  • i wanna pop that bitch leslie right in the mouth!=.= for showing her how to ruin her life just to make herself look better...wow i like the ending really shows how ana/mia sufferers actually recover and the hard long road ahead of them unlike most other movies where they just 'stop' and its just unrealistic. i know how it feels though, i myself suffered from both ana and mia and altough ive tried many times to recover i always relapse and most of the time it just gets worse!=( stay strong girls!

  • She's about as short as me, lol I'm only 5'1

  • am i the only one who feels hungry after watching these kinds of movies?

  • omg i wanna punch the coach

  • They should have sued the coach sent him to jail or something and replaced him with a good coach

  • Comment removed

  • i like the ending.

  • Whenever I watch these movies I always want to know how much they weighed at the beginning, how much they weighed at their worst, how much they gained at the end, how many calories they ate..

  • @DarkieDarkside The best friend didn't tell her either, just saying that he's not the only person in the wrong...

  • Ohh so that's where i've seen andy before, power rangers DUH xDD amg. Very touching movie, i can't believe my best friend went through this and i didn't know her back then :/ Fuck =//

  • what a crappy end

  • @sourou21 it is not a crappy ending, i think it's accurate. recovering from anorexia does not happen overnight. there will be bouts of optimism and reason,

but most of the time, they will revert back to old habits.

  • @fourhands360 no she has anorexia binge-purge sub type. She goes as long as she can without eating, eats and purges. Heavy exercise can be present in bulimia as well as anorexia, and is a disorder by itself.

  • Woah I just found out the Actress who plays the character of Leslie passed away in 2004 May she R.I.P

  • @starsara100 no she didnt....

  • @starsara100 is that tara boger? im trying to figure out if she is dead

  • mushroooooooooooooms!

  • i think the coach is sincere about caring for the girls, but i don't think he really understands what they're going through, he's a guy and he probably thinks you can run for 5 minutes and lose a pound... thats just what i get from him though...but he is very ignorant

  • hey what is the song starting at about 6:20? I LOVE IT

  • @SkinnieMinnification

Don't give up by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush

  • @SkinnieMinnification PETER GABRIEL dont give up :)

  • best gymnastics movie ever

  • @ImTongueTied its just too quick to be realistic

  • AHHH full turns.

they are the most ridiculous not usefull skill EVER. but when you do one right... it's like YESSSSSSSS

that's what her face said at the end :)

  • is her name annie or andy lol

  • @waz165 andy

  • @waz165 its andy, it shows her name in some of the clips

  • she looks sooo like adriana in 90210!

  • @dollface10196 i agree

  • My aunt died of anorexia when she was a little over 20. I never got to meet her.

  • Having an eating disorder is no joke.. I should know..

And some people just will never understand.. unless they go through it themselves.. or have a loved one that is..

  • this recovery is shit.

  • good film crappy ending

  • who's playing Andy?

  • @MultiHalla amy jo johnson aka oriqinal pink ranqer

  • @MultiHalla Amy Jo Jonson

  • @MultiHalla Amy Jo Johnson

  • what's the song at 8:00?

  • @AirforceOrange Don't give up by Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush

  • @FireMarco thanks =]

  • This was a wonderful movie.Thanks for the upload.Peace!!

  • i send love to all those suffering an eating disorder right now...

i know what its like but if you choose recovery it gets better -- much MUCH better

and easier . and you become a more understanding person because of it

so ... know theres always hope.. hmm yea thats all i wanted 2 say ...

  • I was so amazed at how accurate this is. There's so much in the media that suggests you just pick it, and once you start eating again everything magically gets better. This movie really showed how much of a struggle it is just to eat, even when she really wants to. It gets into the mental side of it, instead of just showing the physical. I thought the ending was going to be disappointing at first because it seemed like she was just going to "stop" but it actually showed that recovery is hard too

  • @movinfoward thats how anorexics eat. They pick food into little tiny pieces and then as much as they try to eat it, they mostly play around with it. Its a long road to recovery. Trust me, i have first hand experience with the eating disorder.

  • I know that she needs to get better and recover, but at the same time I really wanted to see her compete.

