According to the National Weather Service, there an EF-0 tornado that touched down in Park Slope, Brooklyn (winds of 80 mph, max path width of 75 yards and a length of 2 miles), while a EF-1 tornado hit Flushing and Bayside, Queens (winds of 100 mph, max path width of 100 yards, and length of 4 miles). ..
I'll bet most of you tards will still say it wasn't a tornado.
You haven't see anything yet. Wait until the Great Tribulation starts. Acts 2;38 is still God's plan of salvation. Obey while u have a chance. Jesus Christ is coming soon.
The recent Tornado was the only one I have witnessed. I heard there was one in Sunset Park around 2009 or 2009 and now this. I never heard of any of them, but now I got to see the most recent one.
the tornado actually hit the place where i lived and i slept through the whole thing LOL. i didnt kno until i went outside the next morning and saw the traffic lights fallen down and trees on top of cars. i was so suprised because i have never seen a tornado or flood in brooklyn!
I remember that night. Trying to sleep during that loud storm in Astoria, Queens. Then waking up in the morning to so many text messages about how a Tornato has hit Brooklyn, turn on the news, etc. It was such an unreal day.
I live in Staten Island. I was lying in bed, and all of a sudden a huge wind gust went by and rain poured down. I was one of the most instance storms I've ever seen.
i live on staten island and work nights.. i got home around 5AM and when i got out the car.. it was so eerily quiet.. you couldn't hear ANYTHING!! and i didnt know about about the twister till later that day.. it was a nasty storm but the tornado missed me, thank god.. i live on a 2nd floor
In northwest NJ we didn't get a tornado. But this storm came through where I live at 2:45 in the morning. I produced lightning like I never saw before.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?!!? LMFAO!! You know how old that fact is??? My dad used it when he was in school 30 YEARS AGO!!It's a KNOWN Fact NOW that keeping your windows open will just cause more damage. OMG haha I CAN'T BELEIVE I'm hearing this.
yes we do people just ignore them like the lighting storm we had the friday befor the tornado it was crazy and the summer befor that we had a real bad storm in the bronx and upper manhattan
This is not true on the windows being opened. That is an old wives tale you should always keep windows opened. Trust me I live in Oklahoma we keep our windows shut.
you should leave the window cracked open, unliek the woman int he background was saying. The enormous pressure change outside can cause your windows to burst if you dont let the pressure equalize
Tornadoes are not very rare in New York, They are seldom and occasanial. They usually happen in June, July, and August, and they are usually weak like the ones in Flordia.
You talk about Tornadoes being very rare in some area look at Israel, Guam, Alaska, Russia, Maine, Oregon, and Artic Canada!!!!
Was that Margaret Hamilton on a bicycle that morphs into a broom that I saw zooming by? Best wishes to lowland, waterfront Brooklynites (in Bay Ridge, people have lawns! How quaint is that?) from us Central Brooklyn tenement-dwelling highlanders. :-) Also, I second what whamm234 said.
shoot some aftermath shoots, ill have to admit, never seen so much of a natural disaster. so close to home. Like said to their comment, subways are the safest place to hide during a tornado, so we are pretty lucky to have that on our sides.
if by that, the after math, even i have some footage of that, Just uploaded. but this video seen here is the best and maybe only video footage of that tornado
What is that noise in the background?

NEVER leave any window open during a tornado! The damage will be greater! Enough air will get into the house believe me!
