What makedonwow said !!! that boss was awesome because it would build up the pressure on the raid as time goes. First and foremost the raid needed to get in position without forgetting to spread out. then apply proper DPS where needed. then handle the huge tentacles that did tons of damage !

No intervene or charge in combat back then... when you got kocked out as a tank you where useless for the next seconds ! And destroying the guts at the proper time so that raid could DPS him ! fantastic !

Also that "spread out" thing the guy says so simply on Teamspeak (thinking lvl 70s can roflstomp C'thun) was not that simple back then. With 40 friggin people, a simple 'spread out please' would not do.

I had to do a thorough pie group assignment plan with position macros for every single member of each group respectively.

The Beam actually did double dmg on the guy it jumped on. Could be resisted however or absorbed.

C'thun was among the greatest bosses i ever did, purely because he wasn't meant to be killed by just anyone :)

C'thuns EyE beam used to land the moment you engaged, making it EXTREMELY hard for the raid to get in position. Very few guilds managed to get him with that in play.

After a while, they changed the first EyE beam to land after a few seconds of the engagement.

In addition, C'thun could not be tanked, or if you will, it was pointless to have a 'tank' on him. You used tanks for tentacles and shit yes. Too few characters in 1 YT post to mentionall^^

@Rompulous natureres at lvl80? The problem is that his lightning doubles damage every jump. so if it hits with 4k (or 2k with resistance maxed out) it would kills anybody beyond the 4th jump as it would hit for 64k dmg (2->4->8->16->32->64->...)

Their flaw was a fucked up pull where the raid got the lighting at once
