@MrSkippingteep What do you mean? Is he just in it for the money now adays? Im going to vegas and LA in the next few days so I am looking for really good muay thai/boxing gyms to go to and this one seemed good. Any info would be great thanks.

@thecrazyoftheinsane sup dude, this is late, but I wanna know how it's going for you with Toddy. I know he gives out credentials to be an MT instructor for 5k a pop regardless of any instructional experience the participator may have. I also hear that in 3 days, he can teach you all the techniques of MT . Frankly, I call this bullshit because you can't even properly learn the proper elbow mechanics in that amount of time. But anyways, how did you feel about the gym?

@xxzippyxx I didn't train at Toddy's but the general consensus is that he is more concerned with being a star than a trainer so he pays thai guys pretty close to nothing to train everyone while he takes the money. In vegas the best gym I went to by far was one kick nicks. They have great trainers and fighters there. I really wanted to go to top rank as well but thats boxing if your interested, seems like another great gym there.

i started training with master toddy when i was 16 in mancheter back in 1981 his left round house kick was like a bus hitting you unbelevable power he may be older and fater now but his system of training ( plain and simple works ) i would rarther have someone in my corner who could help me not just a lip flaper

@ken162008 Used to be in Vegas, and he may still have a branch but he's in Thailand now, and just came out to SF to present a few certifications to senior students/teachers. Another great kru is Ajarn Nelson, and my personal kru Sam Phimsoutham..also in SF.

@cheekymonkeyrob if its a toss up and a matter of opinion then what does it hurt? Its called marketing, Master Toddy is a great trainer if not the best. Its not like he doesnt have alot of champions to back up his claims.

Look at the video, "Master Toddy thai boxing legend 2" (it should be to the right of the screen), There's muay thai and kickboxing world champions all over the place. Now, compare it to the videos from America, look at the techniques and especially the stance, hip rotation in kicking and extension in knees. See the difference?

@kissmyarse666 Yes. I was giving an analogy. zxolotl111 said Master Toddt looks fat and laughed about him being the best Muay Thai trainer. I was just mentioning that Phil Jackson who coaches the World Champion Lakers also does not look like a great basketball player. My point is that to be the best coach in the sport doesn't mean that you have to look like the athletes you're coaching.

@zxolotl111 Thats like saying Freddie Roach is a bad boxing trainer because he has parkensons... how can he be a great boxing coach?... coaching is not about the health of the coach, its about his ability to see weaknesses in his fighter and decrease those while making his strengths even stronger. He is a coach not a fighter. Big difference. How many great NFL coaches are fat, short non pro football players? Same reasoning. Think before you type and do some research first.

Toddy is a good trainer and teacher but his gym is terrible. Toddy is never there and all his Thai trainers have left him. The training is redundant and in order to excel you must buy private lessons and belts. I think toddy has to come back to his THAI roots and train the students the right way. The gym is very poorly run and the lack of Thai trainers means you get amature results. Very disappointing.

@leebog31 hi mate . im really sorry to here that hes not giveing lessons anymore & i belaeve hes left some good fighters as top tranners such as alan belcher , it mite be becouse hes getting old mate , i beleave hes gone back to thailand for a wile or maybe for good he allways said he will go back to his home land , when he was traning all us over here he was hands on full time with lots of us , after the amount of years hes put into muay thai i think id be sick of it to mate you to probley .
