  • A whole 75hp? LOL.

  • nice quad i like the orange frame

  • what was that frame from?

  • @hittintrees42 It was built from a 1996 350 Warrior.

  • @xscatolare awesome build dude. its cool seein unique ideas like that.

  • how could one get hold of such an engine? i've seen a picture of a twin rotor. how much are those?

  • great where is the sound?

  • what exactly do this engines usually power?

  • @cobra96svt570 rotary engines are probably most famous for powering mazda rx-7 and rx-8s.

  • @cobra96svt570 They can power anything from a concept ATV :-) , street bikes (actually successful), aircraft and whatever else you want to put it in. We had them running in all the above. Really same concept as the Mazda rotary engine. Great engine for quick torque load and minimal moving parts.

  • That´s strange, no sound which I so wish to hear. :(

  • How do you get a rotamax or any other kind of rotary engine

  • 600cc street bike engines produce around 100 hp

  • @philtripe Thanks for the input - this was just a "thing to do" because I wanted to see what it would do. This rotary is only 150cc engine so much smaller displacement with darn close the same HP. Not to mention that 80% of torque is produced at 1800 rpm...... It was a fun experience and is indeed not the best setup however did what we could with the resources we had.

  • @xscatolare oh...150cc?...holy crap then,lol...do you have any idea what that motor weighs?i know my old xr600 motor weighed about 90lbs...nice work by the way

  • @philtripe I dont recall the weight but I was thinking just the rotor "block" with crank and piston was under 50lbs. There is not much to them at all. I have not messed with it for a couple years so it is just sitting in my garage but I have been getting the itch to get it back out and running and post some more vids - we did some tweaks that improved response time of the CVT (only downfall to the setup).

  • @xscatolare crank and pistons? eccentric shaft and rotors you mean?

  • @SuBN01z3RaT yes, you are correct. Got caught up in replying and did not pay attention.

  • YEAH BOI ! RE---POST

  • I bet it sounded like an air grinder at high speed.

  • im sure it wud be a good vid if there was sound

  • yea that thing looks fucking awesome guys good job its even easy on the eyes very nice very nice!

  • i remember my first quad haha

  • wider axles and not cvt but its really cool

  • needs wider axles, but really nice

  • I envy whoever has ridden that wee beast....!

  • boo it's some smallish independant rotary engine... show me a 13B-REW on that shit and then we're talkin!! Haha, jk nice one gotta respect the rotary.

  • @londonas2 faggit, you pease of shit. from wat it looks like it it is fast. and did you realized the motor is rotary???

  • god this is nice

  • my god that thing is beyond ugly

  • shit no sound. thats no fun. Repost with sound

  • cool, 75 HP. Thats as much as my old bug XD

  • Sorry but the music that was on here got yanked since it was related to the latest scandel of copyrights and youtube and so there is no longer any sound. There a couple other vids of the atv out here that have sound to them.

  • awesome quad, nice video

  • In reference to the last couple posts. We had high hopes for the concept but did run into setbacks with the development process. Hopefully we can get something more going in the near future. But it was definitly a blast building it and seeing it come to live. If it had a gear box you would definitly see the torque in it. We have made some changes to the CVT that has improved powertrain response though.

  • All I can say is that you gus did one fine job here. Keep posting as your development continues. Are you planning on racing?

  • this an awesome quad/vid, but seriously get rid of the music. I hate listening to music when im actually trying to hear the engine...

Everyone fucking does that in their videos

  • wow alot of dumb people dont know shit about a wankle engine. its a rotary meaning it gets 3 power stroke every revolution. the engine is so much smoother because of the rotating motion instead of the up and down motion. thus meaning higher rpms. from 3000-9000 rpm you can barely tell the difference

  • If you understood anything about rotary engines you wouldn't leave such a comment.

  • cool, but why the stretched frame? The rotaries got to be small enough to use a regular length frame.

  • we put the extended swing arm due to concerns of to much torque. It actually deleveraged the tire grip so it has since been removed. It uses a comet clutch setup so you dont get the torque feel you would with a standard gear box. This bike has bee thru vast changes since this video. This was our intial run with the engine in place. Thanks for checking it out.

  • street garbage.

  • a banshee has like 35-40 hp stock ! learn facts

  • i ceen dis bike b4. it haz blu powrbend en crome eguast beeringz. fassist 4 wheela in da werld. u'z stoopid bich's to tink it be lezz than 100 hpz

    ;)

  • i think it might make 75hp, but thats just a completely random number i pulled out of my ass

  • I put a built yamaha yz426 engine in my 400ex quad and it was putting out 52whp and was crazy and snapped the chain in only 30 mins of riding.

  • im not impressed too about the power, i thought it was gonna have about at least 110 hp, ive seen stock atv's with more power than that, but yet its a good concept!:D. and dont you think the frame its big for a little motor?

