Screw you were already donationg plenty and like only 20% of the cash we send in acctualy arrives where its needed rest goes to paying people delivering the food and water,,,, think about that
Okay, I'm sorry, but how is that in any way my fault? I had good intensions when making this video and I can't control what the Red Cross does with the money; I can only hope for the best.
Yeah i guess i have to achnowledge that youre right on that one.
Really hope someone could stepp up and make an organisation that doesnt pay the employees and the employees vould doo it for free because then there would be more cash to help those who truely need it
it wasnt quincy that was in trouble it was west there in canton, west quincy, taylor, lagrange and other spots but north of quincy the levee broke in meyer
I live in Iowa!!! I didn't know that you lived in the Midwest!!!! you just gained about 50,000 coolness points for being from the same region of the country as me :)
That was really sweet of you, Kayley, talking about Quincy and the flood! I live in Quincy and I really appreciate all the help people gave, even though I personally wasn't affected.
I'm off to Wisconsin this week to see my family. There's flooding there too. I'm really scared, ahh. Some of the highways there are closed, it's scary.
lol I live in Illinois....jheeze I'm not gonna help now that you pronounced it wrong...no jk seriously I wanted to help too but I live near Chicago so not much I can do execpt donate money.
Pronouncing Illinois like IlliNOISE is the fastest way to get an Illinoian to snap at you. "There's no noise in Illinois!" But don't sweat it. Thanks for making this video. Watching my home get flooded kind of seriously blows. :[
We're actually helping out fellow Michiganders who lost power, had trees damage houses, and such. Wish I could be in Illinois, but I'm trying to do my part here =)
Aw thanks Kayley. I live in St. Louis, practically on the Mississippi river and I'll be helping out. You're support is awesome- let's hope that my family can keep their houses (they live right near Quincy).
It's cool, the way you pronounce Illinois with the S. I pronounce library without the first R, so I'm a freak too, lol. I wish I could help but I live in Florida. Good thing you made this video, though; it gives the situation exposure :)
I'm from Cedar Rapids. Some friends lost homes, and our church is totalled. There's so much damage, I'm not sure whether the city will recover. I hope others manage by preparation to prevent this in their towns.
I'm near Chicago. As bad as the weather has been up here, I know it's much worse down there. Tornadoes tore up some nearby towns last week. We had no power for about 18 hours. Horrible storms every 2 or 3 days, but the ground dries up pretty quickly when it jumps up to 95 the next day. I couldn't imagine living by the river.
Some folk I know go to school down in Quincy. I'll see what I can do.
I haven't experienced the brunt of the flooding, but we have lots of family in Iowa and my grandma's farm is in southern Illinois and my cousin's grandparents live in Quincy. The storms up here have been insane! My brother's soccer tournament was actually cancelled due to flooded fields. I love you, Kaylers.
I actually know someone who lives in E.Iowa... Specifically in Cedar Rapids. Which if you have seen, is just insane right now.
As for that not-so-silent s - do you listen to Sufjan Stevens? If so, you have a valid excuse! Not really. But every time I hear someone pronounce it with an S, I think of that album.
Thanks 4 sharing love...i wish i could help but i am in calif...and i am not working right now... but my thoughts and prayers r with all the people in need...and yes i am a father so thanks 4 that SMile! Smiles right back atcha!
Dude that flooding was insane. The park in my town is still flooded. I know that in Fon du Lac, WI, tons of houses were flooded with sewer water and so pretty much everything in their basements were ruined. My uncle is on a waiting list for up to two weeks until a professional can come clean it up. Near Milwaukee, their was a house that was actually swept away right off its foundation during the big storms on Tuesday(or Monday idk).
I'm sorry. I did read the description but kinda skimmed through it and the red cross link caught my attention so I guess I ignored the other stuff. Sorry!

Yeah, that bugged me too. It kind of took the whole "this is a very serious natural disaster" tone out of the whole video.
