  • This would have been better had she not repeated Jamie so much. There were several places it wasn't necessary. Otherwise incredibly beautiful.

  • Beautiful song but just opens old wounds.

  • I can relate to this song too much. I had to hold back tears while singing this at my voice lessons today. =\

  • Yeah this song is pretty much my life right now....I'm Cathy.

  • My sister sang this. My ex boyfriend's name is Jaymi, and he was sitting next to me. When she was done singing, he looked at me and asked 'are you still hurting?' I looked at him and said 'yes'.

  • such a great song!

  • Pretty sure this is my teacher; Jamie-Leigh Russell :')

I think this is it because it sounds like it and this is what I remember was the photo! She's amazing! Love you Ms Russell!!!! <3 xxxxxxoooo

  • I loved this song...then I became Jamie...Now it just hurts. But it is still a lovely song that can really showcase a voice.

  • My ex showed me this musical. Best thing he ever did while we dated.

  • My name's Jamie.

  • It's Ironic. The person I've been in love with, the person I told I'd wait for her and she said it back, and then started dating my friend.... again, sang this.

  • @SexyJerrod

I've been there...but as the girl that dated the friend. If she was anything like me, she hates herself for it.

  • <3 speachless

  • this is depresssing, but so incredible♥

  • @Rowskees I believe it's 9/8. Hope this helps :)

  • @ppgzfan2006 it's definitely not 9/8. it's 6/8 or 3/4.

  • i am only 14 and i am audtioning for a solo in a schowcase with this song.. i love it!!! thank you

  • I'm singing this song for an audition today...HARDEST SONG EVER!

  • i'm hoping to be able to sing this for my high school's 2011 musical theater showcase. i'm a senior this year and i'd really like to be chosen for a part before i'm gone!

  • I used to dislike Sherie's voice, but I've been listening to this soundtrack for years now, and I've realized she's one of the most talented voices out there. She's completely in control of her voice; she knows exactly how to alter her tone to make it heartbreaking, or powerful, or tenuous. She sings in such a way that it's not about the singing; her singing bolsters her acting (contrary to voices like Idina Menzel's, which I used to admire more).

  • I'll just go with terribly sad.

  • I Love Her Voice, But I Think They Should've Chosen Somebody Else With A Stronger Voice? Agree??

  • @chinxy12 Agree! :)

  • This song is simply beautiful. And while Sherie did a beautiful job of emoting the song to the audience, I do not care for her voice. She has a rather odd belt voice...very uncontrolled and strained-sounding. She is a beautiful actress, though!

  • I love this song, it is so beautiful. One issue, that I know people wont like me for this, but there's just something about the womans voice at some parts. This is mainly at the point she gets louder, it sounds a bit pitchy. But that' s just my opinion so yeah. Otherwise very amazing.

  • @PenguinFire195 honestly i get that impression a lot when listening to recordings of a lot of broadway music in belted sections, sometimes in live theatre as well(not as much on broadway where all the singers are fantastic) but often it sounds to me like it is on pitch but not spot on, of that makes sense, just not as precise. However a lot of that dissapears in the live hall. For that reason though i'm not a huge fan of straight tone, but they love it on Broadway so, go figure.

  • my ex. :'(

  • 1 person isn't hurting anymore

  • this is just absoultly beautiful('''':

a girl at a talent show sang this song and honestly she was amazing!

i think she should be famous!!

    sad beautiful song!!<3

  • Such a depressingly beautiful song

  • Terribly depressing, yet terribly beautiful at the same time.

  • @wearethough

"All the good music is the most depressing music because it's written with the most passion."

  • This song is absolutly amazing!!! I get goosebumps and cry everytime I hear it.
