Dear Diary: Nobody Says "Bless You" Anymore. UGH.

3 people don't say bless you after a sneeze.

When I sneeze and nobody says "bless you", I end up with a bad day ahead of me. I always say "bless you" when someone around me sneezes, unless I know they are an atheist, so I don't offend him/her again, or if I'm angry at someone who sneezes around me. Anyways, you make a good point there ElfieKittyKat.

Then there are some of those guys with sneeze fetishes who don't have nasty allergies like I do. Some have only said to me "sneeze for me again" during a sneeze attack or after I've already sneezed 10 times in a row. I respond saying, "Yeah,yeah whatever." What has this world come to?

I always say "Bless you" when someone sneezes. When I sneeze and nobody says "Bless you", I get offended, because it hurts my feelings, and I end up having a bad day.

I'm with you on that. It's impolite when someone sneezes and nobody says "Bless you." These days, it's ghuzuntite(however you spell it).

I'm a multiple sneezer(4 or more at a time)and sneeze a lot.Sometimes people respond to my sneezes by saying God's name in vein in between or after my sneezing fits, which agitates me,especially if they talk that way around kids,when I'm the gal who feels like cursing during a sneezing fit(sometimes I do), like they've never heard someone sneeze like that before . I tell them, "watch your mouth!" or "what do you say when someone sneezes??!!" Thanks for your reply and God bless you.