  • has anyone else notice that chelsea Hobbs and the guy yelling at her is on Make it or break it. He is Payson's father and she is a gymnyst

  • It's weird. It's like you lose weight to be better at a sport, or because your parents/friends pressure you to lose weight, or just to be more perfect. But, by the time you lose the weight, you're too weak and obsessed to enjoy anything. It sucks.

  • Nice ending.

  • Andy eats so...weird. It just...irks the hell out of me. Pick..pick..pick...WOMAN PUT YOUR FORK DOWN IN THE FOOD PICK IT UP AND EAT IT!! GRRRRRRRRRR!

  • @movinfoward

She's meant to be scared of it.

  • i wish i was 100 pounds

  • @lemoncookies93 why?

  • that was a sweet movie, and shes so pretty, im glad it didnt get rele bad and glad she didnt die

  • Seems odd that in some countries a person will eat a perfectly good meal and puke it up intentionally and in other countries people are starving to death, digging in the rash for a peach pit!!!

  • Can u mail this movie to me? I can't find it anymore. thanx.

  • @erichaung2000 you can find it at Amazon.com that is where i found it. at the time it was 10.00 but not so sure how much it is now. i think its like 30 or more.

  • Thanks for posting (:

  • It's weird. I watch movies like this hoping it will help me, but it ends up making me even less hungry. I guess this movie is just to raise awareness, but once you have anorexia, you really can't get rid of it fully.

  • @KaraCD I Know it's so hard to stop

  • @KaraCD if you stay away from the problem sites then you wont have so much of a problem go to a support site

  • @KaraCD No, I don't expect this movie would help someone who has gotten into anorexia. Since it's a mental disorder the best way to treat it is to get some health education and really lock into the knowledge of what's good for the human body. We all need fuel and we all need exercise. If your body doesn't have any calories or fat to eat, it eats muscle. Life is all about balance and you diet is no different. Eat some healthy things, eat some not-so-healthy things and get some exercise in.

  • It says Chelsea Hobbs in in the movie as the new gymnast but didnt see her anyone else know?

  • @STEPHIESPLZ The new one at the end? The one on the scales?

  • @XTCandherVOICE yes. she has long brown hair or like light brown hair!

  • @STEPHIESPLZ yes she was in it. she was the new gymnast on the scale david is telling her she needs to lose four pounds the only way to do that is with less less fat.

  • What the hell? Her so-called "boyfriend" is such an asshole. He made out with her best friend, never told her about it, and abandoned her in a time of need. Then once she started getting better he's just like, "I want to be with you." Fuck him. And its not just him. In real life people are always like that. They abandon you when you need something from them and only come back when there are no strings attached. Its stupid. And in the movie, I think its the reason for Andy's eating disorder.

  • great Moive

  • i dont understand... the whole concept of starving urself to be thin when u r doing tht amount of training. like where do u expect to draw energy from? when i was doing gym i ate twice as much as any normal person my age and i never put on weight because i was training 33 hours a week. if you are training 30+ hours a week naturally your guna be burning fat.. the logic is right there. u eat, have energy-burn fat by exercising! simple.u can eat healthy u know.. nobodys forcing u to eat mcdonalds.

  • is anorexia wen u starve yourself?

  • yes.

  • yah, anorexia is when you don't eat and bulimia is when you make yourself throw up everything you eat.

  • @OTHsmallvillefan yes, but that's only a symptom.

  • the song at the end....?

  • ana is awful. I lived it for 6 years, and had a misscarrage to it. My dance teacher saved me from it when she could. it sucks, this whole movie makes me cry... i know what she was goin thirough(i danced competivly)

  • I know exactly hoe Andie felt! I live the hell of anarexia ever day! Yet I still can't quite. Guess that's what happenes when you dance and when you think you should be thin yet everyone in your class is a lot bigger then you. I hate ana!

  • she reminds me a little of julia roberts! haha this whole time i was trying to place name to face of who amy jo johnson reminded me of :)

anorexia/bulimia sucks. don't go there, ever.

