"Intercepted. I can't believe what I'm seeing right now". Give us a break. You are a student of football; you KNOW Favre does this shit. You used to be able to set the calendar by it. And by his retirement announcements. And his un-retirement announcements.....
Not gonna lie, but this play just sucks for all Vikings fans. the 2009 season was our year. We were one play away from OT or the playoffs. Instead you have Mr. Favre over here playing hero, which leads to an interception and BOOM! we end up at the bottom of the division in 2010.
@superstar627154 So what was worse once again putting all your hope in a old bastard to only watch him throw it all away, or watch the Pack win it all the very next year?
I love the announcers "you got to be f****** kidding me" tone... truly emphasizes just how stupid of a throw that really was. I'm not a Vikings fan and I can't imagine the level of frustration that must've hit.
@CrysisXiX Packers fans don't hate Favre. They hate the crap he pulled the last 4 or 5 years he was in Green Bay. Every year he talked about retirement in those years. Ted Thompson had to get a new QB in the draft. It was apparent Bretts days were numbered. He spent 16 years in Green Bay. Most QB's don't last that long. He only had a couple years left in him. The Packers had to start looking to the future. That's football.
Favre did this for years for Green Bay. We'd get in the playoffs and just need one last drive. This is what Favre would do. He threw ill-advised throws that killed the game against the Falcons, Rams, Giants, Eagles, and Vikings in the playoffs. Why do you think the Packers weren't devastated by his departure?
@jstafford81 I don't deny that he did some great things for us. But his selfish attitude wore thin. Since 2002 he has put us on this "Will I retire" fiasco. He has acted like we owe him. But we don't owe him anything. If Favre had never been picked up by Green Bay, he would never have been this successful. The Packer fans were very patient with him in his early years. Need I remind you that he was a third-stringer in Atlanta when we picked him up.
Reggie White and the league's best defense, with the help of the leftover Buffalo Bills brought Favre his one ring. Desmond Howard made sure not even Favre could throw the game away.
He's got the same amount of rings as Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson. And I'd be willing to say that Green Bay would probably have won another Super Bowl if either of those RESPONSIBLE QBs was leading GB throughout the late 90's
@MAXIMONT People forget that the Packers had Mark Burnell as a back up in '93 and '94. Holmgren was so livid at Favre half way thru '94 that he almost benched him (the majority of offensive coaching staff voted to bench him). Holmgren stuck with Favre and Brunell was traded to the Jaguars. Brunell proceeded to get to two pro-bowls, going 45-19 from '96-'99 and took the Jags to TWO AFC championship games. One can only wonder what Brunell could have done with the '94-'98 Packers. At LEAST one SB.
@toolkien Man, I never knew that. I've sometimes wondered if after the 1998 playoff loss to the Niners that Holmgren finally decided he'd had enough of the Packers and that was why he went to Seattle.
Thank you and Really Great footage. Come see our recent film of this diamond shaped space ship (UFO) which looks like the great pyramids. It was seen over New York last week. We have it on video. We also have the making of the latest Madden 11 commercial.
@Fanthiel Paul Allen is the biggest homer of a radio announcer you will ever hear. He gets so pissed off and so depressed if the Vikings don't win. Thumbs up because you hit it out of the park.
@Fanthiel leme guess jealous packer fan whos upset favre came to us because he wanted to win and he proved hes better off with us then the pack? am i in the ballpark?
LOL, it was worth the two losses from favre in the end to see him show his true nature in the end. I don't thnk favre is gonna have nearly the season he had last year, the NFC north has gotten much better across the board
I'm a Saints fan but I feel bad for Farve. He grew up a Saints fan and he's a great FootBall player. I'm cheering for the Vikings next year (unless they're playing the Saints), but every other game I hope they win.
idont feel bad for him at all...the dude has everything money, fame and he can do anything he wants to do in MN they will wait for him all day all night. this is typical brett when he's great he's great but when he's not it's just to bad that's part of the game. he messed up on his own, would be diff if adrian fumbled the last play to prevent brett from going to the superbowl cause he can't control that but when he makes his own mistakes thats to bad.
If being in the final four teams and losing in the conference championship is ruining a season, then WTF do you call your packers season? Utter failure? =P Of course, you'd have come into the playoffs at a much higher seed if the purple and gold hadn't handed your asses to you twice, maybe then you could have skipped the wildcard round altogether, like the real playoff teams did.
@tech99070 Skip the wildcard round like real playoff teams??? So what does that make the Viqueen pussies??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! It's so awesome to see favre piss it away again! You're in for a long year! GO PACKERS!!!
@TheFishman17 The Vikings had a first round bye. You know, the round the packers failed to advance out of.
And like I said, at least our quarterback threw the interception, unlike some quarterbacks who seem to like to try out at punter and kick the ball away.
I love the Packers fans ripping on Favre for throwing a season-ending superbowl in the NFC Championship.
At least he didn't kick a season ending fumble 2 rounds earlier, like some other team's quarterback.
Ooh, sorry, were you trying to repress that memory?
And I mean come on. Aaron Rodgers, Kurt Warner, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning all ended their '10 season with a turnover, but this is the one everyone remembers....
Rodgers was sacked - his only choice was to react and try to hang onto the ball. Favre on the other hand had 6 different options available. He CHOOSE the worst one - throw across his body to a covered receiver. No - don't run it for 5 yards, ruin your teams season and bring joy to Packer Nation. Thanks for the memories Brent!!
You can just feel the anger in the voice of the Vikings commentator. What a stupid throw.
But hey, Ol Brett cost the Packers many times in the playoffs with dumb throws like that. Now Vikings fans know how the Pack fans feel. This is why Brett only has One Ring.
He's the NFL Leader in All Time TD's, but he also the all time leader in Picks.
@2redaces no they changed the overtime format because it was gay and wasnt accurate at all. i think they need to change the fact that there are ties allowed as well. its dumb overtime should be timed like an extra quarter and have bouble overtime if neccessary
