  • Lovely- a true talent-Died too young!

  • @bc77077 yes it is hard for anybody to sing like the wonderful patsy cline! but beverly d'angelo sang wonderfully as patsy cline in "coal miners daughter" and im not dissing jessica lange cause i love all of her work! just stating the facts...

  • Gives me chills every time I hear it.

  • I swear this lady makes me cry, every time I listen to her music, tears just fall down my cheeks. She had such a beautiful voice, it just amazes me the sound of it, the range, the softness, she was truly amazing.

  • @rockatophat

I feel exactly the same, I think she´s an angel. Greetings from Argentina.

  • your songs are butiful you are a geat singer

    patsy i prad for you

  • your songs are butiful you are a geat singer

  • Patsy lives in all of us. Patsy, it is not a goodbye but see and hear you when. DS

  • when movie was in production, lange a very talented singer was to sing patsy's songs. they gave up and lipsynced the songs.

like jim reeves their music cannot be duplicated.

  • @Hirene6963: Right

  • Pasty forever the Queen of Music

  • this is one of the classic women of country back when country was country not pop like. She had the voice that was like the angels in heaven singing <3

  • @hkfan1980 so true.country today is mostly crap pop music.

  • Thank you Jimmy for sending..I loved the movie, i love the song and i love Pasty.

    Regards, Jasmine.

  • I remember hearing Sweet Dreams on the radio, not long after Patsy died. With my 8-year-old imagination, I thought how it sounded like she was singing from heaven.

  • 234 likes, ZERO dislikes. AMEN, brother.

  • The QUEEN OF ART - and the QUEEN OF SONG

  • @POVIKING1 so true Patsy Cline truly the queen of music

  • This version of the song always brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for posting.

  • WTF is this stupid 1911

  • Love love LOVE Patsy....brings me to tears this movie...and the videos of the real her. You just feel it in your gut that the world suffered a great loss that tragic night. God bless and those that died with her.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • Can someone post the whole movie on here! I would like to see it! Thanks!

  • Patsy Cline died long before I was born. I am one of her biggest fans. I'll bet I've seen every video clip, picture, audio commentary, and heard every song she ever recorded. I wish I could have seen her in real life. I am thankful for this movie to have given a glimps of her her life. I must also say that in comparison to the video and voice commentary I've heard from Patsy, Jessica Lange did one heck of a job bringing Patsy to life for those of us that never got to see her in person. Thanks!

  • Sweet dreams of you things I know can't come true....Why can't I forget the past start loving someone new...instead of having sweet dreams about you.....Dedicated with all my love.....

  • I bought this movie to watch over and over, seems I never grow tire of it because of the music, she had such a beautiful voice, and the romance. I loved the part where he rode his motorcycle to see her at her mother house and then drove her in the night hours back to the place they first met and danced in the parking lot. Coal Miners daughter I bought also, but this moive sure is in my top picks !!!

  • You know, even though the movie showed the plane crash in a totally wrong manner...when it happened, it still wiped me out and I sat there looking at what was represented as my Daddy's death. I sat in the theater sobbing for a long time. I guess it was the first time I actually "accepted" that my Daddy was actually on that plane. I was disappointed in the actor they chose to play him...for one thing, not TALL. Daddy was 6'6". Raised Country/Singin` Gospel..Susan Marlene Hawkins Gilliam

  • @smarleneh I am so sorry you lost your daddy that way and much too soon I reckon. And Patsy was such a good woman with the voice of an angel...just a tragic tragic loss all around. And they must have been so terrified. Every time I even see a video with Patsy I get teary eyed - i feel the loss of her so much and she died 10 years before I was born - hard to explain. SO sad for all you kids. My thoughts go out to all of you my dear,

  • Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!

  • beautiful rendition of Patsy's song, have tried so long to buy the film on DVD but it was only available for NTSN and nowhere on the market for PAL, does anybody know if it is available somwhere, thank you so much

  • I loved the movie.. But I wish they would have got an actress that actual look more like Patsy...

  • great voice!!!

  • I love the movie Sweet Dreams thanks for the video.

  • this gal Jessica has been on my top fave actresses lis|t..anyone ever see HER facial expressions on Francis Farmer??? I"d rather have a bottle in front of me...than a frontal lobotomy......giggle......! and King Kong! I love Gorilla""s!!! yes...Time for a Revealatin Revolution...and Gorillazzzz war fair......(poetry in motion) this is....Peace

  • I've heard people try and sing this song........SHE CAN........great version.

  • @NIGHT12345678 she's not singing..she's lipsyncing haha

  • @NIGHT12345678...This isn't Jessica singing...it's Patsy. (Copied from "3 Movie Buffs Movie Reviews" : "unless you're Barbra Streisand and can outsing Fanny Brice, why would you want to hear someone who isn't as good pretending to be the real thing? Wisely, the makers of Sweet Dreams had Jessica Lange lip synching to the real Patsy Cline's records." (Wise INDEED, because really, can anybody outsing Patsy Cline?) Though I do think Beverly D'Angelo did a fantastic job in Coal Miner's Daughter.

