  • Plastic Chemical Bisphenol A (BPA) Linked to Cardiovascular Disease in Adults, Analysis Confirms - ScienceDaily (Jan. 13, 2010)

Using data from the US government's National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2004-2004, which for the first time measured urinary BPA concentrations, the research team found that a quarter of the population with the highest levels of BPA were more than twice as likely to report having heart disease or diabetes.

  • Work for the ACC Joe? > 3:45 < What! Leaving #1 plastic (or any other type) bottles out in the sun for some time and then drinking out of them is foolish. Anyone with a nose and taste buds can tell that it leaches. What does it matter if it's not BPA? #1 leaches phthalates and antimony for example and studies with snails have shown it to have estrogenic properties regardless. Fill the glass half-full, not the plastic cup. Use that Tupperware all you like, as for myself, it's glass and stainless.

  • Someone who advocates boiling water in bpa lined cans for cooking sent this video to me . I would take the position with the guest that one should not use a plastic 4 a purpose it was not intended for, & play it safe by not using it if there are other alternatives. BPA does leach out, especially when exposed to continual high heat. I was surprised that this was sent for the purpose of debunking BPA dangers in boiling when at no time did the guest touch on that matter.
