  • where fuck is part 5 x-(

  • is it me or at about 3;49, is George flirting with the camera?...what a sexy s.o.b...lol

  • Where was the first one taken? The 2nd one looks like it might be LA, but I can't see the back , and is the last Shea Stadium?

  • @Roseantique2003 Yesterday and Help finished up the 1965 segment on the Ed Sullivan Sow, You Can't Do That was done in 1964 in Melbourne, Australia, and Twist and Shout at Shea Stadium in NY. The Melbourne concert has excellent footage.

  • @RogLabato Yes, "Yesterday" was live. You don't see the strings crew because that was taped. George Martin, the Beatles "5th" Beatle and probably the reason for their huge success handled all the orchestra music in all the Beatle songs. At first, they resisted but after the crowds went wild they changed there mind and all became very rich. Wix Wickens does all those things programed his keyboard for Paul today.

  • Love, love love thanks

  • Where's part 5?

  • @greenwich1754 Good you brought this to my attention. It seems that EMI does like my promo. Oh well, Part 5 had the credits and disclaimer. I'll leave it on YT. Here is what it was tagged with:

Your video, Beatles Live USA PT5 of 5 - HQ , may include content that is owned or administered by these entities:

Entity: EMI Content Type: Audiovisual content

As a result, your video is blocked worldwide.

Who knows, they may change their mind - THEY CUT OFF THE CREDITS and DISCLAIMER

  • When Paul sang "Yesterday" on the Ed Sullivan Show, it electrified the USA. The next day, EVERYONE was talking about it, and I don't mean just teenagers. All generations watched Sullivan's show every Sunday, so almost the whole country saw that performance. It was so far from anything they'd done before and it made people realise that the Beatles were about to spring some more surprises on the world. It was a turning point and their audience suddenly grew immensely.

  • No one is even a close second! Like those below me, I'm glad I was there for it all!

  • This video has NO dislikes.

  • 2:33 and 2:40

  • as a musician for over 30 years,it is so,so, humbling to see what this four piece combo could do.the tunes, the arrangements, the sounds, the harmonys everything is just SO good.I've been in many bands,i've seen thousnds{i,m a concert promoter} including all the"greats"NO-ONE has ever come close to these guys, it,s scary how good they were,i would give my left nut to watch them reherse just once, just to see how they accomplished it.

  • @roman14032 Hey, roman14032, I appreciated your comments. I'm about your age, or a bit older, and I grew up watching The Beatles do it all the 'first time around.' John, particularly, has said they created their greatest (& unrecorded) work in Hamburg during their time there, and that's when the band gelled from all the daily practice. Beyond that, I think Epstein's help with the stage and George Martin's in the studio added what polish was needed. The Liverpool 'attitude' was their soul.

  • @roman14032- TOTALLY agree with your comments. The Beatles kept breaking new ground in music on every album right up until the end. There will NEVER be another group of musicians (at least in my lifetime) that will do SO much to change the face of music, and bring about such cultural change. Glad I was here for ALL of it!!

  • hearing yesterday gave me goose bumps!! Did all those people know that over 40 yrs later that would still be a classic...along with all the others of course!!!

  • i could tell hes playin a g7 on you cant do that

  • He dreamed up Yesterday!!!! Unbefuckinglievable!!!!!

  • You guys wanna know what wouldv been fucked up ?

If the Beatles died in an airplane on their way there .

  • I'm not sure Yesterday was real live, because we can't see the strings crew... Though it seems Paul is performing live. I'm laughing out loud with John at 2:40!!! What did he say?! Funny!!! And I guess John has messed up lyrics at 3:43... UNBELIEVABLE: how could Paul play bass that way, singing at the same time? WOW, where's Ringo on "You Can't Do That" (watch at 6:14)??? That's so strange: there's nobody on the drums =0)

  • @RogLobato that is another drums. Ringo's drums got some kind of white lines across the all kit

  • @Beatleaga Yeah, thanks for replying =0)

  • @RogLobato Hi @6:14 that's a different set of drums, if you notice at 6:47 when you do see Ringo, he's on his regular marbled set, which are the ones he used most often in the early days. The set seen at 6:14 are a very plain, unmarbled set. I hope that solves the mystery...it was live and there was drumming throughout, so Ringo had to be there...and it's one of my favorite songs, as most Beatles songs are. They were just amazing.

