  • start of the 2 car tandem???????

  • Wouldve been funny to see Brad spin off his bumper. Thats a dangerous side to be pushing a car. Jr with his "restrictor plate talant" should know that.

  • the thing that confuses me about this is how Jr is getting air on the left side instead of the right side, isn't that supposed to spin the lead car

  • @88fanforlife I want to say it was because the nationwide cars back then were more rounded in the bumpers than today, where they are more squared. a rounded surface touching another rounded surface has less contact with one-another, whereas two flat surfaces actually make more contact when lined up as the current vehicles are doing.

  • That was actually pretty awesome. Both Jr Motorsports cars handled so perfectly that they would literally be stuck like glue together for as long as they wanted. (Epic foreshadowing of the near future methods of restrictor plate racing)

  • Engine temperature at 260?! They must have good engine builders. lol

  • Im suprised Junior hasnt won a plate race over the last couple years. but then again the '' 2 car tango '' fucked up the plate races.. Hope they find away to get the '' pack '' plate races back. Maybe Junior can get a another dega streak going :))

  • I miss pack racing...

  • I fucking hate 2 car drafts. I liked it when it was a big pack and now it a 10 car pack all 2 car drafting. It suck. We can thank dale jr and nascar for the 2 car draft

  • @jaymes24885 its not jrs fault for the two car drafts, its a combination of the smoothness of dayona and talledega and how perfectly the bumpers on the cars align to each other

  • @jaymes24885 how the hell is it jr's fault? LMFAO! wow people really go all out to blame stuff on him

  • @jaymes24885 the pack racing was stupid, those races were all luck and even if you had the fastest car in the universe your probably not going to win, at least now, the 2 best cars will usually win

  • @Daltonalex25 Not neccessarily. Actually, the way it is now, I think the guy who has the fastest car has less of a shot winning 'cause now anybody can win a plate race. The fastest car's now just 1 of 43. It's who has the best teammates. The pack racing will be back after a little while though. The bumps are gonna be back in the Daytona track before you know it, and Talladega's gotta be getting a little rougher now, too.

  • @nascarfanatic2425 lol i dont even remember commenting on this vid, it must a been my bro

  • @Daltonalex25 Oh I see. Okay.

  • He said he hates this style though he's the first one i've seen that can do it good. In the modern era, I mean

  • the start of the 2 car draft...

  • I miss the old days of the entire field being within a second of each other now THAT was racing, not what we call"plate racing" now.

  • @Chargerdaytona69 that was plate racing back then. its the plate that made them within a second of each other. its all about the bumpers man. btw, i hate the 2 car tango bullshit too.

  • jr's the king of bump drafting, how else could johnson get his only win of the year

  • The reason why the hook up like that is because the COT cars make alot of drag behind it.

  • Whats with the questionmark in the title

  • Wish we had that back, not this stupid two car draft.

I'm not even lookin forward to those plate races anymore.

  • @RancheroBFT I miss the old restrictor plate racing too. I'm not even sure if I'm going to be watching plate racing anymore if the two car drafts continue. If NASCAR wants the two car drafts to stay (I hope not), they might as well rename the Daytona 500 and name it the Two Car Draft 500. I'd rather have a train of 43 cars at least 2 times per race because at least the entire field is closer that way.

  • it is bumpdrafting

  • Comment removed

  • Was this the birth of the 2 car draft? Maybe everyone went back and studied this race and how they did that, and low and behold, look at it today.

  • miss the old race cars fuck that cot bullshit I watched the talladega race yesterday and that 2 car tandem is annoying to watch NASCAR ftl!!!

  • @retroguy1976 i agree. but the only cool thing in that cup race race last sunday was the very end. that was pretty much a four wide finish at the line. that was exciting to watch. but i do get annoyed with the 2 car racing.

  • @checkfoldcallraise the finish was def great but I wish the 88 car had won instead of the 48 lol

  • @checkfoldcallraise its terrible especially at daytona and talladega

  • I miss how the cup and nationwide cars used to sound like these on restrictor plate tracks.. they sound gay as fuck now with the new car

  • I love how nascar fans think sticking close to the car in front requires some sort of godly driving skill when really all your doing is maintaining speed... God Nascar sucks

  • @hmaninc I like how in other motor sports the pole sitter has a guaranteed win. Where as NASCAR any of the drivers can.

  • Junior did the exact same kind of bump drafting the next day in the cup race on the final lap.

  • Jr. King of Drafting Today ! Remember when he won somethin like 5 out of 6 dega races , those were the good old Talladega Dale Jr. days R.I.P ol' #8

  • lol only Junior could be dead on someone's bumper the whole way through the corner without getting Brad out of shape

  • Jr. keeping half the nose behind the car and half out in the air to keep it cool while overheating.. One of the smartest plate drivers out there.

  • @gmachine20 Everyone does that.

