  • Screw you were already donationg plenty and like only 20% of the cash we send in acctualy arrives where its needed rest goes to paying people delivering the food and water,,,, think about that

  • Okay, I'm sorry, but how is that in any way my fault? I had good intensions when making this video and I can't control what the Red Cross does with the money; I can only hope for the best.

  • Yeah i guess i have to achnowledge that youre right on that one.

Really hope someone could stepp up and make an organisation that doesnt pay the employees and the employees vould doo it for free because then there would be more cash to help those who truely need it

  • im in north east missouri

it wasnt quincy that was in trouble it was west there in canton, west quincy, taylor, lagrange and other spots but north of quincy the levee broke in meyer

but it also broke in lagrange

  • I live in Iowa!!! I didn't know that you lived in the Midwest!!!! you just gained about 50,000 coolness points for being from the same region of the country as me :)

  • I don't live in the Midwest; I live in Washington. Just trying to help! :)

  • Whoops!lol. Terribly sorry, but it's awesome that you still raised awareness for us :D

  • That was really sweet of you, Kayley, talking about Quincy and the flood! I live in Quincy and I really appreciate all the help people gave, even though I personally wasn't affected.

  • hey u live in quincy!

  • I'm off to Wisconsin this week to see my family. There's flooding there too. I'm really scared, ahh. Some of the highways there are closed, it's scary.

  • lol I live in Illinois....jheeze I'm not gonna help now that you pronounced it wrong...no jk seriously I wanted to help too but I live near Chicago so not much I can do execpt donate money.

btw I have that shirt too! =]

  • tell them to help stop global warming and maybe i will help 31 percent of clouds have some type of chemical they r carring

  • i live around there..

  • Pronouncing Illinois like IlliNOISE is the fastest way to get an Illinoian to snap at you. "There's no noise in Illinois!" But don't sweat it. Thanks for making this video. Watching my home get flooded kind of seriously blows. :[

  • Yeah, that bugged me too. It kind of took the whole "this is a very serious natural disaster" tone out of the whole video.

  • It's been pretty bad in Southeastern wisconsin where i live.

  • We're actually helping out fellow Michiganders who lost power, had trees damage houses, and such. Wish I could be in Illinois, but I'm trying to do my part here =)

  • Illinois it pronounced without a "s" at the end.

I live in Illinois-we've had some flooding where I live.

  • Yes, I talked about that in the video description.

    I'm sorry. :(

  • Are you going over there to help?

  • Sorry I didn't read the decription box- I should have. And I didn't mean it in a bad way, just correcting.

    Thanks :)

  • Is it? hmmm let me check that...

  • Oh. That's not very good.

I wish I could help, but I'm living in Sweden, so... :/

  • Same here. Its a bit hard to help from Sweden. =/

  • Woot Q-town! Where I live! I didn't know anyone really knew we exsisted.

I think it may be cresting Wednesday. Though, no one really knows for sure.

    Thanks for your thoughts!

  • Aw thanks Kayley. I live in St. Louis, practically on the Mississippi river and I'll be helping out. You're support is awesome- let's hope that my family can keep their houses (they live right near Quincy).

  • One of my friend's relatives was affected by the flooding in Iowa. Thanks to anyone who helps!

  • Aw, I'm sorry, Evan. :( xxx

  • It's so great that you care!

    (:

    I wish I could help.

  • It's cool, the way you pronounce Illinois with the S. I pronounce library without the first R, so I'm a freak too, lol. I wish I could help but I live in Florida. Good thing you made this video, though; it gives the situation exposure :)

  • I'm from Cedar Rapids. Some friends lost homes, and our church is totalled. There's so much damage, I'm not sure whether the city will recover. I hope others manage by preparation to prevent this in their towns.

  • I'm so sorry; send your friends my apologies. :(

  • I'm near Chicago. As bad as the weather has been up here, I know it's much worse down there. Tornadoes tore up some nearby towns last week. We had no power for about 18 hours. Horrible storms every 2 or 3 days, but the ground dries up pretty quickly when it jumps up to 95 the next day. I couldn't imagine living by the river.

Some folk I know go to school down in Quincy. I'll see what I can do.

    You're quite altruistic, Kayley.

  • It's so awful, everything that is going on. :/

Thank you very much, that's quite a compliment!

  • I haven't experienced the brunt of the flooding, but we have lots of family in Iowa and my grandma's farm is in southern Illinois and my cousin's grandparents live in Quincy. The storms up here have been insane! My brother's soccer tournament was actually cancelled due to flooded fields. I love you, Kaylers.

