cumulus nimbus...... the worse enemy of a pilot, that god damn cloud has a 16 km vertical size. i'm a pilot and yeah you need to learn about every cloud. nice vid btw.
Thanks to all ! this active CB or Cumulus Nimbus was in our route from Bariloche - Argentina ( SAZS) to Buenos Aires Aeroparque ( SABE). There was not turbulence , and we pass this line far away.
Thanks to all people to make this Video the most Cumulus Nimbus video viewed.

wow this is awesome footage of a storm in the skies! i wish i could see this in real life, i luv lightning so this is one of my goals to see a lightning storm from airplane :)
This looks to be a multi-cell thunderstorm. If you towards the end of the video, there seems to be a newly developing cumulonimbus incus mass with an anvil around 1:00 to the far right. It would seem that these storms are feeding off each other for development,
What incredible footage this is, and what a site it must have been.
This vid was much interesting cuz i need to write about the weather one of the objects: Comulus Numbus

It's actually Cumulo Nimbus, of the Cumulus family of clouds. Weather nerd alert, I know.

Massive width, frequent lightning and an overshooting top. I think this is a supercell thunderstorm

its called a cumulonimbus. a cumulus cloud is completely different

cumulus nimbus is an outdated term in aviation nowadays. It is now cumulonimbus (capillatis, calvus etc etc etc)

donbondiola 3 years ago
El avion volaba a 35000 FT.

Holy crap that is an evil looking cloud! Zeus must have been angry as hell! The lightning is absolutely insane!!!!
That anvil looks to be 15-18 km tall. Awesome 5 stars!

More dangerous cloud of the world for aviation never again entered turn
CmdtBarbosa 4 years ago
Looks like a front thunderstorm. I don't want to fly into that! Most pilots who died in Cbs rised too high in the upwinds and suffocated.
aviatorsbh 4 years ago
holy shit wht a monster of cloud! nice video 5 stars!!
schmalzfaust 4 years ago
Yes, our Proffesor of Meteorologics say that!
I like to see one CB, so, I know that it could be a mortal experience fly inside it!! Jejeje...
aeromexico777 4 years ago
You have up to 40 m/sec upwind and 15 m/sec downwind, lightings, undercooled water -> ice on wings, and hail... well have fun xD
schmalzfaust 4 years ago
A Cumulus Nimbus Incus indeed! As my meteorologics professor would say: "That's why I didn't become a pilot!!!"
