Because the building is crumbling and needs millions of dollars spent on it before anybody is actually allowed to step foot into it. It's sad to see the old building slowly disintegrate. I really feel for these guys but they are the best in my book!
Gartner wasn't with the leafs for that series. If you remember when we were screwed by Kerry Frasier in Game 6 of the LA series, Glen Anderson took a penalty in the last minute of the third period. Anderson was traded the next year for Gartner
Let's look at the facts....they haven't done a thing since 1967....maybe expansion of the NHL was a bad thing for that stink hole of a town...The Jets and Nordiques were better teams even when they lost....get use to losing because Ottawa has your number now and they can't even beat the Western conference so wake up and smell the smog in that no where province

One of my favorite goals. Being a Pens fan, it bears mentioning that the 1993 Penguins team was by far the best in hockey. They closed the season on an NHL record 17 game winning streak and were looking at their 3rd straight title until David @!#$ Volek ruined everything.

I miss MLG...why can't they use it for jr hockey, the seats are gutted out, but if some millionair buys it and brings in new seats then it would bring the gardens back to life!

Because the building is crumbling and needs millions of dollars spent on it before anybody is actually allowed to step foot into it. It's sad to see the old building slowly disintegrate. If it was not for the buildings historical tag it would have already been taken to the ground with a wrecking ball.

MlSE owns it, and they are leaving it the way it is! The owner of the Senators wanted to buy it and they told him to screw off, he wanted to move one of OHL clubs into there, but they wouldn't budge either. No wonder the leafs suck! Making money is more worth than championships.

MLSE does not own it, Loblaws owns it.
It is also not good business to sell your property to a competitor. If Melnyk owned it he would be running competition to MLSE right in their own back yard. Why allow Melnyk to steal events away from the ACC?
Loblaws has plans to do something with it but they are in a bit of a financial crunch right now and are holding off until they get their books straightened out.

this city will probably never see a team like this for quite sometime!!! this 93 leaf team played with heart with gilmour and clark being the backbone of this team. it's also nice to see an arena with so much noise from it's fans!!! ACC seems to be dwarfed by the 'ol maple leaf gardens!!!

I've always hated the Leafs, hated Gilmour too, but looking back all these years later...that was a pretty sweet move he made on Joseph (who was lights out for the Blues for most of this series)

what a great year that was, best season of my lifetime too. 1992-93 will stand as the closest we've come to winning the cup since 67'. I couldn't sleep the night we lost.

This is the most talented Leafs team that I have seen during my lifetime. Clark, Gilmour, Andreychuck, Gartner, Ellett, a young Felix Potvin, and more. It's a damn shame that they had a bad break in the LA series. That would have been the greatest cup final of all time, Leafs vs Canadiens... I really feel for these guys but they are the best in my book!

Gartner wasn't with the leafs for that series. If you remember when we were screwed by Kerry Frasier in Game 6 of the LA series, Glen Anderson took a penalty in the last minute of the third period. Anderson was traded the next year for Gartner
