I don't think the ride is scary at all. I love going on it every year but this year the water part at the end was closed off so i got sad because thats my favorite part. I'm going to Fright Night tonight so i hope that part is open :)

Ugh, I went through this thing as a child in the early 90's or so... does it still have the rope-bridge thing over a watery room with hippos at the bottom? I think this 'ride' is the root of my fear of statues, especially ones in water..

My mother said she thought the wall fell on her. When the lights turned back on, some blonde chick was on the floor. The teenage ride operators didn't know what to do. Turns out she was just dehydrated. I remember this every time I ride it, lol

I remember the 70s version, I liked it better, especially the big jungle room with the spraying hippo and the rope bridge. Plus the rotating walkway was neater in that one, really screwed with your balance.
@subataii Oh GOD the hippo and the rope bridge.. That was still there in the late 80's / early 90's when I went through it. Scarred me for life. I can't be in a pool alone for more than a few minutes and I have a paralyzing fear of statues, especially ones partially submerged.

Once we got to the animals we saw a door that said exit and we thought that door took us to the end of the ride. We thought the ride was over. We opened it and was outside. It took us by the entrance. Had to climb under railes to get out.

@johnny10301968 I was only 4 years old when the Ghost Ship burned down. :-( There's a nice article on the Darkride and Funhouse Enthusiasts website about the Ghost Ship, along with photos of the ride, and photos of the ride when it was on fire. :-( In my opinion, the Ghost Ship, Le Cachot, and the Old Mill were Kennywood's best dark rides. I loved the old version of Noah's Ark too, but they did an excellent job on the new version, unlike Garfield's Nightmare.
@kennywoodjoe It burned down?? I've been out of state now for 9 years and used to be a Kennywood regular but dang that's not cool. I agree, those were awesome dark rides! We only have one in Denver and it's kinda like Ghostwood but not as detailed if you ask me.

Anyone remember the ghost ship dark ride that was at Kennywood?

@johnny10301968 I was only 4 years old when the Ghost Ship burned down. :-( There's a nice article on the Darkride and Funhouse Enthusiasts website about the Ghost Ship, along with photos of the ride, and photos of the ride when it was on fire. :-( In my opinion, the Ghost Ship, Le Cachot, and the Old Mill were Kennywood's best dark rides. I loved the old version of Noah's Ark too, but they did an excellent job on the new version, unlike Garfield's Nightmare.

@kennywoodjoe It burned down?? I've been out of state now for 9 years and used to be a Kennywood regular but dang that's not cool. I agree, those were awesome dark rides! We only have one in Denver and it's kinda like Ghostwood but not as detailed if you ask me.

@idkjade Me too. The part I freaked out at was the flooding chamber. I was younger back then, so I got the misconception that it was actually flooding and I ran to the door at the end and tried to open it, but the wheel wouldn't turn.

LOL, I was really little when I went on this for the first time, when the elevator stopped and went black, I asked "Is this it? This isn't a ride....." People burst out laughing, and to this day, do not understand why :/

Went on for the first time last week ... creep factor is high. Seems like a nothing ride (and it is) but it sure is creepy!

i'm a wimp when it comes to dark rides and when i went here i saw the cobras and i love snakes but they still scared me because they were tapping on the glass and my mom told me to look at the bottom of a glass box and an aligator was at the bottom of it with it's mouth open and it scared the shit outta me!

they dont even show the inside. there is a gorilla head that pops out of no where i should know i went on it like 2 time the floor shakes. the lights go out in the beginning it is not like the real story though noahs ark has changed over the years. i went there when i was 5 going on 6 and 8 going on 9 im 1o now it has changed alot.

i only went on this ride once when i was very little... i just remembered being so scared that someone had to carry me off the ride XD my friend says that if you look to the side at the beginng of the ride, u can see jesus behind glass... i wonder if she is right, if so i find that kinda creepy that someone would put that on a ride
