During one of the airsoft events in this location (Citadel Airsoft), I was lucky enough to have met 2 veterans from the 36th Engineer Brigade based in Fort Hood, TX. They were the most honorable and respectable men I've met. They NEVER said things like we the civilian players were pussies and should join the army. Everybody felt honored to play with them, and we had a great time.
The level of maturity in these events is MUCH higher than you'd think.

Great but your drills are bad. One it's airsoft so why drop mags on floor. Two stacking to tight and one should always be checking door. Kicking doors open great but what about boobie traps. Think simple and fight hard and fast..but stay alive. Never move into room until flash bang detonates. Good but could be better.

Man, I wish I could go to Airsoft Training like that. I know I can't becuase I'm only 12 and I probably can't afford such good Airsoft weapons. So I stick with plastic spring rifles and have backyard wars with my friends.
All that training fly's out of the window when the real projectiles come flying at you. All airsoft can do is make you have a false sense of confidence. Real training with real ammunition is the only way to not shit your pants in an actual "event", and you'll still shit your pants. its good to see airsoft not only grow as a hobby or sport, but also as a form of training for law enforcement and military training. my uncle is campus pd down in san diego and they use airsoft as a cheap alternative to live rounds when training.
it sure is a good video, but i don't get it, why you all look in the same direction when going around the corner. It's not 1944, you don't need more than one rifle in on direction, the firepower (not AS) and the ROF are high enough, one soldier in every 60°-120° direction (3-6 members/squad) and everythings fine. You need to cover your back at all times by all means, it's cqb nothing but your current line of fire is secured! NOTHING! And: your barrel follows your eyes. No looking around!
@HESXENON for ROF cause yes its AS but in the us we use singleshot only in cqb, and at most major national opps have those rules here, na dits just trainings to really keep your ppl together and if there are alot of ppl in there you put every man in the room even if you wipe its worth it, push , push , push and sometimes ya die but usually in the end you win
Why didn't they have anyone shooting back? After the initial training, it would have made it a lot more useful. Boards don't hit back and neither do paper targets.
The grenade was thrown in by an instructor on purpose to test the students' focus on clearing the room.
I'll have to agree that this is not a good of focus-testing method, since the standard response when I see a grenade-like object nearby is to yell "GRENADE!" and run to the opposite direction for cover.
The focus-testing method might habituate / "numb" the students' response to grenades.
The class was like $40 and was like 6 hours, and they have a couple other classes, like squad tactics, and a gunfighter course which is alot of single person shooting skills adapted over to airsoft
and remember the ppl getting trained for the most part are not current mil, just regular airsoft players that enjoy there hobby and want to perform as well as possible on the field so we practice and train just like any other athletic activity

@Pichacu1 Not really, It's a bad place for people who are on the opposite team of snipers. Getting hit with a 0.3 gram BB traveling at about 450-500 fps at 30 feet would really, really, hurt. Good thing snipers aren't allowed in CQB.

its good to see airsoft not only grow as a hobby or sport, but also as a form of training for law enforcement and military training. my uncle is campus pd down in san diego and they use airsoft as a cheap alternative to live rounds when training.

it sure is a good video, but i don't get it, why you all look in the same direction when going around the corner. It's not 1944, you don't need more than one rifle in on direction, the firepower (not AS) and the ROF are high enough, one soldier in every 60°-120° direction (3-6 members/squad) and everythings fine. You need to cover your back at all times by all means, it's cqb nothing but your current line of fire is secured! NOTHING! And: your barrel follows your eyes. No looking around!

@HESXENON for ROF cause yes its AS but in the us we use singleshot only in cqb, and at most major national opps have those rules here, na dits just trainings to really keep your ppl together and if there are alot of ppl in there you put every man in the room even if you wipe its worth it, push , push , push and sometimes ya die but usually in the end you win

Why didn't they have anyone shooting back? After the initial training, it would have made it a lot more useful. Boards don't hit back and neither do paper targets.

The grenade was thrown in by an instructor on purpose to test the students' focus on clearing the room.
I'll have to agree that this is not a good of focus-testing method, since the standard response when I see a grenade-like object nearby is to yell "GRENADE!" and run to the opposite direction for cover.
The focus-testing method might habituate / "numb" the students' response to grenades.

The class was like $40 and was like 6 hours, and they have a couple other classes, like squad tactics, and a gunfighter course which is alot of single person shooting skills adapted over to airsoft

and remember the ppl getting trained for the most part are not current mil, just regular airsoft players that enjoy there hobby and want to perform as well as possible on the field so we practice and train just like any other athletic activity

hey, im in this video, lol, fckin rock on, and yes this is a airsoft training course, hosted before a national event to get us ready for the MOUT site, local N.E team GMR hosted this at the Citidel in Mass., which is and indoor airsoft field, GMR as a team is 80% current or ex military , and a few are prof. trainers for tactics, and its not a grenade at 1:46 its a thunder B and the trainers were throwing them at us to see if we could still focus while loud bangin was goin off next to us

@Pichacu1 Not really, It's a bad place for people who are on the opposite team of snipers. Getting hit with a 0.3 gram BB traveling at about 450-500 fps at 30 feet would really, really, hurt. Good thing snipers aren't allowed in CQB.

It doesn´t have to be flashbang, but just only some grenade that makes really loud sound.And while it´s banging, they go in and clear the room.But most important is, that this is a COURSE for airsofters, who are NOT professionals.You can´t expect to do everything right right away like pros who train it for months and years.Only thing you can do is to critisize on the web.

@donaldds25 never, no school will ever sponsor a sport that trains you in tactics, useing replica firearms, college's maybe, but as far as public schools, they have that no tolerance policy so that if you make your hand shape like a gun, you can get in trouble. No way this will EVER be a school sport with the current rules.
