Then he told me we're going to his place in New Jersey for Thanksgiving. Which I didn't know until now, after I bought all but one item of food. Everybody had snatched every can of cranberries by the time I made it through the massive knot of people in the fruit section.
I asked him if they have cranberries in N.J. and told him about my nightmare shopping experience.
Our friend bought a house that used to belong to the governor of a small town.
He spared no expense at fixing it up. Even the landscapers were surprised at his disregard of how much it would cost to complete the task.
There's one thing I don't understand and that's how you can go from literally living on government income then, when you get money, spend it like you've always had it.
I thought you'd be frugal if you went from nothing to everything financially speaking.
Damn it would have been funny if you fell in the water although i wouldnt want to hear the swearing nice vid i can be there with out the risk of dehydraiting looks hot in there
It's funny to see this. I love Rippon Lea. I used to work there and actually did the table setting in the great dining room! It took hours to do it according to Victorian rules and it had better still be perfect!
Paintings like that were trendy for a while. There's a good one at the London national gallery of the Duke of Wellington in full military regalia being lifted to heaven by St Peter or someone.
Wellington had it commisionned himself, and in it St Peter looks more humble than Wellington.
Meh, I don't mind jazz but I only like that which is integrated with something else--mostly electronic music, mainly because it actually GOES somewhere :P
truly amazing beautiful scenery arrggh no no nonononono jazz musician. funny how heroin is illegal but really crap white jazz is somehow supposed to be art?
AA! Quite intersting about the way he started the garden only using the natural water flow. Peter Andrews has set up his farm on the same idea, check it out under Natural Sequence Farming.
Aww, it reminds me of old Rancho San Rafael, with a bit of Golden Gate Tea Garden & Street of Dreams thrown in.
Oh, Magnolia's. We had one in our front yard at the last place we lived. I miss it ;_; But I don't miss our neighbors. I've never been able to smell them though.
Thanks for the tour! Good choice of music for the background.
Nice little retreat there. May be a little too close to reality with those train tracks, but it would still work for me. Heck, if a Starbucks within walking distance from my apartment would help to SOME degree, I can only try to imagine what a historic looking garden on the other side of the world could do for me!
I imagine so. I also imagine that if I'm easily intoxicated by thoughts of an Australian year from clear up here, out there I'd probably not so much as do a doubletake at anything I wasn't supposed to see.
awesome footage but would be better if you had some sort of image stabilizer, hardware or software. check out iLife 09 for Mac OSX, it has some sweet features, but i take it your using windows =[
great video man. that is very cool out there in melburn. is there any velodromes out there for cycle racing. cause it is big over there. great video again
argh, when you're trying to watch a masterpiece of a video in HD ("Yeah aussie it's your video, cheers ^^") you're quite often waiting for it to load. grr. :D (written while waiting). Do you btw have an 'angry' video out about the HD dislikes?
those gardens are really pretty. I find jazz obnoxious as well and many ppl think I am crazy for it but I think that has to do with living near Chicago. I like the larger variety of videos you have been doing now they are great.
fucking jazz festivals. oh well, at least it was a nice house and garden/jungle paradise lol! but i'm surprised they let you take any footage of the house because not a lot of places would let you do that nowadays. still, very nice indeed....except for the fucking jazz festival.
Aw, I happen to like Jazz music ^.^ But now...i want one of those trees. Do you happen to know what the name of the tree is? And I agree with you about the pond...ugh! I had also been wondering how you were doing the camera deal when you were in front of it, but you unintentionally answered it when you got caught by the mirror. Nifty device!

okay you're right I'm in the frozen fucking northern hemisphere just had to walk through knee high snow to get home and your little neighborhood garden paradise makes me want to spray cfcs into the air until where I live is like australia and australia is like mercury. Only girlfriend says I can't.
Just a general question. Did you have to secure any special permissions to shoot (at least) the interior of the building? Lovely place, if I ever make it to Australia, I'll have to make a point to remember this.

He said 'Maybe you should have waited for me.'
Maybe?! I think 'definitely' is a better word.

from Mindy-My mom said these videos help stop her nightmares. She's been having them every night since the beginning of September.
Maybe if the haters watched more calm, peaceful videos like this they'd get a clue. Then again, they're probably too clueless.
My dad always used to say, 'He (or she) wouldn't feel a clue if it stuck 'em in the ass.'
That always made me laugh so hard.

This place reminds me of where I'm going for Thanksgiving.
My daughter and I were invited to her dad's friend's house-that's B.-who owns land and a home in Pennsylvania.
He bought several plots of land and is having it restored to how it looked in the 19th Century.
I can honestly admit to having no idea why he's doing this, but this video has inspired me to take a tour of the restored areas
