Funny ..this is the same guy who was on the news today bashing natural cosmetics (which I've been using without any problems for years) while saying that parabens in cosmetics are not only needed but absolutely necessary. Sounds like hogwash to me.
Plastic Chemical Bisphenol A (BPA) Linked to Cardiovascular Disease in Adults, Analysis Confirms - ScienceDaily (Jan. 13, 2010)
Using data from the US government's National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2004-2004, which for the first time measured urinary BPA concentrations, the research team found that a quarter of the population with the highest levels of BPA were more than twice as likely to report having heart disease or diabetes.
Work for the ACC Joe? > 3:45 < What! Leaving #1 plastic (or any other type) bottles out in the sun for some time and then drinking out of them is foolish. Anyone with a nose and taste buds can tell that it leaches. What does it matter if it's not BPA? #1 leaches phthalates and antimony for example and studies with snails have shown it to have estrogenic properties regardless. Fill the glass half-full, not the plastic cup. Use that Tupperware all you like, as for myself, it's glass and stainless.
Someone who advocates boiling water in bpa lined cans for cooking sent this video to me . I would take the position with the guest that one should not use a plastic 4 a purpose it was not intended for, & play it safe by not using it if there are other alternatives. BPA does leach out, especially when exposed to continual high heat. I was surprised that this was sent for the purpose of debunking BPA dangers in boiling when at no time did the guest touch on that matter.
