  • U shouldn't bath ur dog often becouse it's bad for the skin!

  • All that I use is an undercoat rake, and it is the best grooming tool that I have bought.

  • @Chdant11 a golden retriever is to be bathed every 1-12 weeks.

  • I hope you're joking xD

  • Perfect, thank you! (:

  • wow your cute

  • My dog is afraid of a slight wind, but since I've taught....I mean spoiled her with too many toys, I just tell her that the nail clippers and bathing supplies are toys and I let her smell and lick them or whatever she needs to do to christen it as a toy. Was able to use a hairdryer once...just shut the bathroom door and work as quickly as possible!

  • beautyful :)

    zapraszam również na goldenki.eu

  • I thought this dog was a Bichon Freeze?

  • is that an golden retriever? he is soo red!

  • @zipfelfrosch The American Kennel Club allows gold & red, and the Kennel Club (UK) allows cream & gold.

  • @xmagiegirlx thank you. I did'nt know. Here in Germany I have'nt seen such a color before

  • Hi sammy you have any std's?

  • Ruby is so adorable!

  • Don't use a 40 on the pads... 10 or a 15 is allot safer u can easily nick a pad with a 40 and trust me nicking the pad is usually a bloody mess

  • @Chdant11 Agreed. Especially if you don't want their skin to dry out and their coat to be dull.

  • @eyeslikethesky5391 I agree, I would never use a furminator to get out mats. Fortunately, my dog never gets matted because I brush her regularly. =) And I've seen that dryer you're talking about, it would scare the crap out of my dog, she doesn't even like the vacuum cleaner! LOL

  • That was a well behaved dog. When I groomed my grandads goldern retriever it tried to sit on me.

  • I wish she could groom me too after I take a bath. :)

  • Every week? That's crazy! They have sensitive skin and an oily waterproof coating on their fur. I bathe my Golden every few months unless she gets into something and she never stinks. I don't even need to blow dry her, she air dries very quickly. The Furminator works wayy better than the brush used in this video!

  • My dad said that I can own a Golden Retriever as soon as we get an Apartment Backyard or a house! I WANT IT TO HAPPEN RIGHT NOW!!!! But I need to have patience, right guys?

  • i want a golden retriever but icant beacause my parents dont want to buy it for me.... :( please help to bought me a golden retriver puppy for gift. the gift is for me. i live in indonesia, south jakarta, pondok labu. thanks!!!

  • The best dog comb on the market is the furminator,we brush our golden with one and its so effective!its a pricey brush but it's worth it

  • My dog was very skittish throughout theh process but, overall i think he handled it ok, i think he will get more comfterable with it next time. I used my Human Clippers, made by Wahl, i used a # 8 Guard which is a 1 inch cut. Looks Great and I know he must feel alot better. I just got my mom to hold his rear and i held him also while trimming. Good luck!

  • She's hot!

  • my golden doesn't let anyone groom him! what can be done? :(

  • @saletious the word is offence not offense, spelt not spelled,, you're not your'e ;) sorry couldn't resist

  • HAHAHAHA at 0:14 the dog farts.

  • ruby is so cute!!! :)

  • @iaawbiltwsc True, but Sammy is cuter!

  • She did't open pad and cliped...

Japanese style is always open pad,

and clip all between pad hair.

    Is this another system....?

  • @bigbird584 Sometimes when you clip (too close) in between the paw pads, the stubble can rub and irritate the skin, causing the dog to lick at their feet all day. Unless you have a show dog, I suggest just trimming the fur that covers the pads. You have to trim it more often, but reduces the risk of irritating their feet. :)

  • @Srizni

Yes, I know. They don't like(depend on dogs) to touch pad.

But, this target are "Stop to slide in a room for the accident" & "To keep clean inside of foot skin ".

they can be catch "athlete's foot"

If don't clip well, really fast hair will be growing up.

so, even they are angry, we are clip it.

    sometimes using a "muzzle".

Maybe, this is Japanese or my school way.

I learnd & tauch at Dog Triminng school in Japan.

  • I dont know about ya but I think she was doing a pretty good job. I mean if you're golden isnt groomed properly like for instance the toe nail trimming and trimming his paw hair then it can lead to paw pain when the dog is walking. Its like a little kid, They hate going to the doctors but in the end they have to cause its best for them.

  • good point sgtmelisa

  • I beg to differ. Not all Goldens are used as gun dogs. In fact, most Goldens are just family pets, which I'm sure the Golden in this video is. Lots of Golden owners, myself included, hate the "slipper feet" that they get and prefer neatly trimmed paws. I shave the bottom of my Golden's feet as soon as it starts getting too long.

  • @jwemt81 True that most Golden Retrievers are not used as gun dogs. An interesting development is that due to their high intelligence and their ease of training they have morphed into an excellent working breed and are used as guide dogs for blind people, as rescue dogs and as drug sniffers for the police and military. My own GR is simply by best friend and companion and that's enough for me.
