great attempt, perhaps next time you will try casting the helmet. I found using a sanding sponge wrapped with a lower grit sandpaper helps smooth out surfaces a lot cleaner than using a standard block. besides a few imperfections here and there you did a great job!

@chrissx16 create a frame around a sheet of PETG plastic. warm it in the oven until it droops 5 inches in the middle. suspend your mold on a stand. press the PETG plastic over the mold.

@googledude23 i got most of the idea from volpin, but one important thing i did that was different from his was i did not cast out of a master mold. my attempt at mold making was unsuccessful. so what you see here is basically a one time sculpture.

Its beautiful...I may make my own one day, but its probably going to use the papercraft method, its more economic, and can SOMETIMES yield more accurate results...if ur not lazy and decide to make a more detailed papercraft!

Ahhhh, it's good, but do you regret not sanding it more before casting/chroming it? It looks kinda messy in some parts on the edges and what not, which detracts a little from the rest of the good points.

@himynameishelen YES! i actually do carry those particular regrets. unfortunately i didn't really have the proper tools available. if i had more time and the luxury of a certain special equipments and a suitable work place instead of my balcony/kitchen i think i could have had room to be more particular. this was my first and only attempt. much of it was trial and error. i wish i had chromed it. maybe down the line when i have more money. thanks for the critique. greatly appreciated :)
