I call my teacher "Sensei" and I bow on and off the mat, as well as at the beginning and end of the session, as well as before training or using any techniques. It's called repsect. It also means "this is training, if I hurt you... your bad, not mine!"
I also realise that not doing all this might make it seem strange, but when I first started MMA/CSW training it felt weird not showing respect to eachother other than a high-5/nod.
