  • was bist du eigentlich für ein suchti xD

  • Took me 3 Years as a kid to not even complete it, I had almost all the levels done with all cages on every level and when the PS2 came out, it was never used again. I remember rushing home from school with my friend and sitting there for hours playing this game. If you played it as a kid, it seems to "stick" to you as you grow up. Brilliant gameplay by the way, I could never do this, not even now :P.

  • Rayman was a lot harder on PS1 then again I was 12 when I first played it.

  • Ubisoft definetely changed some things in the gba/ds version compared to ps1, ps1 was SOOOOOOOOO MUCH HARDER

  • omg ur good

  • this game is so frikin hard on the PS one. its almost impossible and im 13 years and i just got it on the ps3, same thing pretty much, i had it on both systems. btw great game.

  • this has brought back so many good memories best game when i was a kid thanks :')

  • ?

    wtf

  • the ps1 version was the best

  • read the title dumbass

  • wat is the name of the game

  • @loai4 Rayman Advance

  • this was my first ever game! hmm i always wanted a go at the ps1 version which i s a bit different...

  • It's alot harder on plug in tv consoles.

  • nice man

  • i think ps1 version was better. the music wasnt as bland as this

  • cool game.

  • WHATS THE FIRST SONG CALLED AT 0:06?

  • wtf is this gba version? It's just like ps1.

  • wow the gba version is weak

  • 0:52 is way harder on Ps1.

All of the things where you have to jump on are very long.

On ps 1 they get shorter and shorter...

    I just noticed that.

    Nice speedrun btw

  • yea i had alot of trouble on that part when i the first time i played this game on the playstation the horns also blow you alot faster

  • @FinalFantasyGirl3 it was a bitch wasn't it :P

  • @tor4g yeah!! XDDD

  • @FinalFantasyGirl3 also PC.

  • In my last comment I meant to say that the uploader stopped adding more videos of this after parts 3 & 4. I don't know why the hell that wasn't obvious.

  • mint301 wrote: "..will be uploading more soon...''

    Liar

  • ahem, theres a part 3 and 4!

  • Rayman used to be on an NES game!

  • prove that

  • it started on ps1. wikipedia is your friend

  • No, it was originaly released on Jaguar Atari. Since Jaguar Atari didn't ever become a popular platform they decided to release Rayman also on Playstation and Sega Saturn.

I was lucky to own my own Jaguar back in time and I think I still have it. This gives me some nice memories.

  • wrong, it started on atari jaguar, and was later ported to the ps1 sega saturn and PC.

  • wow this game is so much easier compared to teh ps1 version

  • this brings back memories of the old game on the ps1

i remebered everythin as soon as i saw band land

  • your sliding with lots of speed nice!

  • my fav level is the frist part of this =] all the sliding :D

  • I love the soundtracks of this game T.T

  • quepato ese juego

  • I would have to say this is the worst thing they could have ever done to one of the greatest games ever. I used to love Nintendo...

  • My thoughts on Rayman Advance:

GRAPHICS: Gob-smackingly gorgeous for GBA, but the draw distance can be a problem at times.

SOUND/MUSIC: It all really depends on what music you're listening to here, but everything is mostly faithful to the original PS1 game.

GAMEPLAY: Still as fun as it was on PS1, but apart from finding all the cages, there's not much to keep you coming back after you beat it.

VERDICT: A cracking GBA platformer, and one of the best GBA re-releases.

    SCORE: 8/10

  • i say this about the GBA version

Graphic/Camera: very beutiful yo a GBA but kinda horrible sometimes. Camera setted to close

Sound/Music: to much of the same music that people wans to turn the music off.

Gameplay: funny from the start but after ward you want to turn it. The ps1 version is a little funnyer

    Controll: Solid don't feel bad

Score: 6/10 (Buy the ps1 version in PS Store on ps3)

  • Sound is bad.

Level length is perfect for portables.

    Levels are varied and interesting.

    Not enough boss battles.

Only a few alternative gameplay modes (flying, etc)

Too short yet good replay value.

