A journey of a thousand "li" (chinese mile ~= 500m) starts from a single step.
I was at the starting point too,
AlmightyStapleGun.
Pursue and practise all that you love, including magic, persistently and passionately. Develop new methods and ideas. You may never know ... 1 day, i may be learning from your videos too. : )
Start today, AlmightyStapleGun, make wonderful memories with your friends and ppl around you with laughter and courage - that's the real magic.
very well done, thanks for sharing the effect looks great and your step by step with a green cap really allows the viewer a chance to "SEE" what's going on, your french drop grab and miss direction is just wonderful because you have your fingers spread and that just adds more to the visual..
Chill it, Purple, i didn't get it for a long time either. Do it slowly in front of the mirror, mentally convince yourself that the object is in the other hand. Most importantly, relax and believe in yourself.
before i used to thik that when people do french drop it is soo obvious that the coin is in the left hand but the way he does it i really like it because he is not just using french drop he has added a another move to it. great job keep it up.
I did not started out with facileness, you have already understood the science of you, acquiring the art is just a matter of determination and passion. Have confidence that you can do it, confidence is part of the magic too - it changes you, and you use it divinely to inspire others - that's the real magic.
i know a good vanish and production you first take a coin and blow on it and it dissapears and you can show both hands and no sleeves or anything then when ever u want you can just blow on your hand and it appears
anyone knows how to do a complete vanish which looks like french drop? A guy did the FD first and taught us. He then did the same action again, but this time, the coin was not in either hand. He has no sleeves, watch, or front pocket. Wonder how to do this.
Hi httassadar, can you direct us to the source of demonstration. Misdirection may be hidden in any of the movements. It could be a ditch to clear himself of the item. The 1st move, the French drop, which he reveal could be itself a misdirection, causing us to form an expectation that he may do the same in the 2nd session, whereby he may have done the ditch between the 2 sessions.
I'm honored by ur complement.I really hope people can learn this to delight their friends n family. The true magic is to bring smiles to their faces. : )
I'm honored by ur complement.I really hope people can learn this to delight their friends n family. The true magic is to bring smiles to their faces. : )
As to respect my teacher,I'm only allowed to disclose the "French drop". I invented the "Hebrew Rise".
There'r many solutions for other sleights of hand.Keep learning, keep thinking of new ways to do things,n improve the quality of lives around us-in all aspects of life.
yes good french drop but this is beter done win standing up win the hand with the object is droped like normal to your side wile the object is still in your hand
u did ur trick really well u were very smooth with it :) its a nice trick thank you but it kind of obvious that u have in in the other hand im not saying its a bad trick tho
Thank you, j2thpic. It is my honor and privilege. If that tutorial gives you the ability to bring a smile on someone's face - that's the real magic. : )
I wouldn't say it's "constructive" with the negative connotations and insults, but that's certainly mature of you to respond so well.
As I've said in other videos, I really don't condone the public display of magic techniques, but I find it worse when arrogant laymen (and magicians) take such time to discourage people. Keep it up!
you are very right about the public display, and I hold that seriously. It is the very reason that I relented in revealing other more advanced techniques. Knowing the techniques is science, the prowess to come up with new ideas and masterfully acquire the deftness is true art. Only with the perfection of that art and science can we live up to the name of a magician.
The intention and philosophy is what differs some of us from merely entertainers - it brings out the wizards in us. My motivation in magic is to bring to many people around us - that anything is really possible, that things are not what it really seems to be. Impossibility is an illusion, and magic is to demonstrate this very fact.
May the brotherhood keep close together to warm this calling. : ) Thank you, my brother.
I see that we unfortunately have a different agenda. XD
I would venture to say a larger portion of us practice magic to amaze. We do it because people like to be amazed, whether they realize it or not. That's why revealing a trick is followed by "oh, I should have thought of that." It's generally disappointing. And usually laymen just forget it in a week.

it was kinda obvoius in the begining
hamoan66boi 2 years ago
yes, because it's an elementary move. It should be part of a routine, and it depends on when it is done too.

Thanks for putting this up!
Because a moron like me can`t learn without seeing it done.

We do share the same beauty of the art. : )
I really love their expressions on their face in their amazement and confusion.
It's also interesting to note that we begin to look at things differently after we learn to appreciate the art and science of magic.