I swear I'll never go back to that hell.

    healthy curves are beautiful ♥

  • ana sucks!

  • ummm... a little late to ask but, who plays andie? ♥

  • @emo44608

    amy jo johnson

  • I don't get it, he never told her he made out with her best friend... and he feels okay with this? Scumbag.

  • @DarkieDarkside Yea I Knw Like I TOtally HAte this kind of guy seriously !!

  • @FashiionWoRd Yeah she's young and gullible and going through things so she can't really see him for what he is. He's an idiot.

  • @DarkieDarkside He's just being a guy. When the littlest things were upsetting Andie the last thing he should do is go and tell her he made out with their good friend. At the end of the movie he thought she was moving back anyways, he didn't know of her staying until she told him. He probably thought she would just go back to the way she was after moving.

  • @Quentin242451 lol...he's not just being a guy, he's being an insensitive unfaithtful prick. No matter what he "thought" he should have left her alone and be done with her. The fact that he is hiding it and showing no remorse or emotion about it would hurt way worse when she would find out , especially since her best friend was involved.

  • @DarkieDarkside They admit they made a mistake and were done with it. It's not like he slept with the girl. IRL guys are worse. And he had the right to be an insensitive 'prick'. When he did get to communicate with his GF she kept getting mad at him.

  • @Quentin242451 You saying he's just being a guy is generalizing and not all guys are like that. Second, it doesn't matter what OTHER guys do. If you caught your bf and bestfriend kissing it would break your heart just as much with a kiss. It's cheating regardless and her being mad at him isn't an excuse. You either talk to it out with someone, try to find out what is going on, or break up.

  • Trite fake ending. It's not her eating but her social role, like nothing except for her Gym medals! Always OWING everyone for FEEDING & housing her. Josh is a soft creep of extremely limited intelligence. He tries so hard - but can never understand, in his silly letter jacket!

Well adjusted moron. If Ana had a real hot number they might take the plunge & free themselves from all that small-town "normalcy" crap. At least she is not self-pitying.

  • omg i finally remember why Amy Jo Johnson looks so familiar : she was in the series "Felicity".

I love that she's back with her boyfriend here .

  • @Floralin

And she was the first pink power ranger xD

  • I thought the ending was actually unique and good xD Inspiring xD

  • Is that it..... Don't get me wrong guys and no offence I liked the movie but I din't like the way it ended, the ending sucks!

But the movie does show that Eating Disorder wont help u... and can end up killing u!

  • i did liked the movie but the end is sooooo wrong!! recovering isnt that easy ! at all ! i've been ana since im 12, it was my lifestyle for nearly 8years until i realise that it is a real disorder,it;s been a year and a half now,and honestly nothing in my mind have really changed, i still want perfection and it's definitely not gonna happens by adding pounds!!!!

  • I was so scared of anirexia thay played this movie every year or two in my midal and high school i was over waight but i understud my body and i maid shour i never stareved my self i now forget to eat and have lost waight with out trying and my boyfriend thou i am still over weight makes me eat so and workout so i lose wait the right way slow you sound like you need to understand he is beter then perfect he loves me some times perfect is not good enough sme times the flaws are better

  • @shellnet411 mistakes !

  • i cant spell and i miss leter s when i dont look and am typing fast i hit rong leters once in a wile so what im just saying im anot anorexic but some times i forget to eat and my boyfriend has to remind me to eat he wants me helthy he loves me i was afraid to be to thin even though I was over waight but i could allways move and walk a good bit without haveing to stop i walked every ware my wait never interfeared with my life this is abut anorexia not spelling

  • @shellnet411 i didnt mention anything about youР life or what happened but i actually had a hard time reading it.. if you're typing so fast read it before you post it because other people may feel the same way as i do ... and honestly i understand u had a hard time but couldn't get the whole idea of what's trying to say because of the sloppy writing

  • you went to high school?

    hard to believe....

  • yeah, that's so true, its not that easy. you have to try really really hard and you keep falling into it again. it's an awfull fight.