Its an average platformer for the psx and a pretty decent one for the GBA.

  • i play this(the psx/ps1 version on the psp)NOW THATS A PORTABLE GAME!but i have to admit for the old gba this is very good

  • lol good one lol lt me guess done by hyper cam lol but still very good i remember playing

that when i think i was 7 or 10 lol

  • who is the photographer,KayumiNanahara043?

  • whats the deal with the helicopter.. ur supposed to get it later in the game right???

  • The helicopter hair is mostly used to safely float down, allowing you to make more accurate jumps. It is also used to progress in the mountain level in which you have to fly through the level after Betilla gives you a temporary ability to fly for an unlimited time.

  • i know what the helicopter does m8 xD I'm just finding it pretty weird that hes already using the helicopter at the Band Land stages? =S

  • i make this video

  • Hey mint301, why don't you get your picture taken? x] i know who the photographer actually is by the way xD

  • erm...what?

  • You're saying...wait w-w-wait...You're saying that you don't know who/where the photographer in this game is? mate, you passed him like a million times, you didn't know there was a photographer in the game?? hang on....in this video, yeah? you come across him at 01:11, watch it for yourself, you can get your picture taken xD

  • how, now i know what you are talking about, i dont do it because it takes some time and its a speedrun, also i dont expect to die so its pointless

  • I know, i'm just saying you can get it taken x] it's all fun

  • yer but isnt editing out the fairy that gives u power ups cheatin for the speed run

  • He's talking about the photographer who takes your picture, acting as a checkpoint. Also, it's a shame that you didn't the cages. Are you just going to let the little pink guys die?! XD

  • @KayumiNanahara043 Who is the fotographer? O,O

  • My sister was really good at this. She was fricking fast and she got all the pearls!

  • Got all the TINGS!

  • this game seemed harder when i was you. lol, and umm it seemed longer.. HA! this ss? (single segment?)

  • i love this game

  • I hate this version. The draw distance is poor and the sound is beyond awful.

  • Hey, some of us like it.

  • man i think it'll be hard to beat ur speed. I think not being afraid of getting ur health damaged shows how well you know about getting through the level. The first Rayman is such a classic, masterfully done in so many ways. I played it on the PC. Rayman 2 was still really awsome. But I think most of the games after that look pretty bad, although I never played them.

  • is this on gameboy?

  • yes

  • The level shown first is one of my favorites. I time myself to see how fast I get get to the end.

  • can you beat me?

  • this game boy game version sucks but i like the ps1 version

  • i have uploaded a part 4 and will be uploading more soon so subscribe for future videos.

  • I remember not being able to beat the first level in the swamp of forgetfullness, it was hard back then, but I could probably do it now, if I knew where this game was.

  • hahaha

i was holding my breath .. how in the world did you make it till the end? haha

i love this game though :]

i use to play it all the time when i was a child.. this and mario :D

  • me too i loved this game when i was young and i still do

  • if you think band land is

hard here try the playstation 1 version one word

    aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh

  • lol i agree

  • Your game playing is great and everything

    but...

    Y don't U help thoese little guys?

  • it wastes time and its a speed run

  • Ok then

  • the gba bgm hurts my ears

  • the music for the Swamp of Sorrows in this version is upsetting ... its not as dark as its supposed to be :S

  • i think thats because on the origonal gba there was no light and its have to see dark places on it.

  • no i meen the music on that level wasnt as "dark" as the music on the PS1 version :P

  • WTF How did you get the helicopter so early? Cheater!

  • watch part 1 and 2. i have uploaded a part 4 and will be uploading more soon so subscribe for future videos.

  • there is jump in the 1st lvl that is hard.!!!!

  • In myopinion Band Land is the hardest, I stopped playing on Bongo Hills and it was years later when I got to blue moutain.

  • Band land is a solid area in rayman

  • i have uploaded a part 4 and will be uploading more soon so subscribe for future videos.

  • Love the music in 'Band Land'.

  • Man..I did not like the music in Rayman Advance...U_U

    WAY better on the PC.

    Nice speedrun. =3
