I am crying as I type this!My best friend is suffering from Alzheimers and I live 90 miles from him and his brothher had to shut all utilities off and I work and will visit im on Good Friday!

My mom was diagnosed yesterday with this disease, she is 59 and i'm 18, maybe you guys can understand how painful and difficult it is for me, i would like if you contact me just to get some information. I love my mom, and i'm willing to do anything for her but i just keep thinking how unfair this is and although i could see it coming the news shocked me. i'm going to the doctor's appointment today and she isn't coming because the doctor says is better this way... thank you

Hello, Im sorry about your mother. I am 16 and I live with my Grandmother that has it, she was like a mother to me my whole life, so I know, Im not going to lie, it is really REALLY hard, and it only gets worse, this can't get any better. however there is ways to make it better to be around. There will be times when your mother gets moody and all you can do is agree with her and tell her what she wants to hear, But you should know this dosn't mean shes going to die. It can last up to 20 years.

hi, analisow, your mom problem has just started, you can make the process slower, or rather stop it. immediatly you should start with the DICLOPHENAC TELL TO YOUR DOCTOR , this medicine is not for alzheimer, it is anti infection drug used for rheumatic pains, you will see she will get better bcs she is not so old yet.

Just remember, your mom needs your help, spend time with her, put a smile on her face, live it like it's the last day of your life with her.

If not, you may keep some bad thoughts in your mind till the end of your life.

I'm not telling you to be her dad, just telling you to keep attencion on her, check if she's hungry, kiss her goodnight, do her breakfast, take her outside, the zoo, cinema's, and try to push her mind, ask her what happend in the last day, that will be good for her.

Padude64 all you can do is be there to support your friend. My grampa just died of Alzheimers and it hurts to see him go, but

he wont suffer anymore. In his advance stage of Alzheimers he wasn't able to take

care of himself, and was like that for a year, or more. May he rest in peace. He died 4/24/2008.
