Scrooge and his "Decrease the Surplus Population" sentiments sound eerily similar to that of Ted Turner, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Prince Philip, Jane Goodall, Hitler, and many others. I wonder what Dickens would think of many of these people who are marketed as "heroes" today (of course not including Hitler).