wow we still have stupid coaches Here. If they Tried Da Fg Den They probably wouldve gotten it and won it. But Wow They Need TO Know When TO TAKE RISK!
I Woulde Love To Slap Favre And Da Coaches With Ma Dick
@MrSlik25 Brett Favre didn't win the SuperBowl MVP, Desmond Howard did. Brett should have 2 rings, not 1. He failed in S.B. XXXII against denver with his 2 Turnovers costing packers 10 points and bad accuracy in the 4th quarter which denver won.
Stats, yeah sure but those are in the regular season, what has Brett Favre done in the Playoffs when it Counts since 1998?
A CHOKER, the Biggest Choke Artist I've ever seen.
No other QB has thrown more Dumb Bone Head Season Ending Interceptions but BF
@gfscarface13 Ok well Peyton Manning is high up there on the choke list as well...Lost alot of big games that he should have won too...Crucial interception in the Superbowl against the Saints that lost them the game...and What about all the Superbowls Elway lost??? Did he choke 3 times?...Did his teams get their asses beat?...Yes...Did Tom Brady go 18-0 and then choke in the Superbowl??...Did Jim Kelly choke 4 times in a row?...Did Marino choke in the Superbowl?...I mean come on now.
LMFAO I love this. He is so desperate to get another Super Bowl ring, no one bothers to notice his passing is not as great as it was in the 90's when he beat my Niners every year in the playoffs.
Stop looking at statistics, and start comparing footage of him in the 90's and then this year. He used to be a runner too, but what he did this year, was just force the ball aroud, like that exact play. That reciever was DOUBLE COVERED, he was asking for it to be picked off.
He won't get another SuperBowl ring either, everything you just said is completely correct.
All year long, he keyed on his recievers like Sidney Rice, wen you key on one rwo recivers, the defense is going to start covering those guys.
He should just give it up, he's already got a SuperBowl ring he's forgotten about, he's broke just about every record including most TD passes, yet he STILL goes on and on and on with playing.
Stop Hating on Favre!! He made his point and came back and had a great year!! He proved ALL his critics wrong and relived the glory of the 2007 NFC Championship game INT almost exactly. He showed all you he has more season ending INTs in him and he is not done.
Hey, Detroiter here.....not only do I not have a problem with what he said, I applaud it! lol THIS IS NOT DETROIT!!! you're right....if it were, you wouldn't have been in a do-or-die situation
Depressed again also...jesus Brett WTF were you thinking. Now we're begging you to come back, but not for that. I'd rather dump in the first round that have you choke us again.
Laughing their butts off huh? Some fans wanted to see him do well. Favre wasn't the only one who had turnovers. The first one should of been called back because of the low hit and maybe if that would of happened it wouldnt have came down to favre trying to win the game. Favre didn't cost them a shot at winning, Petersons fumble inside the goal line which resulted in no points and Harvins fumble let the saints take the lead. Beside the Vikes lost in ot not on the interception like in 07.
By the way, how did the Pack do against #4 last season? Yep, that's right, the old man kicked their asses - TWICE! True Vikings fans were laughing their butts off!
@FastEddie95 LMAO! And that is the ONLY thing you Viqueens have to hang your hat on! So sad that your whole season comes down to whether you beat the big bad pack or not! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
for all the douchebags who rag on brett favre for that look at peyton manning he cost the colts the super bowl and atleast favre interception wasnt return for a td the reason they lost was cause of the refs
@Mr92094 i swear damn near EVERYONE was saying favres gonna throw a costly pick and when it happened NO ONE COULD BELIEVE IT cause we all read him like a BOOK!!!
Actually the entire country knows that they the Saints backed in because of poor officiating. Biggest fraud in Superbowl history. Not much to hang your hat on. Still the Aints as in Aint Legitimate. Guess you'll take it however you can but don't expect the rest of the country to be happy for a team that couldn't win on their own merit.
Don't forget to include all of his interceptions and playoff games he's blown and all the hard work of his teammates that he's thrown away by wanting to be the big shot.
@kingstewy09 No, because you can look at it in two contexts. Currently Aaron Rodgers is a better QB in the NFL statistical wise. As a better QB overall over the course of all of Favre's seasons, it's obviously Favre.
It's such a classic already. You can just feel the disbelief and anger in their voices.
The irony of sports following your team all year feeling like this might be the year then in one pass it's all gone. It must suck being a vikings fan 11 yrs. after atlanta now this. Well you still got the timberwolves..... Ouch!
@omniquiti hahahhahah lmao this was friggin hilarious...we watched this in class and it took 15 minutes for people to shut up. it was on loop the whole time
I agree gfscarsface 13. At the beginning of the season, I told my roommate, "He'll fuck it up towards the end of the season trying to play hero...". Exactly what he did, too. As much as I hate the egotistical douchebag for being a traitor, even I must still respect him for the things he's accomplished on the field. I'd like to see a china Doll like Phylis Rivers take not one but two brutal sacks and come back for more punishment. Wouldn't happen with 95% of the QBs in the league.
"This is not Detroit man, this is the Superbowl." Well put! The Vikings have no business winning the Super Bowl. They are the butt of all NFL jokes. I mean, come on! Who wears purple in a man's game.
Ask these faggots out here in Sandy Eggo. :-D The Chargeless not only wear powder blue pastel and have a fruity disco song, they're the ViQueens of the AFC....LULZ!
Hey nelsoc2, we're talking about favre here. He's made the same dumbass plays when he was with the Packers. I'm just glad some other team is plagued with him now.
i think they were angry that they had a chance but its not like nothing couldve been done. 12 men in the huddle and a pass play called by the OC.....and that awkward overtime...
This didnt even seem to be real. I have never in my life watched a game with that many fumbles, interceptions and almost interceptions... will NEVER happen again to any team in the playoffs, that was just unreal
"Intercepted. I can't believe what I'm seeing right now". Give us a break. You are a student of football; you KNOW Favre does this shit. You used to be able to set the calendar by it. And by his retirement announcements. And his un-retirement announcements.....