  • I love you. :( xxx

  • Finally! Someone cares about Iowa!

  • i love how you care.

    its great.

    :)

i would sooo help but i live in louisiana..

  • Thank you. :)

  • Yeah, I live in Missouri and it is pretty bad here too! :-(

  • I'm so sorry! xxx

  • thanks for making this video. :) i live in cedar rapids and it's been crazy. we can't use water and there have been 25,000 people evacuated.

  • You're welcome; it's the least I could do. Good luck and stay safe! :/ xxx

  • I actually know someone who lives in E.Iowa... Specifically in Cedar Rapids. Which if you have seen, is just insane right now.

As for that not-so-silent s - do you listen to Sufjan Stevens? If so, you have a valid excuse! Not really. But every time I hear someone pronounce it with an S, I think of that album.

  • Thanks 4 sharing love...i wish i could help but i am in calif...and i am not working right now... but my thoughts and prayers r with all the people in need...and yes i am a father so thanks 4 that SMile! Smiles right back atcha!

  • Cool! Obama FTW!

Oh, Kayley, how's life been lately? Still stressed out?

  • It's muuuch better, thanks! I finished my exams on Friday. :)

  • i say Illinois that way to.

and its awsome that you are encoraging ppl to help.

  • Very good informational video Kayley.

    Obama FTW.

  • Even though I read the discription before I watched this video I still wanted to scream every time you said Illinois with an 'S'

But yes this video is awesome cause my friend lives right outside Quincy and is getting water like no joke.

  • I would if I could..but I am over in Canada.. I hope all goes well though. Good Luck to Illinois

  • np!! love u still!!! :)

  • GAH! i commented before i read the description!! I'm so sorry!!!! Your fine :D

  • fyi the S at the end of Illinois is silent. thanks ;)

  • She knows that. Start reading the description box, smart one.

  • i corrected myself like, 3 seconds later...

  • You are Awesome for making this video. Good luck on your exams.

  • Thanks. :) I finished all of my exams Friday! It was fantastic. Haha. xxx

  • Dude that flooding was insane. The park in my town is still flooded. I know that in Fon du Lac, WI, tons of houses were flooded with sewer water and so pretty much everything in their basements were ruined. My uncle is on a waiting list for up to two weeks until a professional can come clean it up. Near Milwaukee, their was a house that was actually swept away right off its foundation during the big storms on Tuesday(or Monday idk).

  • Yes, it's awful. :( I hope your uncle is doing alright! xxx

  • BTW, you're totally made of awesome for putting this video out. Especially since you don't live anywhere near us, all the way in Washington. Thanks!

  • i say Illinois with an S too! yay for weirdos!

  • Hahaha!

  • I really suck at pronouncing stuff, for example, I've called purgatory purge-a-tory.

  • Aren't you suppose to say Illinois with an S? I do.

Anyway, there's also some flooding where I live. There WAS, anyway.

  • No, you aren't. A lot of people do, though! Haha. :)

I'm so sorry. I hope everything is well.

  • There wasn't that much flooding. Mainly just basements.

My house is OK too; I don't think anyone was hurt in my town.

  • I wish I could get out there and help..... I'm sure somewhere there are Ham Radio operators coordinating things....

  • i feel so bad.

i'm in pennsylvania and theres no way i could get out there.

    stay strong.

  • I'm going to follow the crowd: It's ill-i-noy! no S!

    You are so adorable.

    I love youuu.

    barackobamabarackobamabarackobama.

ps. I'm making a video for you later.

  • I knoooow, girllll. Read the video info. I HAVE A SLIGHT SPEECH IMPEDIMENT WHEN IT COMES TO SAYING ILLINOIS. lolz.

I love you and YAY! I am going to a grad party so I'll see it late tonight or in the morning. Text me when you make it. xxx

  • I wish I could help, but I am in Arizona. You are such a good person Kayley!

  • Aw, thank you.

  • Heh, I do that thing with the S at the end of Illinois, too.

  • Haha, awesome. I'm not the only one! I always have done it; it's so annoying! :) xxx

  • coolness.

    those poor people...

  • I know, I mentioned that in the video description.

    Thanks.

  • I'm sorry. I did read the description but kinda skimmed through it and the red cross link caught my attention so I guess I ignored the other stuff. Sorry!

  • Did you just say Illinois, with an s?

  • Haha, yeah, I always do that for some reason. It's a habit I can't break.

  • it's okay. i'm from illinois so i have like sonic hearing when it comes to people saying it with an s.