  • i met ana when i was 14/15, and it slowly became my life. i couldn't even see what i was doing. you just cant stop. its really hard. now i'mkinda over it, but there's always smth that pulls you down. that fight is forever. but we cant give up. we have to keep up in mind that we are allright and we have to fight for the ones that we love and keep hurting because of these horrible desease. dont give up. fight for the ones you love, fight for your life.

  • ok the ending kinda sucked no offense and i highly doubt that she would just "poof" magically recover from anorexia that quick like within hours...everyone stay healthy and remember ana is a lifestyle not a disorder PEACE!

  • Seriously? You think Ana is simply a lifestyle? Have you ever lived with it/been in recovery?

I am sorry, but it is in no way a lifestyle...

  • @FoxyFarrah There are some women who exhibit and practice anorexia behavior simply based on a lifestyle choice. (Pro anorexia) They think of it as posistive way of thinking simple a life choice to be thin

  • @FoxyFarrah Sure, anorexia is a lifestyle....just about as much as crack, cocaine, and marijuana are a lifestyle. Did you know that? (sarcasm)

    XD

  • @FoxyFarrah so ur anorexic

  • the SonG sounds likE it came Straight out of The lion kinG

  • also for some of the comments on here school is starting so its going to be easier for girls to starve themselfs and skip lunch and breakfeast and maybe even dinner or eat dinner then throw it all up.

  • Most eating disorders are not just physical but very much emotional and if you can find the root of the eating disorder example low self esteem ect then easier to find a solution. Know that Gof loves you and if you seek Him you will find him, John 10:10 says"the theif comes to kill steal and destroy but I have come that you may have life and have it in abundance,"

  • the only reason she got that bad is because she was not eating and was noy taking vitimans

  • wtf is she eating?!

  • does she remind anyone of andie in 13 going on 30?

  • Starving yourself is probably the dumbest way to loose weight. Everyone knows that eating many small meals a day and exercising is the best weigh to loose weight. Always, recovering anorectics gain the weight back in less then half of the time it took them to loose it.

People starve themselves for many different and serious reasons but starving yourself to loose weight is just idiotic. There are many many ways to loose weight safely and the best is getting off your lazy ass and exercising!

  • I dont know if i belive that ANYONE starves themselves JUST to lose weight...i think if they feel desperate enough to do that, it must be deeper.

  • must be horrible to have an eating disorder and not be able to stop. Its just really hard when you look in the mirror and absolutely hate wat u see. im really small for a year 10 and i think im chubby. i hate it. im a figure skater with loads of leg muscle. i cant wear wat i want i feel like a freak.ive even been teased. but its mostly all wat i see.all these things just cause depression.i guess thats how people feel. i'd never starve myself though,i eat fruit and less junk, and ive lost weight

  • i guess...you can't really care what other people say about you....cuz people will talk no matter what. so, i guess what i am learning is that you gotta be happy with how you are....

  • @morikahjo It usually is.

  • not just about being thin tho

  • i hope that coach rots in hell.

how could he say something like that to those girls?!

  • Thank You! artistoliviapeach! I always just figure if I eat less and one meal a day and skip a meal every now and then. I am not anorexic bc I am not skinny or look sickly and such or even getting sick. And, I am not bulimic bc I don't and can't make myself throw up! So, I figured those were eating disorders and I don't have any! I am just desperate at times to lose weight and want fast results. Thanks 4 the info though and I will keep that in mind!

  • I never had an eating disorder. I would starve myself and lose 20 pounds here and there. Go back to eating and do it all over again. I would gain and lose back and forth. My problem have never been that severe and never turned into anything severe!

  • starving yourself on any level is a disorder. flip flop dieting is an eating disorder in itself. I have had many friends with the same problems. Starving yourself to drop 20 is a problem, I am sorry to tell you this, but I hope you try to simply replace processed foods with more fruits veggies and nuts. You can lose weight by eating good stuff that your body needs.

  • i love the ending. beautiful. a real inspiration for young women to recover from this awful disease.

    xoxoxo

  • who plays andie ?

  • i loved this movie. it shows how gymnastics really is.

  • is there really that much pressure ? if you know :)

  • I hate the ending..it´s so unfinished in some way. I have anonorexia...and it hell doesn´t stop with a happy ending.

