If i ever get one i will make a review of it. i think i will stick with my mora clipper

    for now though !

  • @useaknife No prbs, thanks for watching my friend.

  • @ColinOutdoors thanks for doing great vids

  • @useaknife Your kind words mean alot to me, thanks again for your great support, take care.

  • @jimkressin Thank you so much my friend

  • What a beatiful little knife and sheath. I like the fact that despite its small size it still has a nice hand-filling handle. It looks like it would feel very comfortible in hand. And the smaller overall size looks handy indeed.

  • @nextexhale Thank you my friend, yeah its a beautiful knife, I love it and use it all the time, thanks for watching

  • its a great knife but i dont like that sheath design. I would want to carry it many ways like vertical horizonatal on your belt cause im a big guy and if i need the knife in a hurry like if your siting down hard to get when it vertical but it you have it horizontal you can get it fast and also able to carry it on your sholder. id also add a fire steel holder and if i could add a little pouch on it to maybe to carry like fishing line a hook and maybe sewing needle

  • @nightwalker2830 Thanks my friend, its not designed as a survival knife though, I like its small compactness

  • I really like the scandi-grind style blade. I'll have to check Gary Mills out and see if I can get just a blade that I can put some handles on. great knife evertime I see this vid I get excited. I love that knife,, its beautiful.

  • @FloridaSnookHunter Thank you so much my friend, I really appreciate your support. Yeah it sure is a beauty of a knife, I am enjoying very much.

  • she is a beauty! I custom make knifes. I know how much work goes into a knife like that. That is a very well made knife by a highly skilled individual,I dont know who makes it I will have to look them up. love the scandi grind on a bush knife. I have three knifes I made Im thinking about putting some videos up of them. great video bud! thanks for taking the time to share!

  • @FloridaSnookHunter Thanks my friend, yeah its a beautiful knife. I would love to see some videos of your knives. Cheers for your support

  • Beautiful Knife. Looks like it will give you many many years of use. Great video man.

  • @Leif242424 Thanks mate, I hope it will last a lifetime :-)

  • Custom knives are expensive but I think they're worth it such a nice thing to own and a very nice present to be given.

  • @davetogo123 Thanks Dave, this knife actually only cost £70 I think, so it was a bargin :-)

  • @ColinOutdoors Yes that is a bargin most of the knives on his site are near 200 quid..... will have a longer look at his website when I have more time.. cheers mate:)

  • @ColinOutdoors what in US

  • @killlerr2 Not sure mate, you can look at conversion charts on the net to give you of an idea, I would guess £70 to be just over $100

  • May I suggest going through specifically what you like or what you are looking for in a knife like this when you run a review? Maybe you love knives that do X and Y really well, and someone else doesn't care about X but really needs Y. You know what I mean? Things like "nice thick spine on the blade so you can split wood easily, but maybe it is too heavy for certain people and perhaps too difficult to sharpen." If we know what you want out of the knife the review will be easier for us to use.

  • @Melthornal Great point my friend, i'll be sure to do that in future videos

  • A very nice bit of kit mate, should give you many years of service.

  • @outithewoods Thanks mate

  • I've been drooling over Gary Mills' offerings for the last little while. While they are indeed somehow both beautiful and utilitarian, they are a bit of a nip in the wallet. I think the average blade goes for about 180 British pounds or so, which translates to almost CAN$300!!! It better last a lifetime! I can't deny they fill a certain spot in my wish list, though. At those prices, the average guy will have to be satisfied with only one, maybe two of these beauties. Sorry so many comments

  • @sabr686 Lol, cheers mate, yeah Gary makes excellent knives, mine was only £70 but thats probably due to its size, less material etc...

I am about to upload of a video of it splitting wood and making feather sticks so I hope you enjoy that my friend.

  • Well done friend! Did I say O2 steel in my previous post? Because I meant O1, of course. Sorry about that. Must have been thinking about the stuff we breathe. Would love to own one of those.

