  • Hello again, MzeroA, You are correct and I stand corrected. Thanks for making me stop and think a little more about heading, wind direction and runway orientation. Listening to ATIS with the wind 290@20, I would have set up for takeoff and landing on rwt 27 expecting a crosswind from the right.

    Jeesh, I can't believe I made such a simple mistake.

  • Hi MzeroA, If you're on final for rwy 27 and the wind is 290 @20 you will be landing with a tail wind. Still a 7kt crosswind component. Am I correct or did I miss something? Thanks, A 200 hr perpetual student pilot.

  • @ornottoobless Hello There, Yes you are right abt the 7kts Crosswind.. But if you are Landing on 270 and the wind is blowing from 290 .. you will be having a Head wind of abt 18 Kts... Not Tailwind ... Correct me If i am Wrong...
