I could say all of the nice things, but then there would be no criticism for improvement. I think some of it might be the version, but there were some pronunciation errors, and it started to fall apart a little around the "Il duol" part, including some pitch errors. With this said it's still in the upper end category of singing, and just cause my comments are very critical doesn't mean that I don't think it's good singing.
Beautiful legal lines and a very relaxed approach to singing. Personally I prefer Marilyn Horne but the higher version here is great. Try singing the "e che sospiri" beautifully and you will understand the technique required to get this right. This girl has it but I would rather hear her singing true soprano roles!! Absolutely love her decorations of the repeat! Classy!!!
i agree with this is the most sweet rendition of this aria on Youtube. She looks a little fragil for a few instants but her interpretation is very good.
Your analysis is totally incorrect and, therefore, patronoizing. Some of seek and find joy in excellence. Why should we settle for mediocrity or banality? Far too mnay people do.
alright then, what can you do from stopping talented singers from singing this aria? Perhaps it might be better if you enjoy the voices of other singers then?
The Italian pronunciation isn't the best and there's a problem with the sound recording at the beginning, however, I prefer her rendition over Gheorghiu's. Good Job! Beautiful Voice!
Great

The greatest critics are by ones that can't. She sings beautifully!
Also check out Hayley Westenra's performance on this, it's out of this world!

Here we go again: everyone wants to sing this aria.
Please don't. Leave it to those few countertenors and male sopranos who can.

Just relax sfkcbf. Obsession of that sort is an obsession.

I do not wish to stop talented singers from singing this aria. I simply would hope that they also have the appropriate vocal instrument and training.
