This was fantastic to watch. You see, I was one of those...OMG, dreaded, evil...Hippies!!!! I left my little town of Warren, PA, to go to San Francisco. If you didn't live it, don't both commenting on it. My generation created the best music and it can't be done again. The Who, Led Zeppelin, Santana, Hendrix, the Doors, and, yes, the Grateful Dead. Do you remember the little fact that there was absolutely no violence at Woodstock. Hmmmm, could that be because we Hippies walked the walk?
@johhnygeri4evah You cannot take credit for the lack of violence at Woodstock without acknowledging the culpability of the hippie movement in the violence at Altamont, the Manson murders, the shootings at Kent State (where the students cornered, then swarmed the National Guardsmen thinking they wouldn't fire), not to mention the self-destruction of so many stars of the hippie media (Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, etc.) . Clear the smoke & remove your rose-colored glasses, Mr. Hippie.
@chuckiejay No one is perfect. Of course, being human, hippies had their problems. But at least they tried to make this a better world. And I applaud them for it.

This is Harry Reasoner as the commentator. This may have been on 60 minutes but the show didn't begin until 1968 and this looks earlier.