  • i must've seen this film at least 100 times and i still love it to this day!!

  • will miss Patsy always

  • ... i heard 'sweet dreams' the first time setting in a bar in

Costa Mesa, Ca....summer 1968.....cold chills down my spine...

    flawless performance...!

  • Jessica Land did an incredable acting in this movie, just wonderful.

  • I would love to have an Mp3 file of this ... I cannot download... Could I pay you for a copy of this.. I kinda need it in the next week.... Would that be possible? I can be reached via email at dsmith935@comcast.net... Please let me know...It would save me a whole lotta trouble mixing this...

    Doug Smith

  • Great echo on voice to simulate live show, and great synching by Jessica. Powerful scenes. And a wonderful re-creation of the times.

  • Perfect.

  • can you please upload the whole movie?

  • Incredible..

  • She is truely a legend and a teasure ~

  • Three real artists, Patsy Cline, Jessica Lange and Coverdus. Thanks so much!

  • Somebody pls upload this picture!!! I need to see it again somehow. Thanks!

  • She still gives me chills. A magnificent artist.

  • This was such a great film. I love this song and love Patsy.

  • This is what Heaven sounds like..

  • Wonderful Music to listen to -- Jessica Lange did a Great Job as Patsy Cline ! Too bad she died so young! Thank God for the time she was here. Those are my two favorite songs by Patsy! Thank you for posting this!

  • Me gustaria tanto conseguier la pelicula sweet dreams subtitulada en castellano y no la puedo conseguir love a patsy cline

  • So love this music.

  • I fell asleep watching this movie,. When this song started and I heard Patsy's voice. I sat straight up and the first image I thought of was a fine gold thread suspended, her voice sounded like it didn't belong on earth it is honestly heavenly to a point it was almost was erie. How perfect she sounds, her voice is not part of the musicians its separate, her voice is her instrument...like.a wet finger running along the rim of a crystal wine glass. Absolutely Beautiful.

  • @apriabella1216 That is the most beautiful description I have ever read! And so true...........

  • @apriabella1216 Her voice is almost unearthly. She was unique. Nobody, before or since, had a voice like hers. Fifty years after her death, her recordings are still selling. She is, and always will be, simply the best.

  • Im a guy, and Im the biggest Patsy Cline fan around. But I have to say I was dissapointed in this movie. The acting was great- but they focoused too much on the relationship between Patsy and Charlie, which IMO should have been a sub- plot. Also, they should have began with Patsy Cline as a teen singing in little Winchester, before she was a young adult at the honky tonks. Of course, it may have been it would be harder for JL to look like a teen. All in all the movie is just average.

  • @VASINGER Jessica Lange, did the best she could with what she was given, very darned little. This movie was a lousy story of Patsy's life. The reasons why are a mile long, but Jessica did do Patsy one favor(outside of using Patsy's vocals) was make her pretty. (Jessica is known for her beauty as well as her acting abilities). Flattering? Yes! Make this a good story? Not even close, Hoss! Both CMD and the Dottie West films, were much better stories, dispite some accuracys.

  • @TheHopecentral I realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I actually think the real life patsy cline was much better looking than JL. The entire time I was watching I was wondering why they picked such a plain jane to play the gorgeous Patsy Cline. I do think the acting was great, though. And she showed a different side to Patsy- her spunkyness. But its true- the movie is very fictional in many cases. It should not be considered a bio movie. More like a lose character sketch.

  • I loved this movie and Jessica is SPOT ON. Watching lips and the music, you could never tell it wasn't her singing.....great job.

  • My most favorite Patsy Cline song-EVER!

  • this film was good but there was a lot of historical untrue things in it such as the car crash and plane crash and how charlie used to beat her up and when patsys mum saw the film she wasent happy with certain things they shew in it

  • goose bumps...best female vocal ever

  • if a patsy cline movie were to be made today i think marcia gay harden would be perfect for the role.

  • MAGIC

  • this is probably the best movie EVER. i just wonder if it would have been better with beverly deangelo playing patsy. (probably not)

sweet dreams and coal miners daughter will forever be classic.

  • Why is it that most incredibly talented singers and actors die young? Many don't ever live past 50. Is there some curse to being talented?

  • @Jevezy Conway Twitty was 59 when he died

  • @lucasmollet; I was just being dramatic, I know they did not all die before 50. lol!

  • fantastic !!!!!!

  • This was her last performance......a couple of hours later she would crash with an airplane into mountains.

Great performance by Lange as Patsy Cline......this movie...i`ve seen it about 12 times, and it`s never boring.

    Great vid...thanks.

  • porepe@msn.com

  • en español me podrian decir como hago para encontrar la movie completa para gravar por supuesto subtitulada en español gracias

  • They don't make music like this anymore. ... :(

  • How can people still ask stupid questions like 'did she ever win an Oscar'? YOU"RE ON THE INTERNET CLUELESS!! Ever hear of google ??

