Neil Peart is amazing in the way how he looks at his instrument. Looking at is a true musical instrument and not just a rhythmic pounding machine. That makes him exceptional and imo one of the best.

Its my personal opinion.

I perfer Keith Moons drumming over Neal Pearts, but that doesnt mean i think keith moon is a better drummer.

Same with Terry bozzio.

Listen to the drum solo from "I will protect you" and tell me that isnt one of the greatest drum solo's ever.

The drum solos in Pain Killer - judas preist i enjoy a lot too.

I've been watching this guys stuff for a few hours trying to figure out why he is so famous. Can someone please post a link or something to something that is really impressive by this guy (I've been through all his solo videos on YouTube and seen the full "Anatomy of a drum solo" DVD). I mean something like Gavin Harrison's performance on the albums Drop and Circles. Something truly creative that doesn't abuse speed. P.S.