  • I need more characters so I can talk longer. Anyway, the knife is boss. It's got a masculine chunkiness to it. Paired with the rustic sheath, I agree, it should be strapped on the belt, or attached to a pack via Molle. Great quality vid, nicely described, Colin. Could we see it performing? Maybe cleaning up a branch, or slicing some jute twine would be a good demonstration. Well done friend!

  • Wow, beautiful knife, love the size and handle contours. Just GM's site, thanks for the tip!

  • @touchnova Thanks mate

  • Really unique & nice looking knife, Colin. I suspect he Mills used O2 because it's a little easier to work with, and as a benefit to you, it's easier to sharpen, and it does get very sharp. I think if I got strictly outdoor knife, I'd choose something made of A2 steel. It may be harder to sharpen (due to its 60-62 hardness factor), but it'll hold the edge a lot longer, and it resists corrosion much longer than O2. Doesn't mean O2 is bad. On the contrary, it's great, just not as. Thx Colin!

  • @sabr686 Please replace references to "O2" with "O1". Sheesh. Can't keep my letters and numbers straight. Sorry 'bout that.

  • @sabr686 I have never used A2 but it sounds like a great steel, not being the best sharpener out there I would probably prefer o1. Cheers mate

  • great vid! great knife! i was checking on the prices it seemed a bit costly but i definetly like his work and would really love one of those in damascus I'm willing to guess his prices are over 400 pounds he didn't have a single price on his damascus if it's true that his knives are folded over 420 something times it's gonna get a little expensive. enjoy the knife buddy

  • @Killahofosho My knife was only £70. I would imaging that damascus is expensive though. Cheers mate

  • @ColinOutdoors I don't know why but i love the way it looks and feels. the 01 tool steel is a great bush steel, but i love the damascus look it takes me a month to make 1 blade with 100 folds to produce them with 420+ folds is crazy! you found a winner with that knife quality is assured! excellent blacksmith!

  • @Killahofosho Wow a month, thats alot of work, sounds like you are quite the bladesmith my friend.

  • @ColinOutdoors i don't have all the best tools in the world but i make do you should see my friend he makes some crazy knives that just come out beautifully check out Sergeknives

  • @Killahofosho I checked out your friend SergeKnives, wow he makes some excellent knives, very very cool.

  • nice knife look's like it would be a good hunting knife

  • @TheVTHILLBILLY Thank you my friend.

  • Nice, I got something similar but its sheephorn and A2. The O1 is a pretty nice steel. I must say, I've seen some questions about legality issues and I can't help but feel bad you guys have it so rough. I saw they were even trying to take away pointy edges from chef knives, that is just absurd. Vehicles kill way more people and yet it seems they'll give a license to just about anyone. It blows my mind.

  • @Commentboy5000 Yeah its a bit crazy over hear with the knife laws, knife crime gets alot of media attention because it involves young men. So they government believe by tightnen up the law it will stop the crimes, I personally doubt it.

  • Cool....That subtle picture of a tree is something that i have just done with the knife in my latest video. The one thats now on Ebay.

I etch my logo onto the blade and then buff it. Looks like the one on this knife of yours. Turns out really cool.

I like the size of the knife. Good to just have in a daypack when out for a days hike when your carrying lite.

    Rob.

  • @RDPproject Thanks Rob, that sounds great on your blade, looking forward to seeing it. I hope you get a good price for your knife.

  • Is it legal to ware that knife at all in the U. K.? I'm just curious, because I've heard that the laws are complex on the subject. Thanks.

  • @zhsy00001 Not really, the law is complex as you say, however I am allowed to own the knife but should not have it in public, I only use it when I am in deep woods, miles away from others. In theory that should be ok, but I always like to be cautious. Cheers mate.

  • Do you mean making knife reviews? If so iv made videos on some victorinox reviews, an Byrd knife review and I have more to upload.