  • Good skills on Dale Jr on the good bump for his team

  • Kyle Brow

Actually, Dale Jr. just bump drafted Brad Keselowski right to the lead on laps 74-5 of the scheduled 117 laps. Bump drafting is a Sprint Cup (or Cup) thing on superspeedways like Talladega and Daytona.

  • that didnt look like a bumpdraft to me

  • Man Jr is the master of drafting

  • sling-shot....engaged lol

  • @XDEMOGAMINGX rofl XD

  • Is Brad Keselowski Dale Earnhardt his teammate? I enjoyed yesterday :-D

  • @AutoslaapExpress no but they are super good friends

  • Lots of bump drafting at Talladega yesterday.......Worked great for Harvick

  • Very nice bump draft, they overtook everyone from the outside!

  • thats not bump draft thats push the heck out of the guy in frount of u so u can wreck him with one to go like keslowski with the flip and run insed of the bump and run

  • that's what they call a 260-260 draft. hehe

  • yeah we need those bump drafts back fullstrength this year especially after those late race caution restarts ..gotta get the freight train rollin somehow..its just a matter of drivers knowing how to lay off entering the turns

  • That's how to do it

  • i dont think it's gonna be that good at daytona..i think talladega will be fun though.

  • Beautiful!

  • I can't wait until the elmination of Bump Drafting in Daytona 500.

  • lol havent you heard? there are no more bump drafting rules for 2010 (unless thats what you meant....)

  • there wont be any elimination of bump drafting...nascar will let them go at it man so racing is BACK in the the drivers hands

  • Exactly :)

  • Maybe if you kept up with NASCAR you would know they have relaxed the rules. So your wish of no bump drafting wont be happening

  • @gafalcon7 Elimination? Nascar said for the drivers to monitor how they bump. Nascar wont do much about it

  • sure you are, and you are even cooler than me. you insulted me twice and i did just once.

but beware, nobody i cooler than me for a long time.

  • wow you insulted me.

now you are as cool as me.

  • reading is not one of the things you are good in, is it?

  • never heard about irony mofu?

    hahaha

  • People like Jr actually know how to draft right

  • I miss this bump-drafting in curves

  • @metalduvan

Jr was for a moment but if you watch the whole video you'll see nobody bump drafts in the corners with those cars, they can't. If you go and look at any Dega or Daytona race before the COT you'd see they always let off each other in the corners except maybe when they went for the win because the bumpers didnt match up. They do with the COT and only then did we see bump drafting in the corners all the time which caused problems with drivers who dont know how to draft.

  • @metalduvan turns dumbass

  • @metalduvan still do it in COT's bud

  • @aceofdaplace24 No, its not allowed with the new car.

  • @growyourwine when did they cdhange the rule bc this year they said boys have at it

  • @metalduvan DAMN YOU

  • @metalduvan WELL YOU HAVE IT NOW AND IT FUCKING SUCKS LOL

  • Draft baby draft!!!

  • omg they are cheating! :O

  • and with the 88 infont, he cant hold a line pretty much, if it were the 88 behind, drafting, jr would have been spun and flown into the fence.

  • Wow the quality of this is better than my own TV @ home.... How do you do this?

  • Cars running really really hot at 15.

  • Side by side of Dale. In beginning,he put the nose on the bumper and then break by going outside from the bumper of the 88. Unlike others, Dale at leat is really good at learning how to bump them without the big one

  • I feel bad for the 15 car who doesn't get any help from others in inception

  • That's crazy, It's very nice of Dale Jr putting his teammate Brad (88) to the first from later teen positions. Excellent speed Dale. U R really good at bumping them in the good manner.

  • Some drivers have to careful when they bumpdrafting others. It's very tricky and dangerous if it became aggressive as by bumping them with hard force. Bad bump = The big one

  • For those of you that Jr. has no skill, watch this video. Nobody could bump-draft and still get air to the nose like Jr.

  • I didn't say without wrecking, I said while getting air to the nose. THAT is skill. Jr. isn't as good as he used to be, but he's not completely terrible either. Why do I mention clean air, well that keeps the engine cool, you know. Besides that, there are people who bumpdraft, and then end up causing the big one or even a rollover.

  • lol only jr could bump draft and get air on the nose at the same time

  • I wish i had that good of HD on my TV!

  • Wow, Dale Jr sure knows how to push people at superspeedways.

  • I dont recall him ever spinning any body out and he push's the hardest

  • no no no no you got that all wrong buddy. kyle busch pushes the hardest (wrecks you) while dale jr pushes you the hardest with stability. youll get scared seeing that 18 in your mirror but that 88 will help you and you know your in good :D

  • Those Earnhardt's know how to race with restrictor plates.

  • wow, the high quality is awesome...

  • same here. this the best quality for a NASCAR video i have ever seen. Keep it up.

  • NICE QUALITY!!!! SUBSCRIBING!!!!