  • Loved this movie!!!!!! Jessica Lange was awesome portraying Patsy Cline!!!!!!

  • Great Movie

  • to bad she had a husband from hell. Then again she was no angel. You know i think the son of bitch really loved her.......

  • @babyycat ha, yeah. he really loved her. maybe in the movie he really loved her.

  • ((:- beautiful -:))

  • SO wonderful song and marvelous voice!!!!!!!!!

  • fantastic voice. I have fond memories

  • If only her last concert had been this glamorous lol

  • @seonfox

No kidding. Sadly, there was nothing too glamorous about the real story. The writers must have had rose coloured glasses. And Jessica could have gained about 40 pounds too. Patsy was no wee thing. Those hell-of-a-gals never weighed 90lbs. But Jessica wasn't bad on the eyes and the music was all Patsy so the movie wasn't that bad.

  • @laceup1967 yes, patsy was rough around the edges...was bound for plastic surgery..and major tv shows etc.....but died in a plane crash...!

  • @laceup1967 IMO, Patsy Cline was a very attractive woman, and when she was starting out she was pretty thin, yet curvy. Very good looking woman. She put on weight later. But she was no porker !

  • @seonfox AGREED :) I know the producers felt the "Title" track deserved the star treatment. I think it pays homage to the many who would like to have seen her as a "dressed to nines" diva.

  • @skuttytip Very true! She did look that great during her last performances but the concert hall wasn't so nice. She looked like an angel though in that beautiful white dress she wore with her hair swept to the side...

  • has jessica lange ever won an oscar?

  • She's won two Oscars:

    Best Supporting Actress- "Tootsie"-1982

    Best Actress-"Blue Sky"-1994

She's been nominated several other times, including for this portrayal of Patsy Cline.

  • could you post the whole movie?

  • greatest movie ever even coal miners daughter

  • @refan227 yes...i'm love it....

  • have seen this movy years ago, your wonderful clip brought it back to my memory thank you, great job

  • she is beautiful and really great actor , perfect Patsy cline and like Frances Farmer in the film Frances, as well. Love the music, too

  • Sissy spacek actually sang loretta songs in coal miners daughter and jessica lip synched in this.

  • @mysticgypsy1976 When I heard this movie was being made I hoped and hoped that they would use Patsy Cline's voice and never let anyone else sing the song. Patsy had such a remarkable voice, a one of a kind voice. The kind of voice that cannot be duplicated, imitated, but never duplicated. RIP Patsy.

  • @Jevezy no one's voice can be duplicated.

  • @VASINGER : I know that, but that don't stop stupid folks from trying to sound like other folks. That is why I have to keep pointed it out to them.

  • Patsy Cline, una diva del canto. Jessica Lange una diva de la actuación. "Dulces sueños", una hermosa celebración de la vida de la gran Patsy, encarnada por la bellísima Jessica Lange.

  • mijn boby get cold wen A hear this performens ,LOVE is dreaming en hooping ,

  • CAN YOU POST TO WHOLE MOVIE.

  • XOXO

  • Calftail.... I believe what tickeet88 means is being introduced to Patsy's music...not to Patsy herself....

  • Ticket 88, you could not have seen this movie and been introduced to Patsy Cline at that time. The movie was filmed in 1984 and Patsy died in a plane crash in the early 60's...come on!!!! (I was in the movie as a dancing extra.)

  • I live in Argentina and I hadn`t heard of Patsy Cline until I saw the movie in 1984, when I was 24, and I congratulate you for being in that excelent movie.

  • That was no country band behind Patsy on "Sweet Dreams." She had definitely moved to pop with Owen Bradley.

  • Bought the DVD at Barnes & Noble last nite and I love it.

  • I remember seeing this movie shortly after it came out and getting introduced to Patsy Cline at that time. Recently saw Coal Miner's Daughter (even though it has been out for years and years) and I also think Beverly D'Angelo's own rendition of Sweet Dreams is very enjoyable as well. Thank you for posting this. Patsy Cline was certainly a phenomenal singer!

  • Excellent. That must be one of the best lip syncs I've ever seen.

  • im so happy they used Patsy voice for the movie .... =) i love it !

  • jessica actually recorded all the songs for this movie. truely amazing.

  • u should check ur facts, because NO SHE DIDN'T! i think ur thinking about Sissy Spacek in Coal Miner's Daugher.....

  • In those days, concert acoustics were very primitive. Only a couple of large loud speakers had to blast out the music to many people. That much sound wave activity bounced around walls, pillars and roves and then fed back into the microphone. The echo is typical of what people of the time would have experienced at a concert.

  • i love this movie

  • I had forgotten what a good movie this was. I know that it was released in 1985 or '86. The lip syncing Jessica Lange did was excellent.

  • When was this movie made ?

  • I beleive it was in 1985 ''Sweet Dreams.

  • where can i go to watch this movie online does anybody know

  • Awesome! The enhancement is just incredible and more believable.

  • nicely done, very enjoyable video

  • Since I saw this movie I love this song.:)

  • I fell in love with her as a little boy
