An agenda exists (by foreigners) to pitch Aryan India against Aryan Iran. Both Rig Vedic Sanskrit and Avesthan Persian are very very similar. The blunt truth is the people of Kashmir Valley and Southern Tajik people are purest of the original Aryans. Ancient Sanskrit and Ancient Persian were very nearly the same.
The Kashmiri spoken in the Valley has a Rigvedic base and uses ancient Rigvedic words quite often. In most of our region grapes are Angoor while in Kashmiri Dasha (Sanskrit DrAkSA), clouds in most of our region Badal, in Kashmiri Abur (In Rigvedic Sanskrit Abhra).

Study the Rajataringini to know the real history of Kashmir till 12 Century A.D. Please do not manufacture history. Sikander was from the Shahmiri dynasty and the documented origins of this dynasty are totally different than what you mention. Besides they were not Turks. Earlier the mighty king of Kashmir Lalitaditya did a job on the Turks and Arabs..

Nice discussion, but agreedly lot of false data. All who know Sanskrit will tell you that Kashmiri language even spoken by the Muslims today has a strong Rigvedic Sanskrit base. Kashmiris like most Indians are the purest Aryans due to their relative isolation. Many Tajiks have a strong resemblance to the Kashmiris.

The Arabs never even came close to the State of Jammu and Kashmir let alone the Valley of Kashmir. During this period Kashmir was a huge empire particularly under the mighty Lalitaditya. The Arabs only made it to Sind and Multan. Lalitaditya and the famous Rajput Bappa Rawal defeated the Arabs and chased them further into Iran.

The 12th Century A.D. excellent history of Kashmir informs us to what Kashmiris looked like. They had big eyes, sharp nose and were fair in colour. The fighting units like the Tantrins (soldiers in Sanskrit), etc., were very well built. Duels were not ucommon (to death) during many a time. For example the King Harsa of Kashmir as mentioned by the historian Kalhana was extremely handsome and very strong physically and mentally in his youth.

An agenda exists (by foreigners) to pitch Aryan India against Aryan Iran. Both Rig Vedic Sanskrit and Avesthan Persian are very very similar. Modern Kashmiri does have some Arabic and little Central-Asian Persian (as the Mughals spoke Persian) but its base is very close only to Rig Vedic Sanskrit even now. Many of my Kashmiri Pandit friends speak Kashmiri (which I understand fully) which is very nearly the same as 14th century Kashmiri only similar to Rig Vedic Sanskrit. No Arabic in it.

Both J&K and Afghanistan share a border. Both Kashmir (mostly) Afghanistan (to a large extent) are Aryan people, however, yet they are distinct.
Afghanistan a country has more often been invaded, for example, Alexander, Chandrgupta Maurya, Kushans, Chandragupta 2, Kashmir, Mongols, Mughals, Jat-Sikh etc., yet Afghanistan like Kashmir has retained her identity. Both respect each other but their culture, etc. is quite different.

Little knowledge is dangerous. Abur (both in Kashmiri and Sanskrit) means a cloud. Ab is a common name for water in Rigvedic Sanskrit and Avesthan for water. Finally in all ceremonies a KP will use the word Agun (for Agni), while the Dogras like me use the word Agni.

Though the history is fabricated the pictures are great. The British did push their agenda but their history of the Indian subcontinent had a degree of credibility and depth. While my State of india is the J&k State by Kashmiri means only people who belong to the Kashmir Valley. The Kashmiris speak a language Kashmiri which is kin to Sanskrit. Due to influence iof Islam the Muslim Kashmiris also use some Arabic words. Example they refer to fire as Nar, while a traditional Hindu refers to fire as Agun. The J@K state is an extremely diverse state.

Yusuf Shah Chak was a descendent of Pandu Chak (a Hindu), the Chaks were either native to the Valley or were from the periphery of the Valley. They were Aryans and not Turks. I come from Neelam Valley Kashmir and never have i seen a more beautiful land than ours, we live in janaat and breath the air of Jannat. Inshallah a Azadi for our Kashmiris occupied in the Valley. Allama Iqbal, the national poet of Pakistan, was also Kashmiri but he was born in presnt day Punjab province of Pakistan.

This is absolutely true. Kashmiri culture is immensely influenced by Irani culture. For Iran and Kashmiri both famous for their carpets (Qaleen Bafi'). Food such as Aab Goosht in Iran known as 'Ghoosht aaba' in Kashmir and also Shab Deeg is a famous Kashmiri dish. Allama Iqbal known as Iqbal Lahori in Iran used to call Kashmir ' Iran-e- Sagheer' i.e. little Iran.
Kashmiri language has almost 40% persian in it.............there are a lot more proof of it but liitle space.

Pure Kashmiris are long gone killed or living an unknown life in differnt parts of India & abroad. Now all you are gonna find is arab, turk & mongol mix hindus converted muslims in today's Kashmir. No Kashmiri in Kashmir & POK is true Kashmiri anymore. Why worry about language when culture, tradition & spirit is already long gone ? I am myself not a true Kashmiri anymore now better not cry over lost cause.

lol soo truee.. same im from azad kashmir but styll im not pure kashmiri either cuz im Mughal.. mughals came from turkey .. but styll we came to kashmir like 100years ago therefore we are kashmiries:)

I am an azad kashmiri. I haven't been back since 2004 and I miss it. The earth quake really shocked me and it seems so different now, like we were punished, our people. It was shocking.