  • More power than 75hp stock? Hell no. The fastest quads out are the 450s which are putting out only 40-45hp. 75hp is fast as hell.

  • well i don't know, but my neighbor is specialized in small motors like bikes, atv's etc and he has a banshee that its giving 100 hp completely stock. how? he changed a few parts... and yeah its completely stock because he haven't touched the piston parts on inside the atv...i don't know how he do it really...

  • IMPOSABLE!! Banshees only put out 37hp stock. You can pipe it and removed the air box and change the filter but will still have 40 somthing hp. The FASTEST banshee I ever seen was in dirt wheels mag that had thousnds and thousnds into the engine and put out 110hp. No stock sport quad puts out over 45hp stock and to get to 100hp is nearly impossable in all quads sept the banshee if you have thousnds and thousnds in engine work.

  • well i dont know really. maybe he changed the motor to a big one, i dont know really dont know details so... but yeah its giving about 100 hp because i was the day when it was dyno tested...

  • Well it must have had a snowmobile engine in it. People do that with banshees.

  • oh ok ok, cool! well it must be cuz giving 100 hp with stock engine :)... he said that in the future that he will put low compression pistons since he knows about small motors and he will add a turbo on it! :D i was like wow! heheheh

  • HA REALLY? 85hp banshee with a stock engine?

What color powerband does it have?

  • wanna ask me what color boxers he was wearing aswell?? or how big his penis is? i dont fucking know dude. all you have to do is up the compression. the stock engine can take a beating hes done it to 2 different banshees running new air filters exhaust and higher compression its a simple horsepower gainer on stock heads stock block stock pistons

  • Ha well if you want to find out how stupid you are and the few other that posted here go to the dealer and tell them how stock banshee engines are making 85hp and over 100hp with stock engines. Your look retarted. Ask about buying power bands to while your their.

  • Blue to match the plastics.. stupid! *rolling eyes* lol!

  • your an idiot!

  • wow your an idiot

  • wrong

  • HA wtf you meen im wrong? about what?? A banshee having over 100hp stock?

  • your a dumbass!! a banshee 100hp stock? ! lol

thats more horse power than a suzuki samari!

try 37hp stock ,, really wherein the F### do you get 100hp?

seriously that is the dumbest thing ive ever heard for any atv on the market!

  • Im not the dumb ass idiot. Im the one that started saying how stupid the people where to think a banshee had 100hp and im the one taht said they only have arond 37hp stock and mid 40s with a exhaust.

  • hey dont be a moron. its using the ATV's stock tranny probably.

  • sorry quoted you by accident

  • you saw atvs with more than 110hp? really what color was the power band?

  • What is that thing spining in front of left leg shin , it looks like if it grabs your pants you are gona be in a world of pain . It dont look safe at all .

  • That is the CVT. It is inclosed and all that is exposed is the bolt that goes through the crank so you see that small opening. Nothing on the outside of the enclosure is moving.

  • I think it's cool you got a rotary engine in there, but I'm not impressed by the power. 75 isn't that much if you've gone to all that trouble.

  • This was our 1st run so there were some tweaks that we needed to do. I have other vids out here from another run in the sand dunes. The power appearance is lacking due ot the CVT drive train we was forced to use due to space constraints. But it wwas really not that big of a deal to mod it over. Only structural change was engine mounts and jack shaft mounting point. A premium CVT or even gear box would truly show off the power in this little engiine. Certified aircraft engine is not a bad thing.

  • take your gay music off

  • wow! great work guys! :) i would defint. invest in one of those! :) bad ass!!

  • Thanks for the comment! I am going to silver lake,MI the wknd of June 5. We have made a lot of tweaks to this version and I will post more vids of its performance once we return.

  • Not that impressed for 75hp. Might need regeared or something.

  • It has a max horse of 75.Yes the clutch setup has been reviewed and we have modifed quite a bit since this video however the weather has limited our testing. This is a proof of concept for the rotary engine on an ATV so there are still some kinks. The drive train is a big issue and is challenging due to limitations of the frame size. Anybody out there have any leads on a small gear box with a wet clutch? If so please leave a comment or message. Thanks for checking the vid and leaving a comment.

  • Have you checked to see if there is a cvt type setup for the engine your using? Rotory engines generally produce very good torque for their size and this might be a good way to go.

  • yea , but 75 horse power for something that light is insane , good choice of music by the way

  • holy crap! How much power does that thing have?

  • not sure at this point, going to get it on a Dyno and see what we are getting to the wheels

  • You need three guys, standing together and all talking at the same time. One to say "here he comes!" another to say "here he is!" and the third to say "there he goes!"

I hope to someday be able to afford one of those engines for my plane!

  • It is amazing to think that this same power plant is what people want to put in an aircraft! Thanks for checking out the video, I will be posting more shortly.
