If you read the Bill, Health Canada would not even have to step into a courtroom if they wanted to seize you, your family, your home, your business. A very important bill; the use of supplements by informed citizens can save millions, if not billions, of health care dollars. Safeguarding our right to purchase them is an absolute necessity.
Things change. Laws change. People's safety comes first. The law needs to be changed to provide some form of control over this extremely labile field of "natural products". There is very little, if any, scientific proof behind these products and they can be sold with little legislation to uneducated (on the matter) lay people, playing on their desires to find a cure/help for an ailment they may have that is not curable with regular drug therapy. It's time for change...
Nobody can hold a copy of the Canadian Constitution in their hand. There is no rule of law in Canada, that is no objective law. The rule of men is always arbitrary and subject to their whim of the day and a stroke of their pen. Canada has no galvanized protection of property rights anywhere in their volumous amounts of legislations and acts. When Senators are not elected directly by the people, they are not subject to the people. The word "appointed" is a killer for the rights of Canadians.

And when was the last time you ever heard of a mass recall of any health product? Or any mass illnesses or death because of one?
