  • I think the small Twin Otter planes get away with it even though I know it's not allowed. I've seen many a plane landing in Seychelles and it's always been on the runway proper. Either this was an exception or the Twin Otters do it all the time - I only really noticed now you mention it.

  • The only taxiways back to main parking are at the beginning of the displaced threshold and runway proper so the earlier they land the faster they can turn round and get off the runway. The Mahe-Praslin flights are about 15 minutes long and these pilots are flying the same route over and over so I guess they feel they can cheat by a metre or two...
