@chuckmarks2010 Monta Ellis sure would be a good addition, but the Warriors are no longer trying to trade him, and Ellis is a SG sometimes I keep thinking he's a point guard. So far the Lakers last option for an upgrade at PG looks like Gilbert Arenas, I know that sounds controversail but if they keep him at least just for this 1 season then they won't be responsible for part of his large contract. La needs to pursue point guards like jeremy lin. the lakers don't really need a point guard who can make plays for everyone as seen in their championshin reign, but they do need a point guard who can pass, defend, and score on a consistent basis even if it's not that much. I can't believe L.A just gave Odom to Dallas for what?? draft picks....what kind of non-sense is that? When Kobe demanded a trade in 2007 L.A didn't do it and it paid off cuz L.A won 2 more titles shortly afterwards. Now what if they don't get Howard before the season starts since they were robbed by Stern from getting CP3 We (Laker fans) better see some roster improvements this week or L.A will likely lose their 1st game to the Bulls who have a young, high-scoring elite PG unlike L.A.

@chuckmarks2010 Yeah that's right, but they took too big of a risk. I wouldn't mind Dwight Howard on the team They don't even really need Dwight. I know Bynum's suspended for the 1st 5 games, but he's in my opinion the 2nd best center after Dwight. L.A should diligently be trying to get a PG since Stern blocked the trade that would've landed CP3 with the Lakers. I'm just mad right now. It's 13 days b4 Christmas and all L.A got new so far is Jason Kapono, he's good but clearly not enough.

@chuckmarks2010 Monta Ellis sure would be a good addition, but the Warriors are no longer trying to trade him, and Ellis is a SG sometimes I keep thinking he's a point guard. So far the Lakers last option for an upgrade at PG looks like Gilbert Arenas, I know that sounds controversail but if they keep him at least just for this 1 season then they won't be responsible for part of his large contract. Arenas was waived by Orlando I don't know how much that changes his contract though

La needs to pursue point guards like jeremy lin. the lakers don't really need a point guard who can make plays for everyone as seen in their championshin reign, but they do need a point guard who can pass, defend, and score on a consistent basis even if it's not that much. Also, lin doesn't need to be tough like fisher, jeremy is an energy and hustle player, something that they do need in the point guard spot. He would be a great fit in LA

I'm not a Lakers fan, but I think trading Gasol and Odom for CP3 is a bad idea. Lakers use their length to their advantage, and that's what won them 2 championships after Gasol came. Lakers just need to fix their bench, and they will be fine. Hopefully we'll see Miami vs. Lakers in the Finals!!!

there is a chance that the chris paul trade could go through. owners are going to appeal. but another way to better their title chances are to pick up a good 2 guard to come off the bench. i'm pretty sure jamal crawford is a free agent. they can pick him up and have him come off the bench. he's a capable scorer, and he'd take minutes off kobe, ensuring kobe would be healthy for the playoffs.