  • how would you know?if youd experienced the ending you wouldnt have it anymore...i wouldnt be so sure.

  • have an eating disorder sucks i have bulimia and it has cost me alot and almost died, but i have been in recovery for 4 months thank god

  • This is an excellent movie. A close friend of mine was going through the exact same thing herself, except her passion was ballet. She was a totally different person - withdrawn, quiet, moody - for almost four months, before we finally managed to persuade her to get help. Although she still finds it hard sometimes, she's now a healthy weight and has pushed dancing to the sidelines. But just like in this movie, it was her dance coach who started everything. My friend was told to lose 5kg. Stupid.

  • NICE!

  • nice!

  • I feel the need to be perfect too. In my case its grad school, but its the same zip code as hell.

  • i loved this movie

  • I was hoping that when she saw the coach say what he said to her to the other girls she would like go to him and you know say something... like that it's wrong and stuff:)

  • Might be the wrong way to do it, but it's the only way the gils will get to the top in gymnastics. It's tough but there it is.

  • but for her in the film it got out of hand and ended it for her, there are better ways of losing weight

  • this film was amazing but the ending spoilt it.

She wudnt just be able to start eating agen just like that. It takes time and for most people with anorexia it never goes away.

  • I agree. And the last part was really confusing...it should have had a better conclusion.

  • i agree too.

  • Plus it's very difficult even to eat anything. If they start eating at all everybody starts with low calorie stuff and works up. it doesn't just happen

  • Extra 5/5!

  • i hate the end of this movie. you just dont start eating just like that. its not that easy. i think they should;ve shown her in a recovery place or something.

  • i loved the movie

    very good

so if your thinking about becoming aneroxic, or it just happens, then maybe you can change your mind by this movie

    loved it

  • nobody thinks "oh, i think i'll become anorexic today." it's something that happens over a course of time with pressure.

  • yeah but some people might be thinking about eating less....and changed their minds. yes it does happen over a period of time, but people could be thinking about trying to starve themselves.

  • i've wanted to skip meals and not eat many times but i just cant bring myself to do it. i like to eat! but im always disgusted by wt i see in the mirror im 4'9 and weigh about 7 and a half stone. im a figure skater and have loads of leg muscle but i still 'look' big, i cant wear wat i want to wear because things sometimes dont fit right and also i dont feel confident if i wear like summery shorts and a top and i bet i look terrible in a dress :'( godd it gets ya down real bad

  • same here im 4'9 and 7.5 stone too and i play ice hockey :/ i hate being short it makes me look even heavier

  • i play ice hockey too!

    sick

yeah i mean ive been in and out of eds

the things about hockey is u have to remember your playing with ppl who are bigger,

and hockeys makes u get alot of leg muscle

  • @HieiLawliet me 2

  • You shouldn't do it at all. That is the motive of the movie.

  • It makes me feel sad by the way she's so insecure :(

  • The coach puts in their minds that thinner is always better, he doesn't even tell them the right way to do it like one poster said there is a right way to lose some weight and be healthy and good at what you do.

  • which is the name of the song?

  • Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush - Don't Give Up

  • I think the coach is hot..but the way he treats his girls is unprofessional. He tells them to be their best..but what is the point of being your best..when it brings out the worst in you? I believe in being healthy..I've already lost a few pounds myself..but doing it the right way. I eat more calories for lunch..and then eat a lot less at dinner..and nothing to eat after 8pm. There's a right way to loose weight..and ther is also the wrong way.

  • I love the song here at the end. It's on my MP3 player. :) And I love this movie. :)

  • i loved the movie but not the ending i hope that this movie can help girls and make them see what the r doing to them selves

  • During the entire movie David always had the best come backs!!!!!!!!!! lol!!!

  • Leslie is a bitch!

  • Leslie is a bitch!

  • Thanks sooo much for uploading the film :-)

I saw it once some years ago, really wanted to see it again.

    Nice one!

  • i don't like dat lady's voice... dey sing bad!!!!

  • you spell bad

  • @fairycakesuk badly*
