Actually Steppin came 90yrs before Swing.  As a matter of fact in was introduced to White people by a White guy in Blackface named John Diamond who used it and Riverdancing (Jig) to challenge other entertainers. 3yrs later PT Barnum found a young brotha in New York's 5 points who created "tap" dancing and with African steppin. His name was William Henry Lane aka Master Boz or Juba.

GO Norma Miller! - no harm intended to the people who work so hard to perform in the modern Lindy Hop contest posted on YT but they don't come close to the passionate and professional Whitey Lindy Hoppers - not close.
