  • This is a great combination, Tommy Dorsey 78 played on RCA Victor tube phonograph!! This phonograph has very good sound with a wide response...Friends, Lloyd.

  • I have a very nice single of this on 78 Victor and like to sell it.

  • Bunny's solo is one of the greatest trumpet solos of all time imo.

  • That's indeed swingin' in a great big way! Bunny Berigan on trumpet. Great sound too, even when the shellack seems to be quite worn. But what would you expect else from such a big hit? It's been played over and over again since 1937 when it came out.

  • 78's sound best on the record players designed for them originally. They require a different equalization curve from 33 and 45 rpm records to sound correct. When played on the right 78 rpm player they sound excellent and noise free.

  • My favorite swing number of all time. 5 stars!

  • If you EVER decide to sell this unit PLEASE let me know. I had one like it once, and to this day I regret getting rid of it .

Thank you for all the great music too !

  • Nice song, but the best sound quality on a 78. My GE Wildcat has a 78 speed and it does have issues where it doesn't have a flip needle to play 78's, just a regular type of LP/45 needle only. This LP/45 needle can ruin 78's, but it had the worst sound quality of 78's playing on my 1975 GE Wildcat. IMO, I do have that song from the LP "This Is Tommy Dorsey" on the RCA Victor label back in 1971. I will do a song of that later on "MagcialWorldofMusic".
