Having been a passenger on this trip, with only a base setup in the chassis, this little creature was very quick. I did notice that there was a comment on here about crap grip, well lets put a little thing straight here.... thats 120ish around clearways, drifting a little by choice,and using the throttle to light up the rear tyres enabled us to find out at what boost we broke traction, so now the mapping is corrected and the dampers sorted , we dont break traction we go faster!
with a busa 1300T? why use the clutch on changing up the box ? no need to ride the clutch neither! bad lines and crap grip! apart from that not bad would love to see it keep up with a caterham r500!

but the thing is radical has a racing body with massive spoilets dont u think it can corner quicker than this? no doubt this has more power! also doesnt the radical use the same hayabusa engine in this ? so what prevents the radical from getting the same upgrades ie turbo!? then what will happen which will be quicker?

Now thats a serious car! sure i spotted a 58 sec lap which considering theres loads of traffic is seriously quick, that cars got to be capable of a 50 sec lap surely?
A bike engine'd car with a 130bhp Fireblade engine can do a 52s lap around Brands Indy, and stock busa powered cars are below 51s (see the RGB lap record table), so a 50s lap should be fairly easy Id say. :)
revcom301 - I can assure you that Duncan can drive, this was the new car's shakedown, hence why he was taking it easy - if by 'easy' you mean 'annhilating everything else on the track'.
Right for starters this is the first time out for this car so it was a shakedown session .
And as for Duncan cant drive well my little keyboard worrier take a look back at totb and time attack and see who won the handling .the results speak for themselves.

Sure you could upgrade the engine in a radical, but there's a lot going on inside a new rush that most people have no idea of.
The De Dion suspension setup is pretty trick. Generally they kick arse wherever they enter competitions.

its a shame that brands doesn't have a longer straight, by the time he gets any speed up he has to plant his foot on the brake. fantastic car though!