  • @edcoll61 I guess you're right: there must had been just another set of drums (but it's still "strange" having another set of drums mounted on the stage). I just can't choose my favorite Beatles' song... I get so confused everytime I try it, lol.

  • @RogLobato Hi, I didn't even notice that someone else said the same thing ( Beatleaga ) a few weeks ago...lololol...anyway, you are right, even though I grew up in the Beatles heyday, it's really nice to have somewhere to go to see all these old videos..no band today can even hold a candle to these guys, they were just freakin' awesome. As to their music, you do tend to have a lot of favorites, it's pretty hard to choose, so why not choose them all...lololol.

  • @edcoll61 > That's it!!! If we can't choose ONE, let's choose them all! There's just one small point I disagree – about "no band today can even hold a candle (...)", because I think there is/were other bands and artists that can/could get neck and neck with The Beatles. For different styles, I can cite only two for now: brazilian musician Caetano Veloso (his not from this planet) and Deep Forest (they drive me nuts). But The Beatles as pop-rockers are Top 1!

    Thanks for chating.

  • @RogLobato Thanks, I'll definately check out these people, I am a big fan of Deodato ( Brazilian Jazz / Funk )

As for today's music, I think in terms of hip hop and rap, both of which I can't stand. It's just total garbage. That's why I said what I said. I'm sure you can understand. I also love Jazz, but in my book the Beatles will always be number one.

  • @edcoll61 AGREE once more, lol. For me, music must have melody and a good "harmony" is welcome (I think you use to say "chords progression" in english). It must have a message, some lyricism, or something more than bad words... I've got what you said.

And there's something about The Beatles that transcends the music and people almost forget: every song has a rich story behind! When we get to know the inside stories of A Day In The Life or Strawberry FF, for example, it gets simply amazing!!! =)

  • @RogLobato Chord progression, like E, A, B or C, A m, F, G....always makes for good musical harmony, and that's pretty much, totally missing in rap...lol...the Beatles music also changed with the times, sweet and innocent early on and a bit more wild later on ala Tomorrow Never Knows/ all of Sgt Pepper etc. Yes, they were amazing as was their music. it really did change the world....thanks for the chat....

  • 8:12 Gods ...

  • 3:21 ringo wants to join in :)

  • me gusta los beatles, desde Peru

  • It's great to hear John flub his lyrics! Great video. Thanks for this.

  • "Yesterday" brings me to tears; "HELPPPPP!," "You Can't Do That" is great rhythm; the firat Shea stadium visit or was it in Washington D.C.

  • @L1S91

    D.C. bro

  • hey knowbuddies! this is the best, i saw the beatles in the odeon glasgow scotland in 1965, couldnt hear a thing because of the screaming. while i am typing this, "the beatles are singing you cant do that! that was one of my favourite beatles tracks. thank you! you have made a nearly old guy very happy.

  • 2:26

that was just like him,, possible paul conspiracy??????

  • I swear I heard Paul and George at 3:40 say "My life is shit"

  • @Peco4home me too

  • @Peco4home nope ... you can read George's lips and he definitely says "changed"

  • John messed up in "HELP!" haha but when your John Lennon you can fuck up in mid performance n only the rest of the band can make fun of you cuz everyone else will cheer no matter what the hell he sings.

  • Fantastic video! btw 'You can't do that' was filmed in Australia in 64.

  • It's just amazing to watch this stuff. I know there are classic all time great groups out there such as The Who, Zeppelin, Stones etc... but the Beatles stood above them all. Every song sounds different and is creative.. plus it helps to have two classic lead singers and then George.

