  • that was a real good video. iam just geting started coytoe hunting and i watched all your videos.

  • @KevinBrueg Thanks, best of luck with coyotes!

  • Great selfhunt! very cool!

  • I'm gettin educated tonight on youtube-lol First coyote hunt in 3 days.

Hope I do as well as you.

  • Awesome bud. I've tried that several times but never had any luck.

  • @roger851 i wouldnt ay altogether but im all for controlling the numbers safely

  • Wow thats a big boy. Nice shootin.

  • Good shot and nice coyote.

  • Nice shot, heading out tomorrow myself.

  • Good shooting through the trees there man!

  • Studies have shown that coyotes respond to trapping & hunting by producing more pups. A bounty won't do much. For the most part we are free to shoot all we like as long as one can find the spot. Alberta blonde coyote used to bring as high as $245, now they are barely worth skinning. Canadian people that rely on trapping as a life style only trapped more when bottom dropped on furs. When I trapped lynx brought $1400 highest price $500 average. Canada is huge & traplines vast 20 lynx pffa.

  • AR-15 chambered in 22-250 would be sweet

  • i used to kill coyotes with my .177 rifle(non pellet gun) or my .22 haha...i use my ol sks 7.64x39 now

  • I preferred him when he was walking around.

  • then don't watch hunting videos watch wildlife vids and you can see lots of animals walking around and not getting shot.

  • I enjoy seeing them walking around too. But, my livlihood isn't effected, yet, by them. If I raised sheep, cattle, or any animals, I would still love to see them, but most of the time it would be through a scope, mounted on my .243.

  • Really? I thought he had a little too much blood for my taste. Good shot, hunter0055! Way to knock 'em down!

  • Good job! He hardly gave you time to settle in did he? I use my Parker Hale 243 for coyotes. The biggest one ( I didn't shoot it) was just over 60 lbs. The DNR have told us they're seeing more and bigger ones all the time. Not enough control, with no bounty. They pretty much count on guys just enjoying the challenge of a good day hunting. Wouldn't a bounty on them be great?

  • Thanks, yea he came in quick! a bounty would be awesome for sure.

  • Holy crap! That was one quick shot!

  • That was a nice coyote! And ofcourse, well aimed shot. I hope the skinning wasn't difficult and without damage. Thats a beautifull hunt you got!

  • thats awesome i use a .243 with 80grain for coyotes

  • What gun do you recommend for coyotes?

  • 22-250 is a good caliber or 220 I wouldn't go any bigger than a 25-06

  • It will be alot harder to call that coyote in again but it still can be done. There should be other coyotes around so I would go back there and give it another try.

  • great kill, im 13 and i called one in three weeks ago while hunting with my dad, unfortunatly he missed it with my .270 do you know if the same coyote will still come to the area if i called, and do you know if it is smart to that call now?

  • wow nice shot he's a nice one. what kind of round did you use?

  • Thanks, I use a 25-06 with remington core-lok 120 grain for coyotes.

  • Good job,slam dunk.

  • Great video! I also live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and hunt the same kind of habitat. I self film all of my hunts, so I can appreciate how EXTREMELY difficult it is to get a kill on video. Way to go!

  • Thanks!

  • wow, nice dog! it is so hard to find coyote videos that are filmed in thick cover like this. i live up in the U.P. and this is the only kind of area we have got. just really think and remote forest. it is nice to see coyote hunting in something other than a field for a change. keep up the good work pal!

  • Thanks!

  • what kind of weather condition do you look for when coyote hunting??

    And what time of day??

here in washington they seem to be mostly nocturnal

  • You can hunt coyotes in just about any kind of weather. If you use calls a calm day with little wind is ideal and first thing in the morning is when I have had my best luck.

  • VA August county pays $75.00 bounty to hunters for each coyote killed, due to the massive coyote population in Augusta Co Va.

Do you guys have a bounty on them too up there in BC Canada?

    good shooting,

  • No we don't have any bountys for them up here, wish we did 75$ that's not bad!

  • nice shot lol y dont u eat them thats good meat right there?

  • what do you guys do with them?

  • The ones in good shape I skin out and keep or sell.

  • do you guys eat those?

  • no you don't eat them.

  • where are you hunting?

  • BC Canada

  • Great video! I think it should be every deer hunter's duty to hunt coyotes in the winter. :)

  • Thanks, I agree with you on that one for sure.

  • i agree, and i am currently doing so.

im going wednesday morning ill post my hunt if i get anything

  • Good luck to you!

  • Was that a small wolf? That things huge. We have a ton of coyotes here but that looks like the biggest one I've ever seen. Unless your 4 feet tall.

  • lol, nope he was just a big one!

hows your season going having any luck?

  • I am having a ton of luck but it's all bad. I passed on two decent bucks waiting for a big one and then I ended up shooting nothing. I have a two week archery season starting Dec 10 for any elk and any whitetail or mulie bucks. At this point my standards are pretty low. If it doesn't have spots I will probably let fly with an arrow. With work though I will probably only get out a couple of times.

  • Well good luck to ya!

  • sweet video

  • Yea you flattened him for sure! That thing was huge, good vid.
