cool I have close to same thing kinda sitting in front of me to build. Im typing from E2200 2gigs of 667 and a BFG 275 Overclocked Edition and overclockd anyhow. I am very disapointed with my performance in a lot of games with wht Ive heard from and about the card. Alot of places say that CPU does not matter, this is complete shit. I have a Phenom ii x4 Black Edition 3.2 ghz and 4 gigs of ram 667 with win 7 ready to go, I hope that this can unleash true 275 OC. Nice system!! CPU MATTERS thumb up

I was just playing GTA IV at 1920X1080 Everything Maxed out to Very High including the View Distance which is set to 100% and Texture Quality which is also set to High and it plays PERFECTLY! The GTX 275 is the best bang for buck card out on the Market, It has Big League Performance for an almost entry level price.

that might be his monitors maximum resolution (i cant go any higher, i have a 19"). AA is used in low-resolution, because it gets rid of the pixelation, so AA is pointless when your at your monitors max res.

Hey man, I've got a GTX 275 and a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ BE @ 3.23ghz (been at higher but it barely affected my score, so I set it to 3.23 for some reason and I'm too lazy to set to stock :P). My scores are WAY lower than yours:

SM 2.0 Score: 5319

SM 3.0 Score: 6636

CPU Score: 2386

I know my cpu's pretty dated, but that shouldn't affect my SM scores so drastically, right?

My FC2 scores / FC2 fps in general sucks as well. Damn my computer :(

600 will run it fine. 550w is minimum for this card.

If you want to run it real smooth get a 650w or higher.

It's not about the wattage. It's about the amperage on the 12v rail.

I don't know how much the GTX 275 takes, but for an example, the HD5850 needs a minimum of 40 amps on the 12v rails.

They only state the wattages because it's easier for people, however, sometimes they can have, for an example 600w and perform like a 500w because the amperage is too little...

i got a question. when I'm playing CoD4 it is always running a smooth as butter, but occasionally the frame rate drops from the 100-150fps down to about 70fps for about 1 second before it goes back up again. Do you know what's wrong? I have the latest drivers. BTW People please don't start the whole thing about how many frames can the human eye see again. When the frame rate drops to about 70 there is quite a noticable difference.

'I dont really know what the fault is but maybe you have speedstep and shit on your processor so it downclocks itself in idle and sometimes even when your gaming? If you wanna turn this off go into bios and turn off/disable speedstep and spread spectrums and that shit...

hey is this in multiplayer or single player? If its multiplayer there is a common problem where frame rate.. or a slight stutter will occur when playing, I think it either has to do with the server or punkbuster, nothing to worry about. If its single player, is it a sudden drop? could just be that u enter an area that has alot to render. If its a stutter drop (like pause/lag for a moment) then it could be a driver issue or something else, IN singleplayer.

hmm what video card do u have? common causes are bad drivers/bad installation (make sure u properly clean ur registry etc b4 u install new drivers) your GPU maybe downclocking to 2D mode. Do you have enough power/amps on ur PSU to run ur system? Also Ive head of UPS's causing similar issues if you have one. Is it happening only in COD4?

i'd say you need 25 minimum to have minimal noticable lag. but it differs from player to player. i consider 15 fps playable...this may not be enjoyable but the game would still be "playable" in my definition of the word. 30 fps will run pretty smooth for most games

i would have to say 30 fps is a minimum frame rate for high end gamers as for those who just play with an average skill set should do fine with 20 to 25 fps, very easy to get with a $1200 build these days. Just max your motion blur.

hrm thats not gonna give you a huge performance increase, if you're gonna spend your money on the gtx 285 right after the gtx 275 i'd just get 2 275's and SLI them. (sorry if i misunderstood you). and about the OCing... thats a hit or miss process and really depends on what chip you get. i've seen some ppl with the same exact mother board as each other get completely different OC results. I have gotten my i7 920 to 3.8 ghz stable with my asus p6t but others have gotten them to 4200 mhz

Cpu voltage can you see in the test. FSB voltage= 1.3-1.4V. SPP/NB=1.45. MCB/SB=1.525 and nearly everything is on default
