking badass, but whomever is responsible for making them sound like shit live should be fired.

  • Thanks Torche... Thanks...

  • I saw them with Dredg and From Monument to Masses. My ears haven't stopped bleeding. Worst live musical performance I've ever heard.

  • haha

  • that's because you are a fucking loser who was probably there to see Dredg....Viva la Frat Boy Rock!! Sucker.

  • Dredg Kicks Torche's ass to the point of death. Frat Boy Rock???? a.k.a. "Have to be drunk to enjoy rock"??? Go listen to some real music.

  • torche is way better than dredg, I can't believe they have to be embarrassed like that

  • Haha, Torche would do well to become half the band dredg is. Seriously, I'm just glad we didn't have to hear Torche at the New Orleans show.

And don't even try to start on me about dredg being frat boy rock. If anything Torche is fat boy rock, where a bunch of sweating mouthbreathing losers headbang and talk about how hardcore it is.

  • Baton Rouge show, I mean.

  • you must like christian rock a lot....

  • Umm, I'm agnostic, man. Think what you want, but your own shallow view of music is blinding you.

No one showed up for the Torche sets because no one wants to see Torche. You can blame that on being too cool to be mainstream, but most people see it for what it is, dredg is just a better band.

If you want to know some bands that I listen to as well as dredg, check out Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah, Opeth, Porcupine Tree...any of which would blow Torche off of any stage.

  • torche are a great band..if no one showed up for torche maybe the picked up the wrong crowd to play..if you think that my view of music is shallow..then consider this...comparing dredg to torche is like comparing 2 different kinds of music..if you can't see or hear the difference, then you've got a really big problem in your head..

  • I'm not arguing the same point you are. I was replying to Constantine's idiotic posts. Then you chimed in with your suggestion that I like christian rock. If you think dredg is Christian rock, you have a really big problem in YOUR head. My "shallow" comment was about the people in here who seemingly relate volume to quality.

I think Torche probably had no business on this tour. They just convey a totally different vibe that clashes with dredg's atmosphere.

  • VIVA LA TORCHE!!!!

    Help!

  • goddamn the singer is hot. and gay. and in a fucking amazing band... finally.

  • Awesome, but how do you pronounce the name of the band?

  • its pronounce TORCH, the "e" is silent. They add an "'" at the end, TORCHE'

  • Cool thanks

  • fuck. cant wait to see more meanderthal shit live.
