There is nothing dangerous about that light, it is just the mixture of speed and stupid drivers, you can see many people not breaking because if they break when the road is frozen over with ice then they might flip over or crash even worse, so they have to keep going. What Russian needs here is a nice big ROUNDABOUT! Crashes would still happen, but they would be far more likely to be sidescrapes rather than the nasty side-on crashes you see in this video. What's more, they'd happen at lower speeds because the cars would have to slow down to go around the roundabout. The only potential problem is skidding in icy weather. Better still, these guys are better off taking the St. Petersburg Metro.
