  • So scientific and complicated

  • As far as I am aware CJD is the only disease that has a higher mortality than rabies.

  • @valarmanwe bc there is little research done on prions

  • ZOmBiezzz A RE R3alLLLLLLLlll

  • LOL @ the hidden blade sound from assassins creed!!!

  • Comment removed

  • fuck infectious prions.....there's no possible treatment but destruction through burning....

  • @zz898zzz2 ............only as long as you heat it well above 600 degrees.

  • @Bumblybee256

Yeah...........it's so impractical to get rid of them. Cause they are basically protein.

  • @zz898zzz2 Since you made the comment, scientists discovered something in February that might eventually work: Lichen! Hard to believe, huh? :) You should check out the study, it's pretty fascinating.

  • Why am i watching this?

  • @RYAN57HEINZ

You're watching this because knowledge/education rocks.

  • IN NEED MOAR BRAINZ

  • cow 1:are u afraid of the mad cow disease? i am

    cow 2:nope. im horse

  • for people who don't kno plaque slows down the thinking process....

slowed down thinking= crazyness...... = mad cow disease

the disease is literally where the brain doesn't work anymore

  • what BCS?

  • wtf i didnt get a word of that

  • mad cow = mad people = zombies

  • duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh what the fuck.....you're right though

  • @Seas00Gurl Except that you lose the ability to move... and the disease is aquired through eating meat, not being eaten...

  • @Oddity3000 i keep thinking though if humans get all of these diseases they would make zombies

  • @Oddity3000 Not just eating meat. I read in the Zombie Survival Guide that there's a plant virus the cows eat. So it can be meat or veg.

  • You have misunderstand. Prion disease can not be trasmitted from plants. However, since misfolded prions can survive in soil, after lets say a dead animal carcus, any plants grown in that soil must be completely cleaned before eating, or totally avoided. It is not the plant itself, but the remnants of the prions from the dead carcus that taint the soil and outer covering of the plant. So again, its not the plant, its the denatured prion in the environment that ceases to "die," for lack of term.

  • Understandable...Prion disease? What's that?

  • diezelish: Are u asking a serious question? Misfolded prions cause death. 1 prion changes native conformation, becomes infectious, causing a domino effect, causing normally folded prions to take on a new incorrect conformation, usually leading to amyloid deposits on the brain, and eventually death. There is no cure, even the greats like Dr. Stanley Prusiner don't know exactly what the mechanism of action is. Prusiner won a noble prise, he studyed the brain of a UCLA patient, and discovered prion

  • xamanda18xs...O ok, I clearly understand now. Thanx...never heard of "Prion disease".

  • @domsantiagogow Sounds correct to me.

  • @domsantiagogow

I can actually understand how prions might create somewhat of a zombie, if the prion shut down higher brain functions. But the zombies would die after a few weeks if not days. all prions are fatal

  • @domsantiagogow people don't get mad cow disease. they get vCJD

  • @domsantiagogow thats the reason i searched mad cow lol xD

  • @domsantiagogow it did happen in a zombie game (download) called dead island.
