  • I didn't see the big deal until I thought wow kids are watching this big guy and are going to want to do that too, so mommy in me didn't like it, but then single types wouldn't care much as he was only putting himself in danger. I could go anyway on this video.

  • 3 minutes of my life wasted watching this video.

  • tut what a waste of time, as long as there is someone around incase someone jumped onto the control and decided to switch the ride back on i dont see a problem.

  • haters gonna hate.

  • wow.. i feel like some ones very protective mother made this video

  • he turned the ride off then got on it waiting for it to stop to get the people out

  • Woodpile doo. Big deal. Not!!!

  • Oh brother.

  • Question, is a dead man's pedal the same thing as a presence pedal? I'm not quite sure because I've never operated a flat ride.

  • I see them do this all the time. o-o and frankly.. I have no problem with it.

  • Umm, people are trained to be able to step on and off rides while they are still in motion. Anyone understand how a Waltzer works? Even on the teacups at work I jump on while it's still moving but slowing down, if its already slowing down, the emergency stop ain't gonna do nothing if there is an accident.

  • WOW you spent 2 minutes filming the ride operator then looked away when he actually did it.

  • 0.54 " IM gonna kick your ass uf your dont get on?" O.O

  • @xTierneyJ No, she said "I'm gonna go ask if you can get on."

  • depending on your laws in some states disabled people may not be allowed on your rides if their disability causes a safety issue. as for the guy leaving the control panel i agree it's something you probably shouldn't do. However the ride was coming to a stop and on a turntable ride such as a tip top there's not much an operator can do from the control panel if an accident happens. All that weight on 3-4 inch spindle is impossible to stop immediately without causing a bigger safety issue.

  • I'm tellin'. Weasel.

  • It's almost always disabled and retarded people who get hurt. If I ran rides I would'nt let retards on.

  • @johnlovesbridge if i ran rides I wouldn't let nasty people like you on.

  • what about lads on waltzers then they jump on and off all the time?

  • @steeles02041991 i no yeah, those guys are crazy but i dont like them cuz if they see ur scared they spin it a lot faster :L

  • JAMES GANG AMUSEMENT ALL THE WAY BITCHES!!!

  • I'm not mechanical and use more duct tape than a redneck serial killer. On a carnival ride though, that's outrageous.

  • if i had a dollar for every pixel this video has

    i would have a dollar

  • what a dumb ass

  • Go cry a river.

  • why the hell was he looking at the tree and the sky so damn much?

  • haha dont try this at home Youtubers

  • Take it easy - this is being done at alot of fairs? Don't you see the Breakdancers, where they stand on the main disc when it's in a nearly high speed? Or on the flic flacs, when they step ontp the gondolas, checking restrains while they gently around/up'n'down?

    This isn't a big deal...

  • how silly, did you report this man? If not can you still do so?

  • Ok someone tell me what happened. Ok so he left the control panel unatended and go on the ride when it was still going ? So it stoped...

  • @kelsey5689 he went up there while it was still spining he could have caused an accident thats why you dont do these things it aint a toy to mess with a slight error can cause a catastrophic event this one women ride operator put on a break way to early sent 3 riders to the front of a ride dangling one of them got hurt she was fired on the spot for not caring

  • the operator should just be whipped on his bare ass with one of the seat belts in the twirling cars. That'd teach him to jump on the still turning ride and showing off like that

  • i wonder why the guy was filming the guy in the first palce

  • That was soooo stupid of him to do that because he could have missed the platform and fall flat on the ground or the G-forces could have thrown him from the ride and got injured or killed.

  • wtf KEEP THE FUCKING CAMERA STILL!!!

  • what the fluck was the accident

  • shit you shoujd have been around in the 60s ! lol that was nothing.

  • WOW! That guy could have goten suriously ingured! What was he thinking?

  • wow omg they always do that

  • Damn, he is dumb.

  • lol!

  • they always do dat, its no big deal lol

  • When I worked at a major amusement park in Western Mass, the safety department would do unannounced audits of ride operators and when I worked with the ride ops, I knew they were being audited but I never alerted them because I would get fired. The auditors would hide behind a bush or behind a corner to avoid being noticed. There have been some ride accidents in Mass back in 2004 and that led to a crackdown on amusement ride safety here in the Commonwealth.

  • @carnivalwrkr2005 Was that Six Flags or Riverside? I live just down the road from them.

  • He Lost his Damn Mind We Would Get Fired At Worlds Of fun For doing Stuff like this!

  • If the ride operator thinks so little of his own personal safety, can you imagine what he thinks of other peoples' safety?

  • I edited the video info to better clarify and describe the video and I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

  • He doesn't look stoned, he looks BORED, and who can blame him.

The ride wasn't going that fast when he stepped on, certainly not as fast as a traditional Waltzer ride which has operators on the moving platform as a standard part of its operation.

There's a huge difference between a travelling carnie and a theme park employee. The theme park employee does not generally have to strip and rebuild entire rides on a regular basis. That makes the job much more suited to those of a delicate nature.

  • bad example right there....

  • Stupid stunt. Being a ride op is all about safety first for both the riders and the ops. Of course this guy is not following regs. The ride needs to come to a complete stop before the op can leave the control panel.

  • i am an ex ride op for a amusement park in ca WE WOULD BE FIRED for this type of stunt

  • i work at an amusement park and i train new employees how to operate rides and not leaving the controll panel until the ride is competely stopped is one of the things i tell them. u never know what might happen. some thing could go wrong and if the ride operator isnt at the controlls they cant stop the ride. what if a lab bar came loose what would he do. my bosses always tell us that you only have to pay attation and stay at the controlls for like 2 mins. i hope this was reported to the state

  • {Ops, sorry: "no metTer" kkkkk }

  • Yes... you have to pay attention in what you`re doing, no meter is, specially operating big machines. It`s a transport of lifes, so you have to take most car it`s needed, al right? To get people thrust to ride in parks with NO fear.

  • i he worked for me at my park, not only would he be fired, we have him arrested for endangerment of civilians

  • i work at an amusement park n were very awesome when it comes to trainning im a ride opperator myself n were always doin tranings we always make sure stupid stuff like this never happens n always make sure the guests are always safe n havin a good familey time:) and our rides are always inspected great everyday n our major roller coasters get inspected twice a day before we open for the day n in the middle of the day we close them down so they can be inspected again by our top maintnace guys

  • I work at a theme park. Im a rides operator. And a board operator should never leave the board at any time. Unless the power is off and you have the key. You must be in arm reach from the panel & e-stop. Also you should never be any where near the ride as it is in motion. He could have been injured or put others in danger. This should have been reported I hope. So that it wouldnt happen again.

  • i hope this got reported.

  • as a former ride operator I agree you should never leave the control panel untill the ride comes to a complete stop.

  • Same here. When I was a ride op, we had the dead man's pedal installed at every ride I worked on to prevent incidents like the one you saw in the video.

  • @twistedsouls2009 i agree ca;ifornia dosh would of had his head on a stick

  • that odd because we just had the tip top at lift off 2009

  • Y DU U KEEP LUUKIN UP