The Football god were pissed at him for leaving and coming back over and over, and then going to the Viqueens just to piss off his old team.
TheGreatGreenBayG 2 years ago 2
LMFAO I love this. He is so desperate to get another Super Bowl ring, no one bothers to notice his passing is not as great as it was in the 90's when he beat my Niners every year in the playoffs.
Stop looking at statistics, and start comparing footage of him in the 90's and then this year. He used to be a runner too, but what he did this year, was just force the ball aroud, like that exact play. That reciever was DOUBLE COVERED, he was asking for it to be picked off.
49ers4life168 2 years ago 4

True Green Bay fans must have been laughing their butt off. Rock on Saints and GB fans!
shane802 2 years ago 2

@wowcrendor Brett Favre - 289 career games played...... 497 career touchdown passes......69,329 passing yards.... 3 mvp awards
Aaron Rodgers - 39 career games played...... 59 career touchdown passes..... 8,801 passing yards.... 0 mvp awards
you might be getting a little ahead of yourself by saying rodgers is better

kingstewy09 1 year ago
@kingstewy09 No, because you can look at it in two contexts. Currently Aaron Rodgers is a better QB in the NFL statistical wise. As a better QB overall over the course of all of Favre's seasons, it's obviously Favre.

It's such a classic already. You can just feel the disbelief and anger in their voices.
The irony of sports following your team all year feeling like this might be the year then in one pass it's all gone. It must suck being a vikings fan 11 yrs. after atlanta now this. Well you still got the timberwolves..... Ouch!