Imagine if John had lived... A full Beatles reunion would have dwarfed that of any other group.. it would have been an event like no other.. Above Woodstock ..above Liveaid.. it's a shame it never happened.

  • 44 likes, 0 dislikes, that says it all.

  • i love black and white

i don't know why most people chose color instead of black and white

i pick black and white all the way as long as i can see it good and hear it good

  • fantastic work

  • LOVE IT !!!

  • I love George's bit at the beggining.

  • Leaves no doubt that the Beatles reign as the best rock group of all time.

  • "You Can't do that" is from Festival Hall, Melbourne, Australia June 64. This Aussie performance is the best captured for both sound and vision.

  • Hey MR Knowbuddies. I love you/guys? Thanks for this compilation of 5 parts it's just what i have been waiting for. Your the best ,thank you so much you have put some real love into my life once more via the Beatles. Any time your passing you can pop in for tea and i'll chuck in some cream buns too!!!

  • I love they are using Senheiser Microphones for vocals on "You Can't do That"

Too often I have seen them use obscure weird probably cheap at the time Japanese Microphones. Generic, Sears, who know what. Notice how crisp almost studio quality like their voices had on you cant do that. German pro studio mikes!

  • It's amazing that they could anything at all at Shea Stadium; God, the noise!

  • helemaal te gek!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BEATLES !!! BEATLES !!! BEATLES !!!!

  • Qué bueno ver y escuchar este material de The Beatles in USA !!

Hoy muchos grupos recrean o intentan recrear la magia de The Beatles, unos y otros tratando de emular a los genios de Liverpool.

Un buen ejemplo de recreación beatle en Argentina son The Brothers.

  • It's amazing the quality of the vocals. No monitors either! Beatles are the Best!

  • Listening at 3:45 ...... oops ........ what verse are we on? Haha - The Beatles were (are) the best band ever. I remember watching the 3 Ed Sullivan shows they were on - it was unbelieveable in that time. Thanks to YouTube and TheKnowBuddies for posting these amazing vids.

  • That songs name is "You Can't Do That"

    :)

  • Jhon what said in Help!!! ja...

  • johns got a case of bedheaditis XD too cute :) BEATLES ROCK!

  • what the name of the song at 5:10

    please tell me

  • "You can't do that" it's on the Hard days night album and the performance on here is not the USA but rather Australia

  • you cant do that was performed in Melbourne Australia

  • Lennon loved to mess with song lyrics, especially live. He admitted to making one clean particularly dirty just to see if anyone would actually notice besides the band.

The song was "I Wanna Hold Your 'Gland'" which upset the other members.

  • john mayer is still having an affair with boy george! ha ha

  • He did????? do tell more!

  • paul has forgot more bout musc than your sissy mayer will ever fuckin know ha ha your pathetic! why wage a battle of wits with me and show up unarmed are you inbred or something fool?

  • Comment removed

  • the reason they forgot words and stuff, is because look at the mayhem that surrounded them? they couldn't hear themselves think with all the screaming, they had no real time to practice and their performances were only 25 minutes or 30 sometimes 15, so it just happens they went a little south. if they had the time and place to set up, and they could hear themselves, then look out baby. they would kick it into a new gear

  • princesssmellslikeshit..macca could buy and sell john mayers twirpy ass ya dumb fuck!

  • Paul McCartney was the Metrosexual Beatle.

  • Have a look on the faces of Georges and Paul when John is singing the wrong words on HELP !!! They don't look too much happy ...

  • Haha, John had a habit of doing that (not on purpose, I think), and they just had to go along with it/improvise a bit.

  • Wasn't there a replacement for Ringo on that tour? He was ill I think?

  • Nah, that was 1964 Australian tour, where Ringo had tonsillitis, this was later

  • Actually, the clip you have of "You Can't Do That" was from the Australian tour, not the US tour. Just wanting to point that out.

  • yeah in melbourne...

  • @sacker12 it's still a good song
