It would be impossible to outclass the original Clare Torrey at Abbey Road. David gilmour had no clue what he wanted her to do. Scat style singing is basically spontaneous and would never be repeated the same way twice, not even by cat for fear of becoming "contrived' ~ find me a live version of Clare. There will be no others that come close.

This is probably one of the most difficult Pink Foyd songs to play live. The lady who recorded the song on the album improvised the whole thing and she did an amazing job to say the least. But the singer who plays this live has to maintain the original improvised line, which is not so easy if you ask me.

Maybe that's not the PA sound, the guys who did the footage probably got the wrong source of audio for the background effects, so they used the audio track that the musicians use in order to keep the music in sync with the videos.

@Guiplex77 :) nope, you hear the metronome because that is a bootleg recording from the soundboard. It's possible to hear the metronome through all the bootleg, near in every tracks. I can tell because I downloaded the bootleg a few times ago from an hub of collectors.

@Guiplex77 It's most likely a real percussion instrument, these days, all professional drummers play to a click track and headphones, they have backing tracks to follow, it's called texture, extra vocals, guitar and drum backing samples. In a nut shell, the band follows the drummer.

But what it also has is a lot of direct feeds of the circular screen shot animations and sequences. I don't know how this bootleg got out there, but its well worth the download.
