@rotwfighter considering the highest end GTS (nVidia) card on the market right now is the 590, you're looking a little behind, I'd recommend maybe a little step up, personally I prefer nVidia card because of physx and other stuff that AMD cards lack.

With Alienware all you are really paying for is the case and name. This really seems like a niche market to me. It caters to people hard core enough to spend a shit ton of money on a computer but ignorant enough not to know to build their own computer for half the price.

I own Alienware Aurora ALX (The first filmed in this video)

No custom pc can compare to Alienware,the quality of the case is quite impresive,it has high quality fans,high quality sensors,high quality cooler,it's really a high end computer,but trust in me when i say,Custom computer with i7 950 vs Alienware with i7 950 will do exactly the same.

The alienware PSU is Gold certified 875w,wich is powerfull,motherboard can match and probably beat any Asus Extreme R.O.C LGA 1366... so ..

@dumpstac Because they don't build these with as much care as we do ourselves! They may look tricked and unique, but they are not. They are mass produced. Love the harddrive features and some of the other features, but I bet these are way over priced. There's nothing like building your own, plus you can spend a reasonable amount without gimping on power supply and ram. Great for people that have lots of money and don't build themselves or have the time though. But best to learn!

@illkillyoubitch mmmm i built several laptops and desktops on ibuypower and every other botique there was and there was only one website that came down to being only 300 dollars cheap than the alienware i own. when your buying a computer with a monitor and a keyboard and decent graphics and processing your gonna spend money. i got my alienware aurora for 1622 with a 24 inch led monitor and razer blackwidow ultimate keyboard. geforce 560ti and i5 2500k 12mb ram and 2 tb of hd, fair price agreed?

Also, all of the bad reviews about their customer care and products is just plain hate. other businesses hate because they didn't get bought out and mass produced and make as much money as alienware. it happens in every other industry its the same with computers. everyone thinks their product is " the best" some are right. most arent. plus most cpus from ibuypower and places like that bluescreen to death within 2 years i know people that have owned plenty. if you want to build your own.

Alienware is crap people all you are getting is a fancy case and a name. Dont believe me go to the customer review site my3cents DOT COM and read all the horror stories. If you want a top of the line PC like this build it yourself or go with Falcon Northwest or Digital Storm they will treat you right. Oh and the Customer support will be America unlike Alienware(owned by Dell)

My area 51 motherboard crashed (pentium 4) abit aa8xe. i called alienware trying to get a price on the replacement they told me it was 735 + shipping and handleing. wh ythe fuck would i pay close to 800 bucks to rebuild a shitty pentuim 4 system??? that like me paying 20k for a 1976 honda. you can build amd x6 system for a fraction of that cost. fuck you alienware

You can build the same systems as Alienware has for cheaper. Only difference, which I like, are the Alienware cases. Only reason why I would get one of their items is for the exclusive case. Other than that.. You can match performance at a cheaper price. So yeah, It just looks pretty.

@67tr876 It's not hard to build one, you just spend 20 minutes and you can understand the basic principles of it all - any questions and you can ask. Psu is something you don't wanna skip money on, like generic power supplies and you should ground yourself when building, pref for me is using esd anti static wristband but it's not needed but it ensures you 95% you won't esd your components are opposed to self grounding with one arm touching metal.. etc etc
