YEAH HE was Sam ( diff'rent strokes) , he was bobby budnick ( salute your shorts) and the kid from terminator 2 actor and musician, it is Danny Cooksey the singer this dude is crazy man i like it i can't sing this song like him , i'll lose my voice nobody can , that's awesome he's on twitter
Great band - wrong place, wrong time. If they came out today they would be HUGE. Back then their youth counted against them - today you are either young or nothing.
Goddamn it, why couldn't there be kids bands like this today? Fuck Jonas Bros, fuck Naked Brothers Band and fuck any other emo and/or Disney owned band out there today!
its really odd....when I was 19 I thought this album sucked SO BADLY (might've been because I was bitter about sex and religion...YUK!) and then 20 years later....SOMEHOW this sounds decent to me....guess my taste is deminished in old age>?
Danny Cooksey sings very well. He doesn't just do heavy metal but he can sing slow ballads as well. Check out his new band, Arbuckle. He should be more famous.
Danny Cooksey (singer) does voice work for cartoon and stuff. Thyere's an amateur website his people maintain for him if you search his name. The drummer is in Suicidal Tendancies. I think Thomas (guitar) works in a record store in Cali, and Zac (bass) is in some other bad. That's last I knew, anyway. They were signed as a throwaway band for girls' dollars, ten they made the mistake of making their album cover for this with all of them nude as juvies. No one likes child porn.
I also remember there was trouble in the band because Thomas was British and the others were American. I read that his father told him that he was too good for his bandmates. FYI, I looked him up; he lives in Newcastle, England. He's married and doing production(?) work. He was on myspace.
B4G got ripped off by the industry by the time they came along. I wonder if they'd do it again if they knew they would make it the second time? Danny's website looks like he's busy and happy now without B4G. Dunno...
Definitely like this sound better than Black Tide, but you gotta give credit to Black Tide, they do write their own music. These guys didn't write much, if anything on the 'Refugee' album.
One of the best bands of the early 1990s. It's sad they didn't last a bit longer but, since I got "Refugee" on tape back in 1992 from my mom, I've been still listening to that album mostly everyday since I got it at the mall. For a band with teenage musicians, they sure have Attitude compared to bands nowadays.
just shows you what a being in a band can do cuz these kids were getting 20 yr old chicks!! and what happen to the guitarist? He was steve vai in a 12 yr. old body!
Damn, I haven't heard this song in years, and it still kicks ass. I love how much fun the drummer looks like he's having. Remember the days when music was actually fun and not all angsty? God, I'm old. XD
Ya know,I had this band on cassette back in '93 or '94(I forget),then years later found it at a pawn shop on cd,somewhere down the line I lost that cd.These kids really could play, afterall, isn't Thomas the son of the jazz/fusion great John Mclaughlin??
LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!! i 1st saw bad4good on MTV`s headbangers ball way back in the 90`s.i agree, too bad that this band didn`t make a go of it.still rocks hard to this day.
Who ever thought that Danny Cooksey would go from playing "Sam" (Arnold's new step brother) in "Different Strokes" to playing "Robert Budnick" in "Salute Your Shorts" to being the lead singer of a rock n roll band. If anyone isn't aware, the lead guitar player is the same kid in Steve Vai's video, "The Audience Is Listening." He's one good guitar player! The scary thing is that he was only 12 when he played with Bad 4 Good.
one of the best ever too bad they didnt make a go of it. loved the disc oh the highschool memories this brings back. if anyone thinks this is lame they are totally wrong cuz look how young these kids were when they made this.
You're a fucking idiot denveraic. Killer guitar, amazing vocals and a bad ass drummer. Everything you need to make a good "Rock & Roll" Band... This band had more talent at a younger age than most bands that had been around longer. I hate idiots who constantly put down the Hair Band/Hard Rock bands of the late 80's & 90's. These bands had more musical talent than most of the more serious bands at the time and we're alot more fun to listen to than that damn depressing grunge area that followed.
Like someone said "Bad Timing" for a group of this talent to come out. At the same time Grunge was taking over the music world. I Loved this CD. Slow & Beautiful and Nothin' Great about a Heartache. Very Awsome songs. But Terminate is atill Great because Danny was in Terminator 2 as John Conners Friend.
I was so impressed when I saw the video ( I was in my 20's). I was playing bass in a band also and wished I had started that young...The album STILL kicks butt to me!!!
I think they should reunite. The music may have been written by Guitar God Steve Vai, but they performed with style and energy that is missing in many of todays music acts world wide. I salute the band
I'd love to meet all these guys someday, although I don't know what good it would do. Probably won't ever have the chance anyway. Its too bad though, especially since I've had a crush on Danny for 12 out of 16 years of my life. How terrible is that? I'm half his age.. and hes married with a kid! XD
This came out during the height of grunge and was crushed by tons of depressing, no talent, flannel wearing wannabees.. They should have been bigger, but that's the industry for you.
from bein the little kid on diff'rent strokes, to bein bad ass on salute your shorts, then bein in a kick ass band. haha (he was also in 2 other bands, one called lucys' milk and the other im not sure of)
Wow, obviously these are the guys some fucked up German producers ripped the band "Tokio Hotel" off!
