hey i noticed he said he plays the lobs in a similar way... i do the entire opposite!

I am like diagonal to the ball ... my feet are closer to each other and all the weight is on my right leg ( i'm right handed).... i grab the club a little short and swing!

What if you golf at courses that arent kept up by the greens keepers and the sand is either not raked and gravel like or also what if the sand is really wet. Ive had recent troubles with both. Out of GOOD sand I have no problems. Anyone?

@theciskokidd thats what i hate about Moody Gardens, the sand on the practice are is damp. it feels like 80 degrees at the end of 2011 but the bunkers wet and i cant practice my new wedge right

Played a round of golf today and hit 2 bunkers. Used Phils tips on this video and was inches from the pin. Straight out of the bunker 1st time and next to the pin. I always shit my pants playing the bunker shot, but now i cant wait for the next one lol :)

It is a nice written book and a very good reference golf manual to try to learn the game better. Thanks Phil for that!

I also ordered a DVD of Tom Watson "Lessons of a lifetime". That is a great DVD kit (2 DVD- one swing, 2nd short games = very good for a medium golfer like me). Phil & Tom = two great golfers and nice guys.

Too many people try to teach a shot without being thorough and showing the viewers the actual result of the swing; often keeping the camera on them so that we must assume all went well. I know sometimes its only one person with one camera, but one must take into account that we want to see if you're actually doing what ur preaching. Phil does an excellent job in showing me precisely what he's trying to portray. Great lesson, great player, awesome person.

@bluetiege Hinge and Hold technique is what he describes the swing for short shots. Hinge on the backswing and on the downswing you drop the clubhead behind the ball and hold it through the follow through.

i just bought his book the other day, originally i thought it wouldnt be as effective as the videos but he explains everything so well and it is very easy to take in the information. its an awesome book , i would recommend it to anyone =)

These really are great bunker tips.. I saw the video,then the next day I was in a bunker very similar, high lip and all.. played my shot and rolled it to about 3 ft fromt the cup. Don't get too caught up in these guy's personal life... just get the tips and learn from them. thanks for uploading !!

ha lol im a tiger fan. phil is tigers rival. im a bengals fan so phils like big ben if u know wat i mean. i learned a lot from him with this vid and others so i dont hate him, i hated wat he did at the masters though... with his 3rd rd eagles (2) he took a commanding lead at this yrs masters. if tiger didnt 3 short putt that one hole they would of tied, then if would be like a super bowl match up in the playoff holes, lol for how long those would go.

so phils not so hated, good teacher :) i like tiger and Phil cuz they r great golfers, and good teachers too, I looked up tiger lessons 2. lol tiger this yr has been the worst cuz of his putting, he sucks at that. :/ I guess we will have to see at the PGA championship. Hope he practices a lot of putting.
