  • senator Reid paying for this poetry with government money.

  • Wow. If this doesn't bring a tear to your eye, you're already dead inside.

  • Love this poem, could listen to it over and over and over - have your hankie handy!

  • Waddie is one of the finest poetry performers on this planet. It is great to have his work available on YouTube. May he keep at it for another few decades of cowboy poetry gatherings.

  • Absolutely fantastic... my past came to life in these words... God...

  • I listened to the Walking man a hundred times and it gets better and better, I actualy cried after listning to this, Waddie shure can get to your heart

  • I have always enjoyed Waddie's poetry. The first time I'd ever heard him I was living in Wyoming and working on the Paradise Ranch, north of Buffalo.

  • Thanks Waddie,

always makes me think of horses of the past.

  • Waddie can sure tell 'em... One of the best in the business The story reminds me of a "walking man" in my little town... See this feller was in a horrible car accident when he was a boy and his brother burned to death in the wreck. Unable to save his older brother, he walks everywhere and won't drive a car no more. Folks who don't know his story think he's a crazy fool clinging to his bottle now and then, but he's harmless and just has his mind all wrapped around that terrible mem'ry.

  • Great. Thanks.
