  • Nice job but the motor paint at part stores it chevy orange red is about the same color as stock just so you all know trying to pass it on Xr chumps

  • very nice!! my dad has one and the cdi went out :// it's really expensive to replace because that year was a specific part number :( so the bikes been sitting for like 2 years...

  • Hi man I have that same bike that im currently restoring. great job, that bike looks brand new. Did you have to order new plastic or are those the originals? I ask because my plastics are in rough shape but I dont have the budget for new ones. anyways great job on the bike you should be proud.

  • @x18superbike Hey Mate I used "plastic renew" basically used sandpaper starting from a 500 grit to very fine then used a polish. The engine i used heat proof paint then baked it. Thanks

  • @adamshondaxl350r1985 Yeah I have been riding it for a couple weeks, awesome for trails. And yeah I did adjust the valves in it, starts first kick everytime.

  • yeah my Uncle Greg has a Honda XR 75R he restored it. And i was wondering if the xr80 replaced it.i only have a honda xr 100 1996 model and a Kawasaki kxl 125.sadlly a long time ago the chain was loose and came and hit the oil box..

  • @Matthew27104 Yeah i have a '79 as well but its an XR80 i am hoping to restore it. I know the factory paint is tahitian red but thats about it. I shaved down the seat but still need it recovered and am hoping to weld mounts for single a single shock on the back eventually.

  • I customized my XR250 with super motard wheel's (small one on the front), new front with 2 halogen spotlights, led tail light, smaller front fender and double exaust pipes looks nicer but its completely useless if you offroad now

  • Cool, i got an 81 which I did the same. Bout 9 years ago now, still goes as hard as the first day i got it going again. its a beast of a thing. I like my new bike better though
